Heya!
Judging from the official plugin page (in case I’m wrong about plugin page I’ll just link it here: https://da.www.ads-software.com/plugins/was-this-helpful/) we are now on version 1.0.4.
We have the plugin live at dinero.dk and it’s working great – so no worries!
However, underdoing preparements for PHP7 I discovered the plugin was incompatable and figured “Hey, surely these guys have an upgrade for the plugin” and thats when I noticed I am running version 1.2.2
How is this even possible?
Did you create a new plugin and start over and I’m somehow left with the old one?
Is it a sign that I am using the pro version?
As a sub-question: Is the plugin PHP7 ready? Otherwise I might as well undergo the updates manually ??
Thanks in advance!
]]>Hi,
In the class Was_This_Helpful
I see this line inside the __construct
:
error_reporting( E_ERROR | E_PARSE );
What is the reason for hijacking the error_reporting? Could this not just be up to WP_DEBUG
?

Can anyone help troubleshoot this?
Also, I am interested in creating a query that pulls most helpful posts. Is it possible to do that with this plugin?
]]>Hello,
First of all – Great plugin, I love it!
I have 1 issue with it: When I am in admin panel > All posts when i try to sort posts by Helpful Yes? or Helpful No? from highest to lowest it doesn work properly. See screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/Dez5Adb.png
How to fix this?
]]>Hi, i’ve installed your plugin, did the translations in wpml string translation but it doesnt work.
Is there anything else i should change?
Thank you,
I have contacted the developer directly and I have been waiting for a month now for a response so I thought I’d post my unresolved issue here.
The Issue:
When using the [was-this-helpful] shortcode, it seems to break out of the column/row structure that my theme uses, by breaking the rows and/or columns, it makes the background row cover the whole page and it also makes none of the links on the page clickable, you can see a live demo of the problem on my testing site to better understand the issue here: https://tech.lukegackle.com/wth-breaking-salient/
It seems to be the shortcode itself that is actually breaking the site, the code it generates is perfectly fine and valid.
What I’ve tried:
I’ve done some research into plugin and short code errors and I’ve tried the following.
My Temporary Workaround:
As a workaround to this problem until a solution is found I have copied all the code that the shortcode generates and pasted it into a html block in my posts, its a very tedious process as you have to manually change the post id, title, and url in the HTML every time, both for the yes and no buttons but it works for now.
I enabled the plug-in but I cant seem to find where are setting and how to start using it?
