I keep your plugin because I can’t find a way to uninstall it without problem.
Then have problem again with Rank Math who write me:
“We can see one plugin installed that changes the default roles and capabilities of the website and that is likely causing the issue when our plugin tries to generate the author sitemap for a particular user role.
If you have a staging website please try to remove the plugin “User Role Editor”, reset the WordPress capabilities and roles to default, and test the issue once again.”
I do that but now your plugin delete the table wp_capabilities and I don’t know if it delete other important tables, but have big problem.
How can I resolve it?
Hi,
Just making you aware off this issue after upgrading to WP 6.7
Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the
user-role-editor
domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the
init
action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 6.7.0.)
Thanks
Feature Request: Please make a setting that will create a default to “allow” or “disallow” any new capabilities that show up in a user’s capabilities list resulting from installing new plugins after the user role’s settings were previously set.
Currently, if a new plugin is freshly installed that has new capabilities, they are all automatically in “disallow” state. But, for users of which installing/editing plugins is allowed, they need capabilities for those plugins without having to give them the capability to edit their own user role settings.
Please consider. Contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
WordPress default behavior when enabling new comment notifications is to send a notification to the admin and to the author of the post, but only if the author is an ‘Author’ role, not Contributor.
I am wondering if there is a permission I can modify for Contributor to enable them to receive new comment notification emails on posts they’ve authored?

I can’t seem to find an option to explicitly deny a capability. There’s only a checkbox for granting. That’s not enough in most cases though. Am I missing something?

Hi, having issues with adding capabilities to a role in WooCommerce. WooCommerce is stating that all I need is the manage_woocommerce capability to allow a role to add an order in the Admin area. Yet, when I add this in this plugin, I am getting met with a permission denied error.
Is this an issue with the plugin that the role is not being provided the capability?

Hi there,
I am a Gravity Form user unsure if this plugin is what I need. I will be using Gravity Forms Limit Submissions to set up separate Limit Submission feeds for paid and free users. In these feeds I will set the submission limit (credit limit) and set the Time Period to “Per month”.
Under Rules, I will have it be based on Each user. My question is, where and how can I determine whether the user is a free or paid user? Should I create a new user role with your plugin and then select the role in Gravity Forms Registration add on?
I do have user registration add on and gravity wiz perks.
What is the best way to achieve this? Should I be creating new roles in WordPress?

Hello,
Is it possible with the free or premium version to restrict access to WooCommerce product categories? I am looking to build a product category only for specific clients so other people cannot see that categorie because the products in that category will be priced lower.

How can I allow a shop manager user to assign roles to regular costumers?
In short, I want this menu in the shop manager role:
Hello!
I assigned additional default roles for a new user in the plugin settings. They don’t apply, each new registered user is still with one role.
I’ve tested using the default WordPress registration form and Ultimate Member form.

May I know the pro version of this plugin can restrict the user from update the Inventory for the Product. Where the user can edit all the changes for products except for the inventory part.

I want specific types of users to be able to add Media (trip flyer pdf’s, or images). After this addition I want them to be able to see the URL of the uploaded Media so it can be use in Constant Contact emailings or in Posts Submitted to the website. Ideally, I want the Add Media button to be available to Users and not just to the Editor (Admin) role people. The Role Editor choices for activating using Add Media are not clear to me. How do I use the Role Editor to do this?
Hello.
I’m trying to optimise the database in on of the WooCommerce site and was wondering what are the implications of setting autoload value to ‘no’ for ‘wp_user_roles’ option
Currently it’s around 50Kb and as far I can see this data is not needed on every page load.
SELECT option_name, autoload, SUM(LENGTH(option_value)) AS autoload_size FROM wp_options WHERE option_name='wp_user_roles';
|wp_user_roles | yes | 51404 |
Can you please advise?
Thanks

Hey, we have regular shop manager role and that role can see some previously made copies of “customer” role but now when I make new copy of customer, the shop manager cant edit the profile (only view link in admin) also the role dropdown in other roles does not have all the roles which have been created (and are below the shop manager level as they are copies of customer).
I hope you handle UFT-8 correctly since we have ??? letters in roles too (just a guess if that helps).
Hello to the UserRoleEditor team,
I hope you are well.
I’ve installed your extension on my wordpress, it’s working pretty well so far but I’ll explain my problem.
I want to create an access to my Dashboard so that the person has access to the WooCommerce tab where are “GLS Label”, “GLS Back”, “GLS Import” and “GLS Export”.
I understood that to give access to the dashboard, I had to check the Core > Read box.
I then unchecked everything EXCEPT “Manage WooCommerce”, which gives access to the GLS tabs. But the WooCommerc settings and the Payments tab are still active and I can’t manage to remove the access rights to this page…
Can you please help me?

We are facing some issues with a site that appears to be a general WooCommerce problem. Apparently you can not edit the Privacy Policy page if you are logged in as shop manager and I would like to ask if the plugin has a feature to edit the shop manager role and allow this role to edit this page.
Thanks!

Since the last update, it’s seems that there is a compatibility problem with Jet Form Builder. I created a custom role specific for my clients. I disabled on it all access to jet form builder. But now, even with the permissions disabled, they can have access to this plugin…
My company was thinking about taking a Pro Unlimited Lifetime licence, but if your plugin can’t garanty us a complete compatibility with crocoblock and elementor plugins, it will be a real problem for us. Is it a bug from your part? Is the pro licence assure us to resolve the problem?

Probably programatically.
After installing the plugin, plugin user menu entry seems to be missing. I can access it directly at https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=users-user-role-editor.php but not through the user menu entry which is nowhere to be seen. My administrator role has manage_options
capability and I have disabled all plugin and switched to a default theme. Can you advice on how I can troubleshoot further?
Hi
I’ve copied the role of the administrator and gave the name ?subadmin?. With adminimize I then hide menues, which they are not allowed to see.
But the new role cannot edit files which were created by the normal administrator role.
Do you have any solution for that?
Thanks for your help
