I have recently updated my WordPress version, PHP, and WCK plugin:

• WP version: upgraded from 4.9 to 6.1
• PHP: upgraded from 5.6 to 7.2
• WCK plugin: upgraded from 1.3.1 to 2.2.4

After the updates, when I try to add a new entry, the existing entries disappear. Please refer to the video link below for a better understanding of the issue.

Hi There, I was just wondering if custom post types that i created a while ago (and their functionality: creating/deleting/editing posts of the already created type) are dependent on WCK being installed or not.

I have added the custom field upload for my custom post type and repeat is true . When I edit the post type, I was able to see thumbnail of my uploaded image. However recently it isn’t showing/rendering image. It displays actual html image tag. I am not sure when it started happening. I think may be after wordpress update.

Been using WCK for years and its a great plugin it helped alot on my website exactlly what we needed. We just decide to give our site a redesign
But I just noticed that on the custom post page where I edit the custom fields I cant seem to update the fields its been years since I haven’t updated the content but I always made sure that the plugins are always up to date

When I try to update the fields like for example the checkboxes it appears eveything is good but as soon as i view the front end of the post nothing has changed so I also tried updating the fields and tried refreshing the post page and the weird thing is all the checkboxes are again checked like nothing was updated.

I have these options in a checkbox custom field:
Berde,Korá,Blou
The one with the accent is shown on the front end as Kor??,
where the ? are in a grey diamond. According to Wikipedia: The replacement character ? (often displayed as a black rhombus with a white question mark) is a symbol found in the Unicode standard at code point U+FFFD in the Specials table. It is used to indicate problems when a system is unable to render a stream of data to correct symbols.

All the other UTF-8 characters in the page work, like èkstra, Koló and many others. They seem not to work in the WCK custom field checbox selection options…

Anyone can shine some light on this? Have you experienced it, can you reproduce it, or do you have a solution? thx.

Hello, I need to translate the custom posts and taxonomies I created with WCK.

I am using the WP globus free plugin.

I selected the custom post type to be translatable in the WP globus options.

However something breaks. The language switcher does not appear in the custom post editor (while it does with custom taxonomies).

The plugin works correctly with standard posts and also with custom post types I create directly from my custom plugin.

Is anyone aware of this issue?

My custom field is unable to display certain HTML codes, such as <select>, <input type=”checkbox” id=”vehicle1″ name=”vehicle1″ value=”Bike”>, and JavaScript.

Hi I’m testing this plugin on a locally hosted site (details below) latest version of WP with the Kadence child theme installed.
I have completed the process of creating a custom post type and couple of associated taxonomies, a new page template for display and then moved on to creating the custom fields which all appeared to go well however the Meta Box/s are not showing up in admin when try to I create a new post. All display options are checked etc, The custom taxonomies are in the right column as they should be.
Do I need to add something to the functions file maybe?

I used the plugin to create a custom field of type: wysiwyg editor

The plugin worked fine for over 1 year but today it was brought to my attention that when the field is populated, and the admin saves the new post, the html tags are not saved.

On the frontend its rendered just a string and all the html tags are scraped.

Not sure if it’s the latest version but one of my customer’s now cannot edit any custom post types or create new ones.

They have AUTHOR rights.

As ADMIN I can edit or create any custom post types entries.

Is there a way to see who is the author or maybe use wp-cli to change a setting for this?

I tried to make a new post today for the first time in a while, and textarea’s line breaks didn’t work.

When I saved the post, textarea’s line breaks gone out.

It has worked fine at least in September when I’ve made a new post.

I have created several taxonomies to be used for products I list on my woocommerce store.
Recently, I’ve noticed that the products are not being allocated to their selected taxonomies.

Example:
Let’s say I create 50 products on woocommerce and select for all of them the taxonomy “brand” that I’ve created. When I click publish and go to Woocommerce > Products > brand the “count” shows 0 when actually there should be 50 products for this taxonomy.

Can somebody help me understanding why?

1. Is it possible to have commas in the option names for a select field without setting labels separately? We’ve tried using , but unfortunately, it won’t save the field value.
2. Do you have a field type (in the free or PRO version) that allows using a searchable select box (e.g. autocomplete or HTML dataset)? My client has a select box with 100+ options which is not great in terms of UX.

In a site I developed I use WCK for creating special post types and fields and WPML for translating the site from Dutch to Papiamentu and English.

I have a problem translating the options of a field type in a meta box. The field type is ‘Select’. See the red part in this screenshot:

I created a post type with custom fields and I created a form for users to add, update or delete fields but the fields do not update if users remove the data or empty the fields.

I used ajax call to use “delete_post_meta” or “update_post_meta” function but both failed to update the data.
