I have purchased Pro version with no luck!

It’s impossible to trust a plugin that provides shortcodes that doesn’t ANYWHERE have any documentation for those shortcodes. I checked every tab of the plugin profile, and there’s nothing, just screen shots and a change log. Nothing in WordPress in the plugin’s setting pages. I even pawed through the support forum, and the author’s site. All you need is a list. Just a list. There’s no list. Anywhere. A total waste of time.

Clean install gets scripting errors.
Developer has no customer service. There is a form to log in. If you click sign up, you have to pay $30 to become a registered user.
Not sure how the dev expects people to buy “pro” when “lite” has errors and there is a garden wall surrounding any sort of support.

A lot of script errors generated when using this plugin. So it’s not an option.

The free version is basically useless unless you have fewer than 100 users on your site – it’s more useful as a demonstration of the pro version functionality.
I was expecting this to integrate with the normal WordPress users listing / editor, but instead it has a whole separate screen where you search for meta data. At least you can add columns to that table, so you can easily see the data you are most interested in for several users.

The plugin is simply great! I asked the author for help for advanced use of his plugin and I got the code in no time!
Thank you very much!!!

The plugin works, even when using public-facing profiles like Theme My Login. The ordering doesn’t work with TML, unfortunately.
There is only basic validation, if there is even ANY validation. Selecting “Telephone” as the field still allows you to type if “fffffffffff”, for example. It does not seem capable of limiting fields to N-characters or allow regex patterns, which would have been amazing.
It has a lot more potential, but it doesn’t reach it. It is very basic, with most of the effort put into the ANNOYING animated ajax menus in the dashboard. It doesn’t feel like WordPress, either.
I hate my productivity being limited by the screen sliding around. It’s sickening, why is that even a thing.

Does more than expected, well laid out, well programmed!

Since there are favorable reviews in the past I assume compatability with the latest version is the problem I had. On ver 3.8 I get a fatal error on attempt to activate. I was able to delete the unusable plugin without any problem. I’d like to try it after an update to fix current problem.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Helped me big time when I wanted to include phone-numbers etc. by default in my User Meta.

**revised again – author fixed issue. Now properly works with 42,000 users.
The setup took me a really long time to figure out, and the documentation is in the plugin, which is good, the the examples and shortcodes are tough to figure out the first time around. After you use this thing once, it will take no time at all.

This plugin helped me out of hours of potential custom work. It does the job and it does it the right way.

This plug-in is just what I needed, extra fields to the meta user information and usable using the get_meta from within php
Great, THANKS !

I rate myself 5 STARS for effort.

I hope I’m the only one experiencing this problem:
I’ve added new custom meta (globally), but then it doesn’t show up in the user profile. The keys that I create also don’t show up in the “Edit Custom Meta”, but they do in the “Delete Custom Meta”
What’s going on?

Not sure what the previous reviewers mean … if I change a field for one user as far as I can see, it is only changing the value for that one user.
So for me it’s 5 stars

This plugin has an impressive UI of its own. Where it falls down is how it integrates with WordPress’s ordinary UI, and specifically the user profile page generated by WordPress. As @samdecrock mentions, if you update the field for one user, it updates for all users, and the reason for this is because it tries to update the fields for the current user who is logged in making the change, as opposed to the user who is being edited. This can be seen on lines 897 and 1119 of plugin version 2.0.6. I have fixed this issue on my own site and can submit my code to the author if it is desired, but it’s a simple fix.

If I change a field on one user,
it changes on all users!

Very useful plugin and works well.
I was very pleased with Jason’s responsiveness in the support forum. I had an issue with the newer version and he turned around a fixed version update in about 24 hours!
Reason for -1 star is the interface feels a bit clunky and hard to use at times… But I know that’s something Jason is continuously improving, so it shouldn’t hold you back from using this plugin.

… having backend and frontend access to the usermeta data is very useful.
Would have given 5 stars if data could be exported as CSV etc.
]]>Great interface and works exactly as described. A very handy plugin for those occasions where you need to get down and dirty with some user metadata. Thanks Jason!
