Hello, I’m thrilled to have found this plugin to solve my problem of hiding LD courses until the prereqs are completed, exactly what I was looking for, so thanks!
However, I’ve spent the past 2 days adding this to my site, and the reason it’s taking so long is that the back end editor on the page where I’m adding this completely locks up and becomes unresponsive for minutes at a time with every single keystroke/edit, (including many, many “Page Unresponsive” popup messages). So I have to wait/go do something else until it unlocks. I’ve tested all other backend and frontend pages and there’s no locking up at all anywhere else, only on the page where I’m adding this plugin function. I’ve made no other changes to the site other than adding this plugin. (I should add that the page where I’m adding the visibility control CSS also contains LD course grids, if that means anything.)
Question: Is this a known issue? Is there something I’m doing/not doing that is causing this to happen? I really want to use this plugin, so I’m hoping there’s a solution. Thanks!
Hi,
I’d like to be able to manage which lessons are vissible to different roles in my course. I’d like to have only one course with the abbility to show/hide lessons depending on the student’s role.
What I have now is the lesson blocked, but I’d like to hide it completely.
Let me now if this is possible.
Carlos.
Situation: I share a lot of topics (and their content) across learndash courses. Sometimes I need to only change some minor text passages according to the course.
Problem: The plugin shows data on “enrollment status”. If a user is enrolled in many courses it will show those contents.
Searched solution: What I need is “show content depending on current course” like literally “onlyvisible_in_course_9671111“
P.S. For showing content depending on user role (i.e. group leader) I use “Stax Visibility”. But this does not support ld.
Hi,
We are using the LearnDash Visibility Control plugin to display buttons in the menu based on what course a user is enrolled in.
At the moment, we have two courses, so we have two buttons. However, both buttons are appearing while the header is loading.
Aside from optimising the website speed (we have done this), do you have any suggestions for how we can prevent this flicker?
Thanks!
The plugin caused my Elementor Nav menu widget to stop working on mobile devices.
This means, the hamburger menu is shown on mobile devices, but when clicked, the menu doesn’t open.
Also, the nav bar doesn’t work properly on Desktop – it doesn’t show submenu dropdowns.
When I disable the Visibility Control for LearnDash plugin, the menu works and opens as expected.
I am using Elementor Pro with Hello Theme.
Hi there,
Love what your product offers. I’ve followed the instructions to activate the plugin but I don’t have the “CSS Class” field when I’m looking at the menu structure. Is there something I need to do to activate that option?
I use a Woffice theme if that makes a difference.
Thanks
KC
Is it possible to show or hide something after a course is completed?
This is the most commonly used function for us. It gives us the ability to add notes, order buttons, etc after they complete our programs.
Great plugins btw!
Thank you.
Chris
Hi! I would like course and topics to be visible to non-enrolled, along with Vimeo video preview thumb. But just to make the actual play function unavailable based on either enrolled or group. Any way to do this? Thanks.
Hi the visible_to_group_XXX is not working, nothing shows up even if the user is on the correct group

Is it possible to show/hide the progress indicators depending on whether a user is logged in or not, or belongs to a certain group?

Hi there, is it possible to make an element visible to someone NOT in a certain course.
For example, I want to hide content on a page but want to show a message only to people not in a specific course saying: “You have to enrol in this course if you want to see the content”
Thanks in advance!
Stijn.
Hello,
I have different course categories for different courses. Is there a way to show an element to people who’s enrolled in courses with a specific category?
Thanks
Hi,
I think there is a bug in the plugin…
I have 4 courses, each lesson in the course might refer to a number of resouce pages which are relevant to the lesson
So, numerous courses need access to the same resource page.
To reproduce, I have course #1, #2, #3, #4
Pages W, X, Y and Z
All Courses can see Page W
Course #2 and Course #3 can see Page X
Course #2, Course #3 and Course #4 can see Page Y
Only Course #4 can see Page Z
Each page consists of 2 elements an inner section element with text to say “No Access” and the other one being an inner section element with all the Page Content inside
So, for Page Y, I have…
Element 1: “Sorry, you don’t have access” with class “hidden_for_course_2 hidden_for_course_3 hidden_for_course_4”
Element 2: The page content with the opposite class is “visible_for_course_2 visible_for_course_3 visible_for_course_4” (note: they won’t be enrolled in all 3, just one course)
When I test as a user under each course, Element 1 always works, whereas Element 2 is not showing any time
Is it possible to add a class based on showing and hiding an element based on a user role?
I would like to hide elements based on Group Leader, Subscriber, Admin or a custom role. Would this be possible?
Hi,
I’ve noticed that when I use the Plugin to only show a widget to a specific Group, Only the Group Users see the widget BUT the Group Leaders don’t.
Anyway to show the widget for the Group Leaders as well?
Thank you!
Hello,
It is possible to use this plugin to hide a lesson to a specific group?
The use case is to have a course that is available to two groups.
I want all lessons and topics to be seen by group 1 but some topics I want to be hidden from group 2.
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks,
Nelson
Hi,
Can I add multiple visibility classes for the menu.
Eg: the menu should be visible on when the user belongs to group-1 and group-2.. other group users should not see this menu..
Thanks
Hi,
I have a main course and an abridged version of a course with the majority of the same lessons and lesson materials.
One of the lessons is in both courses, however I want to hide the links to some of the lesson materials.
For example in the lesson materials section, I have
“This course includes the following learning materials…
Lessons:
– 19 easy-to-follow video lessons
– 4 Bonus Lessons!
Downloads:
– x
– y
– z
But in the abridged version there’s only 13 lessons and they can only download y
I’ve tried using a div statement around each one, like…

…full version

… Abridged version

but that didn’t work.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
but that
Hi,
How can I get the group id on the WordPress UI?. I don’t want to from the database.
Please advise
Hi team,
Can I ask where you place the code in an Elementor Widget?
I realize that if I’m just trying to hide text, I can add
The text here

But how do I control all of the content inside of a widget, such as a video. I’ve added a video element to the page and want to be able to only display the video for members of a certain LearnDash Group.
I’d love to be able to apply the visibility control to their elementor section (best case scenario) or to the entire widget area.
Please advise if this is possible and how.
I want to be able to add multiple css classes to an elementor widget because my customers can purchase multiple courses that overlap and so I need to be able to select more than one classes to hide an element.
basically if I have 2 customers one enrolled in course A and another in course B I need the element to be able to list both courses as a variable so it will show for both customers and not just based off 1 course/group
good pluggin
i would suggest to add an other condition “enrolled in group” cause if you got a group with 40 cours you’ll waste time ”enrolled in course123456789 etccc
