Hi, Im using Kale theme. Im setting up the index so it would appear as recipe, but when i press preview or publish, the page is empty.
It used to work at the beginning, but it collapsed once. I managed to reset it back then, but I dont remember what I did exactly. Maybe I have some plugins that dont support it. Thank you
All image thumbnails lost
Any help?
Thank you!

]]>Hello,
I just installed this plug in on my site and I love it! However, I’m having the same issue as many others in that my images aren’t showing up on the thumbnails. I know you’ve addressed this, but I’m really new to WordPress and don’t know a lot, and don’t really understand your brief explanation of how to figure out the problem. Could you explain it step by step, as if talking to a child? (haha, because that’s basically the level of understanding that I have ??
Thank you!

I created the page and published it but the category still won’t show up on my list in the Visual Recipe plugin.
Thanks.

]]>I may have accidentally deleted files that were needed by Visual Recipe Index, but it is no longer listed on my Dashboard.
I tried to install it, but it failed with this message:
Destination folder already exists. /home1/delishab/public_html/wp-content/plugins/visual-recipe-index/
Plugin install failed.
I tried copying and pasting an existing index, but that didn’t work either.
PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks,

Hi, is it possible to allow editors to access the settings page for this plugin?
Thanks!
]]>Dear Sir,
I have successfully have the Visual Recipe Index up and running. It is looking great except for two things that I seem to have a minor issue with.
1. The Visual Recipe Index cannot seem to pull two recipes from the same blogpost. Is there any way round this?
2. Can I create subcategories within the Recipe Index itself? For eg. I would like to have subcategories for savoury, sweet, meat, salads etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
]]>Without getting into tags vs categories debate…
I’m using tags to organize my recipes. Is there a way to quickly hack the code somewhere to have recipes be grouped by tags instead of categories?
Thank you for your work!
Cheers,
Alexander
Love this plugin!
I would like to change the font size of the text below the thumbnail image. I can easily change the size using Inspect element in Chrome, but I can’t find the CSS code in the plugin CSS or my theme’s CSS.
Does anyone know where or how to make font size changes?
]]>Hello,
Can the plugin display category description ?
I’ve tried to whrite the shortcode “showdescription=always” but it doesn’t work.
]]>Some of my images are not showing up? Please see link below:
]]>I am trying out the Visual Recipe Index and am using it with Easy Recipe Card. I have created a couple of recipes and added an image using set feature image. I then went to Visual Recipe Settings and set my thumbnail at 150 x 150 which is the same as the default thumbnail in my media settings. I generated code and the recipes are displaying. However, the thumbnail is chopped off on the left hand side. So at the top of the thumbnail, I have a rounded corner on the right and a square corner on the left. I tried to rectify this in CSS by removing the border and removing rounded corners and that looks ok but my title is off center because it is aligning it to the full size of the thumbnail including the chopped off bit on the left.
Hope this makes sense and if anyone can help me solve the problem, I would be grateful. I did find a post where someone else was having similar problem but chopped off at bottom but the resolution did not work for me.
Page is not live so can’t include link.
Thanks!
]]>I would like to display posts in two or more categories but only when they belong to all. I saw another topic on this that says to display it like so: riview id=8,10,11
But it is not exactly what I want to do.
If, for example, I have a “desserts” category and a “French recipes” category. I want to display all desserts that are French recipes. Is there a way to do this?
I have tried, example:
riview id=8+10
but this does not work.
]]>I am using visual recipie index for my Swedish website and we have three extra letters in our alpabeth (the alpabeth ends with ?, ?, ?).
Using the visual recipie index – all posts where I use our letters ?, ? or ? ends up in the beginning, when it should be at the end. Is there any way I can change this?
]]>I’ve used this plugin several times on client sites before and it’s been great, but for whatever reason, it won’t work properly with my blog.
I have it all set up correctly, but the thumbnails are all coming up as broken images. I can see from inspecting element that it’s trying to pull weird file names for the images.

]]>Is there any way to show the date of the posts in the index page?
]]>I have tried using Visual Recipe Index a few times now and cannot see the thumbnails. The placemarker is there, as is the alt text – but no picture, no matter the size I select. I did not have a cache folder under includes so I created one and set the permission to 755. I am also using W3 Total Cache with an Elegant Theme if that matters. I have not published the page yet as it does not work but my website is https://www.brandnewvegan.com. All of my recipes have a featured image as well.
]]>Hi,
I don’t seem to be able to generate a code once i’ve selected my categories.
Any assistance with this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Joanne
I’m testing the plugin out on the page linked to below. I’m getting bullets next to the thumbnails. I tried adding this code to my css:
.riview ul li {
list-style: none;
}
Having a problem. When I place the code on my webpage and view it, the picture is in the center of the page I am unable to move it to the left.
What can I do.. ?
Thanks
Michael

]]>Hello, I want to use this plugin for my blog about dogs. Each week I am going to feature a different dog. I haven’t written the posts yet, as my site is still in the development stage. Can I set this plugin up and get a test page going even though I don’t have actual posts ready yet. I’ve downloaded the plugin, and tested it, but it appears it will only work once you have posts. If this is so, then I would need to write a bunch of posts first, then use the plugin? Please advise. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Christina
