When I put my sites in maintenance mode I don’t need a plugin that does anything but return a 503 code to non-logged in visitors. This plugin does just that and nothing else. Perfect.

Brilliant little plugin that does exactly what is sais: it puts your site in maintenance mode and sends a “503 Service Unavailable” header, which tells search engines to come back later.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I prefer this plugin over other maintanance plugins as it doesn′t save any options to the database.

BTW: The previous two 1-star comments don′t make any sense. Look at the code, the plugin doesn′t do anything else than sending a 503 header.

Mesmo depois de desinstalar e deletar o plugin da pasta, ele continuou funcionando, ainda n?o descobri como remove-lo por completo! Esse plugin é horrível!

I got errors irregularly when trying to save pages or posts; not only after reopening Firefox in the morning, but also during the day, after longer breaks. This happened irregularly and was impossible to replicate, but very annoying. Luckily, I use the Lazarus Form Recovery plugin in Firefox, so I never lost anything. Still, I could have.

Simple and nice. Activating the plugin put the site in maintenance mode.
