How to open a Visual Portfolio gallery lightbox by clicking any button?

I’m using (DIVI and) Simple Gallery, but i’d like to change this to Visual Portfolio gallery.
I used this function with Simple Gallery with the code below:

It seems that HTML Anchor not passing into. No id found inspecting hmtl in browser. I cannot provide link because my website is local.

After the WP 7 upgrade, I could not add images to a saved layout – not sure if this related to the upgrade:

“Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

Do you have to use Gutenberg for Visual Portfolio, Posts & Image Gallery to work properly? I really like the plug in but I just noticed I am getting this error when I try to update the galleries that I have been using for over a year. “Your site doesn’t include support for the “visual-portfolio/block” block. You can leave this block intact or remove it entirely.” Here are my server stats.

Hi – i’m trying to disable the image hover functionality, and/or the hover overlay effects (lightbox is turned off). Full width images otherwise have the slight tint, even with all the settings turned off, which is undesirable. Is there a way to disable hover in a masonry gallery alltogether?

Hi,

Facing a strange issue on the page where portfolio is added (home page). The website flickers and jumps the layout a little bit. It’s appearing only when user stay on first hero section and layout starts flickering every few seconds. I didn’t thought it was visual portfolio plugin but when I inspected more and removed the portfolio from the page, it stopped flickering. It only appears on the pages where the portfolio is displayed. and not the other pages. Any directions on how to resolve this?

What page should be set as the Archive Page?

When setting portfolio page as the Archive Page, nothing will be displayed except a empty Portfolio page, no matter which tag clicked.

on one of my websites, the Portfolio layouts are only loaded, when I am logged in.

For a non-loggged in user, the rotating (v) Logo will display and nothing else.

Is there a way to add a custom URL for a Portfolio Item. Someone suggested the PAGE LINKS TO plugin but I do not see a way to connect to Visual Portfolio. All this using the free version, not pro.

When pagination is enabled and you open images in the lightbox and start scrolling, it will only show the current page, not the images on pages 2,3,4 etc so it only loops the current page.

Visual Portfolio broken in a few ways after doing WordPress, Elementor & Theme updates. Unfortunately I didn’t catch this right away, so I’m not sure what is breaking the features.

I can see the portfolio home block like normal URL: https://landlogicsgroup.com/portfoli0/.

When I click on an item, I get either a reload, or a “Page not found.” The portfolio item URLs are odd, for example: https://landlogicsgroup.com/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/training-the-trainer-ugi-gnss-mobile-field-data-collection/

Additionally, I cannot edit any of these in Elementor any longer. I just get endless reload. I tried to create a new Test portfolio item and while I can successfully do that in the Gutenberg editor, trying to edit in Elementor results in an endless spinning loading wheel. When I publish the Gutenberg version, I get the same “Page not found” error.

Any ideas? I don’t even know where to start.

Am I correct in thinking that there are no customisable options to control the overlay elements? You can only turn on or off for instance, Category / Post Title / Excerpt but not rearrange their order?

If so it means the Category always comes before the Post Title, it is always displayed on top of the Post Title text. This can work in some cases, but in others it just gives less focus on the Post Title text.

Not being able to switch their order seems rather limited no, or am I missing something?

After updating to WordPress 6.6.1 and Visual Portfolio 3.3.9, images on portfolio are not showing on the homepage.

I have tried these so far and still no luck:

1. Disabled all the plugins
2. Disabled lazy loading on other plugins
3. Re-installed old versions of Visual Portfolio

I am currently using a theme, Shapely (1.2.15). This error is occurring only on the homepage of EN version (the site has a Japanese version as well). It’s working on another parts of the website. I’m not sure why it is not working on the page.

Love the plugin! But I have a question regarding Videos to be used as an item within a grid of images in the Visual Portfolio amongst the static images. Is that possible?

So to explain further, I want to have a masonry grid for example, showing images that are the ‘featured image’ of the post type it is pulling from. But some of these we want to be a looping video that plays for that post in the grid.

All items can be clicked as normal, taking the user to that relevant post. I can see we can use Videos as ‘popups’, but this is not what I am trying to do.

Hopefully that makes sense, but if not I can try to explain further!

Hi.

I’ve disabled Blog to remove all signs of it from my website – i do not want blog features at all.

However on my Portfolio page, built via Visual Portfolio, the blog section still appears on the right hand side.

Does anyone know how to remove it entirely? All other pages are fine (note: other pages are pages, whereas this is a Portfolio).

First off, I like your app but when I did an ADA check on my website, I found the following errors that involves your plug in. This screen shot is based on a page that filters portfolios to new clients and there are nione of them. The aria label in 1/9, 2/9. etc but that does not fall into ADA standards. I need to adjust the aria-label section but I can not find out where to change that. Can you help?

Is it possible to make the corners of the thumbnail images in a grid layout rounded ( instead of square)?

Hi whenever I am on mobile, I cannot save the image unless I enable the download button on Lightbox. This is not a good practice for people who just want to save their images on their mobiles by simply holding over the image and selecting save.

2. Is there a way to disable the preloading icon/animation whenever I refresh the galleries? This is only good for you guys but not for us.

I’m using visual portfolio plugin and my client asks me to do this:
1- Click on a filter (a portfolio category)
2- Click and open a project belonging to the results list of the previous step
3- Now click on the “back” button of the browser and the portfolio page should reappears with the filter selected in point 1 already checked and applied

If I understand correctly, this is not possible as the URL does not change depending on the filter and the selection is done via ajax.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

Hi, I’m using the Spectra One theme for my site and portfolio, but when displaying the content in the popup (instead of just the featured image) the Spectra blocks don’t work either if I use them in another theme. However, the content in the popup seems to work if I use the Twenty Twenty-Four theme and its default blocks.
