I enjoy the plugin a lot, very useful! However encountered a bug with attachments.

Here are the details:

Plugin: WP Project Manager by weDevs
Version: 2.6.15
WordPress Version: 6.7
PHP Version: 8.3

Description:
A comment with an attachment (PDF or ZIP file) – clicking on the attachment link results in a permission error. The link generated for the attachment points to the WP REST API, which leads to a “You have no permission” error message.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a new comment in a project with an attachment (PDF or ZIP file).
2. After submitting the comment, click on the attached file link.
3. Observe that the link redirects to a URL structured like:javascripthttps://bla.blah/index.php/wp-json/pm/v2/projects/13/files/163/users/3/download
4. The result is a page displaying:javascript{"code":"errors","message":["You have no permission."],"data":null}
5. Editing the comment and while in edit mode clicking the attachment icon works correctly, providing a direct link to the file like https://blah.blah/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/something.pdf

Expected Behavior:
The attachment link should directly point to the uploaded file’s location (e.g.,?https://blah.blah/wp-content/uploads/...) instead of generating a link that leads to a permission error.

Actual Behavior:
The generated link leads to a REST API endpoint, causing a permission error when users try to download the file.

Additional Notes:

• This issue appears to be a bug within the attachment handling of comments.
• The direct link to the file works correctly when accessed through the edit comment functionality.

I’m Dionisio, developer of GamiPress and AutomatorWP.

We have recently detected a conflict between WP Project Manager and AutomatorWP.

When activating the WP Project Manager plugin, the Anonymous Automations feature of AutomatorWP stops working correctly. It leaves the triggers section empty where the available integrations should appear.

The error shown is related to the CMB2 library that AutomatorWP uses and which is being affected by some feature of WP Project Manager.

La aplicación presenta fallas en general, cuando creo las sub tareas, se asignan automáticamente a todos los integrantes del proyecto, en lugar de asignarse solo a los seleccionados en la sub tarea, al momento de hacer comentarios siempre aparece como la primer publicación hecha, no se actualizan y los informes no dan resultado y en la barra de navegacion, el nombre de la seccion informes aparece como ”Informes kdnfkjds”

The project page does not work properly with Buddyboss:

1. The task list is working properly at the backend (Screenshot), but not at the project page with BuddyBoss (Screenshot)
2. A similar problem is with the categories (Screenshot)

I am currently working on integrating Persian date (Shamsi) functionality into the WP Project Manager plugin using plugins like wp-parsidate. However, I am facing some issues where the Persian date conversion is not functioning correctly in the calendar section and the calendar filter. Here are the specific problems I am encountering:

Calendar Section: Despite using wp-parsidate, the dates are not being displayed in the Persian calendar format. Instead, they remain in the Gregorian calendar, which is causing confusion for users who rely on the Persian calendar system.
Calendar Filter: When attempting to filter tasks by date in the calendar, the filter does not work properly with dates. This makes it difficult to manage and view tasks based on specific dates.
I have tried several configurations on different hosts, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced problems with the filter in the WP Project Manager plugin or found a solution for these issues? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I’ve installed a plugin which works great. However, I’ve encountered an issue where when we move a task from ‘In Progress’ to ‘Done’ on the Kanban board (set as ‘Done’ in board settings), it doesn’t show up in the completed tasks reports. Any solutions for this?

What is the newest version of PHP that WPPM works with now?
Have you worked out the PHP bugs and activation errors I have read about here?

Hope all is well. I am just getting started with the tool and is setting up “template” projects which will be used by team members when creating fx new clients. One of the important UI bits that we are using are the Labels which we are using as a visual and textual quick status.

Expectations are that if a setting is NOT exkluded from the template system then it should be copied when a clone is made.

Following the most recent update, attempting to activate the plugin results in failure. It displays an error message indicating that activation is not possible due to a fatal error being triggered.

When I try to activate the plugin in a vanilla WordPress this error does not happen. The WordPress Bedrock that I am using in a Clean WordPress does not have any plugin or theme that interferes with its plugin, so I suspect that the error lies in the compatibility of its plugin with Ordpress Bedrock. I cordially request that you fix this error since any Vanilla WordPress plugin should be compatible with WordPress Bedrock.

This plugin triggers critical error on our website as soon as it is activated.

We need it Dutch Language. Translated a lot with Loco Translate but a lot we can not find to translate. For exmple inside a project the button “add task list”. Or the popup, or the mails. All is not translated. We can not edit it with plugin Loco what is a super translation plugin for plugins.

I reverted to version 2.6.0 that worked fine for me …

Once you add Task Types….. then what? They don’t do anything. They are not used anywhere. There is no option for them. Conversely when you make a list there is a pulldown that says Milestone. That’s all it says. These things appear to be basically broken, rendering tasks largely useless as they are just a glorified checklist.

Cosmetic but jarring. When you add a task type it shows twice. You reload and it’s only there once. If you try to delete the duplicate, you delete them both. Just glitchy.

Is it possible to use your plugin(pro version) to sell subscriptions to users?

I want to create tasks(for each project) and users will have to complete them. users will have access to the front end(thru a paid subscription) and won’t be able to add tasks(except addition comment). A user won’t be able to see other users doing the same task/project.

In the invoice settings, mentioning currency as INR still shows as BD Taka.

How to fix that?
