This is exactly what I was looking for, however, it has a big security risk,, that needs to be fixed..
]]>Google reports failed indexing and a soft 404 for this page:
https://www.yoursite.com/?_vitor_action=update
Any suggestions? Maybe deal with that in robots.txt?
Thanks
]]>Hello, is that plugin still updated? That would be fine to be able to block IP class instead of just IP. For example 1.2.3.0/24.
We use the plugin to block for comments only, and don’t want to block the whole site (like with wordfence for example).
Thank you
]]>Hello,
thanks a lot for your nice Tool! I wish I could run it. I use also WPS Limit Login und WPS Hide Login. When I try to Log-In with Tor, the message displays, than you can’t log-in with Tor, but you can try it anyway three times, till WPS Limit Login is blocking the IP for 20min.
I checkt in WP-Backend: Block Tor users from registering, Block Tor users from logging in and Block Tor users from commenting.
Do you have an idea? hope you can help, would use it gladly.
]]>Can this plugin be used with Cloudflare or other CDN ?
I think there might be a way to get it to work. Maybe CF adds the original IP to another header.
]]>Hi, I’m testing the plugin on WordPress Multisite. I was getting a database error. I fixed it, but you may want to fix in the plugin.
wpdb->prefix
should be…
wpdb->base_prefix
to get the users and usermeta tables
]]>Fatal error: Arrays are not allowed in class constants in C:\…\plugins\vigilantor\vigilantor.php on line 60
I had v1.3.3 installed, upgrading to 1.3.5 today broke my site and gave this error.
Did we skip 1.3.4?
]]>Hello,
I have a site that’s getting constantly hits to the url “/?_vitor_action=update”. I know this is referenced in vigilantor.php.
What is this exactly? Even with this plugin disabled I’m still receiving hundreds of traffic hits to this url every day.
]]>Tried but it’s difficult to test but, how does this plug-in manage with caches (I’m using WP SuperCache).
e.g. if there is no cache file for a page and a blocked Tor user tries to fetch the page and gets a blocked returned, will the blocked page be in the cache for all other non-Tor users to get (i.e. they get the cached page).
Or does it take steps to make sure the “blocked” return to the Tor user is not pt in the cache?
I’ve tried testing but it’s very difficult to be sure you’ve created a valid test.
]]>Hi everyone,
As of a few minutes ago, exit list downloads have stopped working. My server which generated the exit lists burned down with the rest of my house and entire neighborhood and most of the city.
To get around this for now, change the exit list update frequency to 6 hours, and select “Enable real-time checking. Each IP address result is cached for 5 minutes”.
I’ll try to have a new URL added soon but right now things are crazy.
Thank you
]]>Just installed plug-in (for 1st time) and the download of the exit list os not working (and hence no Tor users are being blocked).
On attempting download error message displayed
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
Press “Update Now” repeats same.
Checked in WP database and there is no vitor_exit_list in the options table (most of the other vitor options are there, just no exit list).
Checking the download site openinternet.io/tor/tor-ip-list.txt and trying it in browser it just eventually times-out (although pinging the site and it responds)! Even just trying to browse to openinternet.io fails eventually). So it looks like the issue is the download site not working (outside the issue of the plug-in) – except are there alternative sites one can switch to now the openinternet.io seems to be not working (been trying for some time now).
Setting the plug-in to use “real-time checking” works (though obviously a performance impact.
]]>Blocking commenting through Tor was my main intent when installing this plugin. Unfortunately it doesn’t work. Could you fix it?
]]>First of all, I’d like to say thanks for this awesome plugin, it really helps.
Now my problem, I’m having the following issue: The plugins works just fine for all my site, except for /login.php
Is a special way to load the plugin for this kind of pages (or maybe no load at all)?
I have done all kind of tests, clearing cache, deactivate (and reinstall) all others plugins, even restarting services, hoping for a lead. If you need more insight, please let me know.
]]>I would like to suggest that you add the possibility to use this list: https://torstatus.blutmagie.de/ip_list_all.php/Tor_ip_list_ALL.csv in addition to the one already used (because it doesn’t block everything).
It would be nice to have the possibility to add manual values like:
.vpnbook.com
filterbypass.me
.linode.com
