When I downloaded the plugin, I thought it worked slightly differently. Unfortunately, I didn’t find what I was looking for anywhere, so please add new functions:

1. An additional shortcode that shows a photo of the person viewing the page, not the author of the post. E.g. [avatar_logged]
2. Adding a default photo that will be used if the user is not logged in or there are problems with loading his photo.
3. Possibility to adjust the displayed photo. For example, I would like the photo to be rounded to a circle and also a little larger. Let me customize it.
4. Also possible to add photo overlays depending on the user’s role.

Requests are sorted from the most needed to the least desired, although I would be happy if all of the above features could be added.

Hello, I think I missed something! I put this shortcode on a post

[avatar size=”96″ align=”center” /]

but when I connect to test with the profile of a user who has his avatar it shows my admin avatar. it is a private site and each user has a role with an avatar that I entered … Can you give some information? Thank You !

Is there a way to activate this plugin for all types of users – including suscribers, not just for contributors, authors and admins?

EDIT – I rebuilt all the pages that had the shortcode [avatar_upload] on them and the plugin is now working, it seems.

Assuming that subscribers are able to edit their avatars is actually a feature, then my question appears resolved. Otherwise, will my site ‘break’ again for subscribers at some point – and if so the original question stands. Thanks again for any help.

Hi! It’s a nice add-on.

I have profile edit page with acf and acfe in frontend. When I add it with the [avatar_upload] shortcode, there are 2 update profile buttons, which is not very useful. Is there a way to connect it to the image field I created in acf?

I am unsure if this is something you would be able to fix, but I use the wordpress download manager plugin: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/

When I have your avatar plugin enabled it appears to not allow my users to upload images within the download packages of WPDM, it uses the native wordpress media library for these image uploads.

They can still attach actual “packages” which are the main download files, this part doesn’t seem to use the native wordpress media library window.

Every user apart from admin role gets: You are not allowed to attach files to this post.

Just wondered if there is any chance you may know what would cause this to happen?
