]]>Hi,
I created a test account using regular buddypress registration form.
You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address.
I logged into my email, and clicked the link in the email to activate the account.
I keep getting this message:
———————————–
Invalid activation key
———————————–
I even copied the key directly from email link and entered in to the activation field, still keep getting the “invalid activation key” message.
I then deleted the account from backend and resisted the new account again.
Again, it is same problem: invalid activation key.
i am using
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-activation-email/
What is the problem? How can I fix it?
Please advise.
Thank you.
This plug-in works flawlessly on verifying users emails are real and the account are valid, but is there a setting to NOT have the admin sent an email each time a NEW user registers? Can I change the code somewhere?
Thanks in advance…
Later,
Larry
Would be very cool, if a user’s status was automatically changed to that of an unapproved user, and a new activation code sent out, when a user changes his email address. The user would then have to enter the new activation code before his next login (just like a new user would have to). This way, the web site admin would know that all of the email addresses, for all active user accounts, are always real and working. We’ve had issues where users would activate an account using a working email address and then change it a non-working one, and the web site admin can’t retroactively see which e-mail address was originally used to register. Thanks!
]]>hi, right now even if a user is not activated i get an email,
can i get the emails post activation?
and is it posible not to register the users untill activated?
thanks
]]>Hi, tried you plugin today
activation not working
I use Hide my WP and TML plugins.
in email it generates
https://my-domain/login-2/?uae-key=uaL*wVD8mL
such link, but it’s not working.
and one more thing, it once generated this link
https://rabotu.kz/login-2/?uae-key=sOAFH%W^MQ
but the ^ char is not supported by the address bar in browser, seems.
]]>Hi there
I have been using your User Activation Email plugin with success. However, it stopped working after I installed PMP. Do you know of any compatibility issues? Do you know how to make them work together?
Thanks,
Jose
]]>Hi,
The email sent to the admin email, informing of when a new member signs up, contains blank details.
New user registration on your site: (blank)
Username: (blank)
E-mail: (blank)
Any ideas why?
Plus under WordPress > Users > All Users…
Approval Status (blank)
Activation Status (blank)
Uses to be set (as ACTIVE), but this plugin isn’t apply them any value at all? They are blank. Also, is it possible to manually toggle (enable/disable) the accounts from here?
]]>Hey,
my first try this plugin would get an activation error.
the last character of my key was (
and the link don′t get it.
Activation Code: ODjbcI9Zb(
https://yoursite.com/wp-login.php?uae-key=ODjbcI9Zb(
Don′t know if this is possible enough but some new user could think
the key isn′t correct and need support…

]]>Hi,
is it possible to get the function to reset all profiles to
clean the database from robots and dead profiles?
If there comes no activation after X days the profile
will be deleted.
Maybe there is a plugin with this function but i don′t
know it…
Thanks for reply!
]]>This plugin works great except, once they register they are allowed access without entering the activation code. Is there a way to auto log them out so they have to re-login with the activation code the first time.
]]>After new user has registered, it shows error:
Fatal error: Undefined class constant ‘user_meta’ in /../../public_html/test.com/wp-content/plugins/user-activation-email/user-activation-email.php on line 352
When you check afterwards the user list, this new user is added, but breaking the site with this error is really bad and it needs to be fixed ASAP. I really need this to authenticate new users and this inconvenience is exactly what i didn’t need now..
I hope you take care of it as soon as possible because it’s a good plugin after all
thanks
This is a nice plugin Nate! Just wanted to give you some quick feedback. I’m testing this plugin for a website I run. After activating the plugin, I get the following notices and errors (I have wp_debug set to true):
Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method UserActivationEmail::localization() should not be called statically in /Users/thad/Sites/wordpress/test.com/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 429
The plugin generated 567 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
I’m running 3.8, fresh WP install, 2013 theme. Cheers!
]]>Dear author,
Using your great plugin in a theme. Went to users > users and I noticed that the active column has issues sorting.
It seems like it will sort all admins but it will not sort through all users. I will try have a look at it again later.
Please if you know this issue or how to deal with it. Let me know.
Cheers
Rommel

Thanks in advance.

]]>Hey Nate, I finally found your plugin that will send an activation link to a potential registered user before adding him/her to the users list and I’m hoping that it will work with my version 3.6. Is this the case or are you still planning on keeping this plugin up to date? Thanks for all your hard work by the way as I have other plugins created by you working just fine on my site and look forward to trying this one also.
]]>Hello there!
Hope someone can help me. I wonder why if I login as different user, it always keeps on asking for activation code even if it has already been activated. I checked the Users table in the backend, the active status doesn’t change from No to Yes. What seems to be the problem. Please help. Thank you.

]]>HOW TO CODE A
Hello
I use s2 Members and another plugin custom activation.
What is the code to insert custom forms for email validation? I can not find it
It works for the default welcome email avc wordpress, but I use the e mail and suddenly I do not know what code to put between:
%activation code ??%
thank you

]]>I like the idea of sending an activation code for a registration, but not generating a random password. It causes the user to have to enter two random strings when they login for the first time, meaning they need to go back to their email twice to copy the string and paste it into the login form.
Can I let the user select their own password on registration?

]]>Is there a “time-limit”…?
In other words, this user is put in your user list when he’s technically not a user yet, so is there a period in which if the account is not activated he’s/they are cleaned out?
If not, what really is the purpose of this plugin? (an incentive to login, and retain clients if they want to eventually login?)
Could you maybe add a field or something in the User’s, so we could only show them, and then download a user-list of them only, and/or be able to resend their validation emails, maybe with an email editor so we can add additional info etc.?
Oh, one other thing….
Could you add the ability to stop the email from showing the Title “WordPress” and the Email “[email protected]? Make it instead show the Website Title and also the email for the website? there is a plugin that does this, but it should be a function of your’s.
Thanks

]]>I have multisite installed, by default a mail is sent for user registration, but on one of my blog the theme installed on it has disabled this functionality, so i used your plugin, after activating plugin i don’t see any setting page for plugin, if there is any, but i do see activation code/status in user profile.
I registered a user after activating plugin, and still user signed in just after getting registered as it was happening before activating your plugin.
I can see that user is not in active in user profile page and code is appearing there, but user is also signed in, can you please suggest any solution

]]>I thought this plugin was great at first.
On the site I had it installed It caused users to be able to login with any password. . .
So anyone could login to the admin account with random text.
Now I’m not sure if it was caused by conflicts with other plugins on my site or if it is a genuine bug but when you do install it make sure you check for this.
Thanks

]]>This plugin would be better if you added a redirect after login so that we could send users to any page we wanted after they login instead of going to the user dashboard.
