I think this plugin is abandoned by its author.

This is so great. I was actually looking for a plugin that could clone/duplicate existing widgets, but this is so much better. Love the fact that I still only have one widget to change, when needed.
Great job!
Side note: It is a shame that the person that left the 1-star review didn’t delete it or changed to 5 star, when you fixed the problem.

Thanks for this, really useful!
One suggestion though:
– When an alternate title is NOT used and left empty, it would be nice to have the original title after “Widget Alias” as widget’s title because the way it is now it’s difficult to recognize which widget is being cloned.

I had been using an out of date plugin called Duplicate Widget but I like this one much better, especially how it adds the widget class. Great job.

Works great for me. The shortcode function is a really nice idea, but always seems to jump to the beginning of the page instead of appearing inline. Otherwise this would be a five-star plugin for sure.

Enabling this plugin causes all the widgets in the appearance -> widget area to disappear. To make sure this plugin was the cause I did a fresh install and only added this plugin. Then I disabled this plugin, and all the widgets came back.
