I don’t understand why the downvotes. In the newest version of WP now January 2018 the plugin still works after 4 years of nu updates. I entered my fonts.com API key, and the fonts load into the site directly. I think the other users just didn’t understand how to use this plugin. Anyways I’m here to tell you it does work with fonts.com

This plug in does nothing other than give you a link to either Google or Fonts.com. You have to do all the work from there.
You can get free fonts from Google, Adobe or Fonts.com without having to use this plug in and you don’t need to identify yourself with an API key either.

Uses its own control panel area (I prefer if plugins only do this if they are quite important).
Requires API key for Google fonts. This is not hard to do. It’s like… 3 steps.
Shows samples of all fonts, and you can search on the fonts, as well as sort alphabetically, or by popularity, etc.
This would be terrific, only I could not find how to get the selectors to work. In other words, for some reason, the data would not save to activate the selectors.
Also, I am not sure if it lets you see all the different font variants, which would be helpful.

This plugin DOES NOT WORK right from the gate. There is no support. There is a post on support that has been UNANSWERED for 8 months. This is clearly a way for them to get you to subscribe to their subscription service—a dis-service to WP users. Why do I have to give one star?

The connection to the fonts.com server is unreliable with this plugin. So chances are, your site will have potential for some serious lag.

Doesn’t seem that the author is supporting this plugin any longer. I’d be delighted to change the rating if there is some response in the forum.

I was very excited to discover this plugin, because I’m working on a small WordPress site for a friend and have been asked to use a single web font from fonts.com for all of the text.
However, after several days trying various approaches, I’ve given up on this plugin, because it just doesn’t work.
It’s much easier to simply use the fonts.com user interface and just paste a single line of JavaScript code into the header.php template of the child theme.
A pity, because this plugin would have saved me a lot of time if it had worked!
