thank you so much for your plugin. I’m currently replacing a defunct tab plugin and yours is perfect.

Almost… the old plugin once (it’s now broken) was able to assign tabs by attribute.

Is that somehow possible? Or is there a recommended workaround (such as tagging the products accordingly)?

Hello I have been using your custom tab plugin for a while, it works perfectly. One of the tabs I use for adding a table with item types, so all the item names are slightly different than the main item name, variants of it.

I use woocommerce as an catalog basically. To make it easier and faster to search “the products” I use Advanced Woo search plugin. This plugin will search within the title of the page, but also the content. I believe it doesnt see the content of Custom Tabs though as I dont get results on the variant names within the table on one of the custom tabs. For example if main item is “F1500” and the table would mention “F1501”, “F1502”, “F1503” etc. When I search for F1503 in the search bar of Advanced Woo Search it doesnt give any results. So my question is, is there a way to add your Custom Tabs Content as content seen by the search plugin?

I have added a global tab, it is showing in the edit product page so the assignment seems to be working but it wont show on the frontend. Do you have any suggestions?

I′m thinking bout using your plugin for the future.

At the moment I have a design struggle. Your plugin does not use the usual design for tabs in my shop. You can see that in the product:

I created a Test-Tab.

Within my shop all tabs use:

.woocommerce-tabs .entry-content

+

body .woocommerce-tabs .entry-content h2

But you plugin uses only:

.woocommerce-tabs .entry-content

and then the additional stuff seems to be integrated somehow per CSS or whatever.

I was able to adjust padding-top + a border top….but ′m missing the “h2 content”.

How can I adjust your plugin to my shop design?

Hi! I observe such an error. The global tab is assigned to one subcategory, but in fact it applies to all subcategories. For example: there is a category of SNEAKERS. It has subcategories NIKE, PUMA, ADIDAS. I am creating a global tab for PUMA only, but it will be displayed in all three subcategories: NIKE, PUMA and ADIDAS.

I have advanced custom fields, I generated shortcode for it, everything works, but is there possibility that I can by default have this field hooked onto second tab place without manually picking field for every single product?

I have field “NAMER” for example.
It is predefined field, and it is showing ACF meta_key value.
But, the problem is I still have to add it manually in single product.

First field would be description, second field would automatically be hooked by this ACF shortcode, then if I add new fields they will go from 3rd place and up.

Possible?

I am using your plugin in a WooCommerce site that has two languages. I have added the second language with WPML.

It was easy to add the tabs and the content to them. I see the tabs and the content in them in the front end when using Finnish language (main language of the site). With the English language I only see the tabs and the tab titles but not the content I have created for the tabs.

Can you help me fix this? What information do you need?

I have 2 saved global tabs under Product>tabs. When I go to my product, under custom tabs, there is no “Add a Saved Tab” option to add the global tabs. I saw this option in the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_AsfGV-wEI at 1:55 timestamp. How can I add the global tabs to my product? Thanks!

I’m having a lot of troubles with your plugin. When adding data in the text field in the custom tab pop-up box I click done, it saves but then if I go back in to try to adjust something the box is blank, like the data totally disappeared. Also sometimes if I toggle between text and visual some of the data gets lost.

Before that I was having some formatting issues but I seemed to figure out a good work around for that.

Hello, I just downloaded your plugin and have some concerns about the global tabs. We sell automotive parts and use a Fitment tab. Nearly all products will use this but each product will have different information in this tab. Products with variations may have fitment information too.

1. Global tab with content editable at the product level
2. Tabs for product variations
3. Do not display global tabs if empty
4. Option to have a global tab appear on every product instead of selecting every category

I installed the plugin and created ONE tab, I selected ALL categories as I want it to be shown with every product. It doesnt show up anywhere on the frontend. In the backend when going to check any product it does appreat under Custom Tabs as a global tab.

Anyone who can help ?

Now I want to understand how I can insert the content of a tab anywhere on the page. Which widget or shortcode should I use, please tell me.

I just installed the plugin. I setup a global tab — assigned it to a category.

Then, when I go to Products area.. and filter products via category… the product count for the selected category increased by 1 (incorrect).

The Product Description is blank and Word Count shows 0. In the custom tabs area… I see a following error message “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

The website still shows the existing product description, even though in the backend shows blank. This error only happens with global tab feature.

Hi tabs were working correctly and now are not.

link is to a product that is SEED POTATOES, but is showing the tabs for POTATOES TO EAT. I have checked setting and all is correct. The tabs show up on all products, not just the products with the category.

This was working recently, no new plugins or anything different

Hi,

Just noticed the tabs dont contain the specific information for that tab like it did previously. It now just lists all the information from all tabs and when you click the tab header it’s like a hyperlink to that information. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any advice is appreciated.

The plugin inserts a title by default, the text of which is the same as the tab name. Please remove the automatic insertion of the title.

When I create a list, it creates a code like this.

I have a problem where the left menu under products is gone. It’s the menu where you have: General, Inventory, Shipping, Linked Products, etc. And Custom Tabs should have been at the bottom of this menu after activation.
But I don’t have this menu and don’t know how to get it back.

When used with Bookable products the global tab feature totally foobars the product. All text disappears from the short and long descriptions of the product. Bookable resources are deleted and it throws a fatal error even though the site will still function … the affected product(s) won’t.

The conflict is between the global tabs and the “resources” feature of bookable products.

Hello. I’m trying to create several tabs using this plugin, and I’m trying to apply them to specific product categories. However, it seems that the tabs ignore the selected categories, and instead apply to all goods at once.
For example, if I create a custom tab called “Item care” and only check the “Bags” category in the tab settings, all products on my website will have the “Item care” tab visible under them. I need it to only be visible under the “Bags” category.
This seems to be a similar issue to this thread: “Product Cagetory Not working”.
Please let me know about a solution to this problem.

Translation to other languages is not supported because the plugin code does not add textdomain for the fields that need to be translated.

I have a suggestion.

A tab that is only available when the item is out of stock.

We have people asking us if things will be back in stock, but this information clutters the tabs if it is there all the time.
So a tab that appeared when the items is out of stock would be great.
