Can you please help with how to force the user select the google account each time they click on ‘Login with google’? Now it just remembers the latest one and autologin using it, until the cookies are removed

I started setting up social plugins but realised I won’t be able to make it work, so have deactivated the addon and want to just get back to where I was. However the login page (not the registration one) is now stuck with a redundant ‘login via social’ section at the bottom, which is a bit ugly and I fear may confuse people/make things look amateur.

Do you have any advice how to deal with it? I just want it to go away, but don’t want to have to delete and reinstall the whole plugin – I thought getting rid of the addon would be enough to get things back to how they were.

Worth saying I’m a big fan of your plugin, but would definitely welcome help cleaning this up ?? All advice welcome, thanks very much.

Hi. I activate my google social login but it doesn’t work on my register form but works when I use in the wp-admin page. My register have set a auto login and redirect.

I can’t seem to make the social login extension work with Facebook.

When attempting to login, Facebook does popup with the profile name and saying “It will get your emails information” like what should be happening, but after you accept, it then redirects again to ruamsale website but with the “Oops! That page can’t be found.” error.

I’m using UsersWP, as well as the Social LogIn Features.
I’m recently experiencing some trouble with the Facebook Login, what happens is the following:

1. There sometimes is an error message occuring, it says: Couldn’t fetch the email address of a user. Please try again or use alternate login method!

This happens on rare occasions and only sometimes, I could not figure out what triggers this error, because it not always happens when trying to log in.

2. When I’m able to log in via Facebook, I need to log in twice. When logging in for the first time, I get redirected to my homepage after successfully logging in to my Facebook – Account. However, I’m still logged out after the redirect, the only thing that changed is that there are “#_=_” next to my URL. E.g.: https://www.forhelps.org/#_=_

I have to click “Login” again on my website, to login with my Facebook credentials, after logging in for the second time, it works.

Thing I tried to resolve the issue:

1. Checked that my Facebook Account is set up properly
2. Enabled permissions
3. Checked for Valid Redirect – Uri: https://www.forhelps.org/uwphauth/facebook
4. Tried things such as removing the app from my Facebook Profile and do a complete new sign up via Facebook, also created Test – Users.

I hope someone knows a good way to solve the issues, thanks for any help!

Hi. I’m having some issues with the LinkedIn login/register for UsersWP.

The setup has been done on LinkedIn (validy Client ID/Secret + application verified).

This is the error:

Provider returned an error: unauthorized_scope_error Scope "r_liteprofile" is not authorized for your application

Is this an error with the Linkedin API or a configuration/setting?

I would like to change the Social Login Icon because for Twitter it’s showing small Font Awesome Icon and for Google, it’s showing a big image. It would be better if everything is of the same kind. Either all icons to be images or all to be Font Awesome icons.

I couldn’t find the documentation for configuring Google and Linkedin Social Logins. I can find only Facebook and Instagram documentation in your website.

I’m pretty sure I had this working before. Since I’ve upgraded to the latest version, after logging in with either Facebook or Google, I receive: Hybridauth config does not exist on the given path. after logging into Facebook or Google and being redirected back to my website.

I’m not at all a technical person so please excuse the possibly un-technical description.

I currently run into a ‘critical error’ when trying to execute social login for my websites users. This seems to be due to a misconfiguration in sessions paths between the WordPress plugin (UsersWP, using https://hybridauth.github.io/) and my server (self-managed on Upcloud).

A friend kindly offered to investigate the issue. Not sure how accurate this is but he seems to think that the sessions path within HybridAuth is defined incorrectly (hardcoded?) to /var/cpanel/php/sessions when it should be /var/lib/php/sessions:

You can replicate the critical error by going to https://300hours.com/login and clicking on either social login option (Google or Twitter).

Plugin works with other social : facebook instagram etc, but not with google accounts, the error shows is : invalid-client-in-google-oauth2.
I follwed the process of google authoriztion API etc, but it doesn’t seems to work.

I get an error when trying to login via Facebook (Hybridauth config does not exist on the given path.). Before I used this plugin and everything was working fine, I don’t know when it crashed because I don’t have many visitors registering via social.

I just tried installing your plugin, the idea of which I find wonderful.
However, I get bogged down in a quagmire of Facebook instructions once I add the site to Facebook Development, which is apparently a step I need to take. It is elaborate, includes coding, which seems to be per page, and for me it is hard to see what I should do and what I need not do.

Are there any comprehensive step by step instructions or installation guidelines to get this plugin working on a site for Facebook?
