This is an Excellent plugin for portfolio and Resouce page. fulfilled our all requirement for that we had struggle 3 weeks.

We are waiting for updated version plugin for wordpress version above 4.7.5 Currently using 4.8.

And we need custom editing option for category tab color change.

This portfolio plugin is easy to install, easy to add items to, uses shortcode that is clear and works beautifully.

Only reason it did not get a 5 star rating.. the theming of the buttons is a bit of a challenge. A bit more flexibility or interface for button, button:hover and button:active would be the cherry on top. Some CSS appears to be inline.

Otherwise.. really enjoying the ease of this FREE plugin and would definitely recommend.

I needed a free plugin to handle a portfolio on a onepage website. I have to admit it was quite of a strangle looking for one that would fit my needs. After trying almost all of the free plugin available, I finally decided to go with Wave Portfolio.

It’s easy to use, it’s simple (it tackles the basic needs for a portfolio without fancy shapes and other useless feature that will just ruin the overall design of your website).

I gave it 4 star because the support forum doesn’t work much (I got an answer to a question after more than one month from the dev) and because I’m sure that there is still space for improvement.

In the future I hope to see a pagination option (to have portfolios split in more slides), a better looking light box and translation features.

Looked like a nice plugin for showing a small portfolio, but it broke my css on every page.

After deactivation of Waving portfolio I’m back with my old css, and looking for another portfolio-plugin.

It has a lot of bugs so I don’t recommend using it. Version 1.2.4 but more like 0.7. Developer shouldn’t launch before finishing and should at least make that clear: THIS IS IN DEVELOPMENT

The plugin is really simple to use. I set up a portfolio in a very short while. However I wish we could have better options rather than buttons to sort the categories. Also it would be better if the pictures in the grid could be done in a thumbnail. I tried setting both height and width but it only adjusts the width. So since my featured images are of different sizes my grid looks a bit funny.

I love this Portfolio Plugin. It is quite bare bones but you can customize it a lot with a little css.
There are some parts that I wish where a bit more customizable, but out of all similar plugins I tried this gave me by far the results that I am most happy with.

Why can’t you write decent documentation – Explain how it works rather than just leaving everything to guess work. This is annoying, the actual portfolio doesnt look that good – if you ever figure it out, and useless documentation. Harsh I know but this just wastes people’s time. P.S. 5 Star reviews of this make me wonder about the credibility of those writing them

So I had a page named “portfolio”. I installed that plugin and it’s gone. /portfolio/ page shows “oops! We can not find blablaba…” and after uninstallation of plugin it still redirects to main page, but the page is still shown in wordpress dashboard with same name and slug.

So I lurked a bit and found that your plugin’s rewrite rules are still active in wp_options table under rewrite_rules option. Looks like uninstaller wasn’t able to manage removing of those rules.

It’s sad and bad, since there is no way to edit those rules initially in wordpress. So i had to search for “rewrite rules”, look for suitable plugin (as I’m a bit unsure about hand-editing that long string of data). I did found a way to flush rewrite rules, but shouldn’t plugin do that on uninstalling?

So I downloaded your latest version again, directly to my PC, fired up text-editor, opened uninstall.php and found what? Yeah, sure // @TODO: Define uninstall functionality here… Okay, that’s rude. C’mon you already hit 1.1.5 version. Sixteen releases and still no uninstall?

Great solution, a well thought out plugin, is not invasive, easy to understand, . . . therefore customize. Support great, Aelbuni is very interested in doing things right, and gets very involve when things don’t go right and receiving suggestions. Really love this little plugin! Using it for a clients portfolio and also to introduce team members. Any queries were answered and speedily and couple of glitches fixed immediately.
