I would like to verify if Widget Context is compatible with PHP 8.2. ?If not, do you have a timeframe when the plugin will be tested and released with 8.2 compatibility?

I hope you would consider adding a CSS class field to have more control over the single widget.
Thanks.

When I enter for example subpage/page/ the widget is shown on that specific page. But when I enter subpage/page/* the widget is not shown on subpage/page.
But maybe this is normal behavior? So I need to enter now:
subpage/page/
subpage/page/*
It works but I was wondering if that’s ment to be

]]>We’ve recently been looking at doing more with the WordPress REST API, exposing site content in predictable ways to other applications. Is there a way to have the settings from Widget Context included in a REST API response, so that consuming applications can determine which widgets are visible on a given page?
I don’t currently see the values defined by this plugin in the responses to the sidebar, widgers, or pages endpoints; nor do I see in the source code any calls to register_meta or register_rest_field that would point me in a direction to see where the content might be enountered.
Is this possible using the plugin currently, or could this feature be requested?
]]>I’m using the legacy widget to create navigation in the left sidebar area. To date, I have placed several widgets in this area, one for each issue of the magazine (this acts as a table of contents for each issue). On this page, there should only be 1 side navigation displayed. I can’t get rid of the one that shouldn’t be there (Fall 2021, the one that is on the top).
Any suggestions for what I can do so that only 1 navigation appears?
]]>Hi,
So I am moving my site to a new theme that I created in GeneratePress. The problem is that the dropdown for Widget Context that allows me to tweak a particular widget appears on my navigation menus, it will not appear for the archives or recent post widgets and, unfortunately, that is precisely where I need it to appear. Now it did do that under my old theme (inxhibit).
I have tried from both the customizer and from the appearance->widgets interfaces. I have tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I have tried shutting down other plugins. No luck.
Any ideas?
]]>Hi
I have installed the widget context to enable widget just for some specific pages
I am using “The7” theme and it does not work.
it needs your help.
Sincerely
Majid Asadpoor
I just installed your plugin.
And I am trying to make a Navigation TOC widget active for only one blog post.
When I change the setting to “Show widget on selected” the publish button will not become active for me to publish a targeted URL.
It did the very first time and I clicked Publish but it did not make a difference. The widget continued to show up for all pages. When I went back to try and fix the URL I can’t make the publish button active to change this setting to save my life.
The publish button becomes active for other changes like changing the TOC to another menu.
Hello:
I use the plugin on my site but when I use it on one of my pages that I created in a template there it doesn’t work for me, what do you recommend?
I need to block a specific widget on one specific page. Can this plugin accomplish this and if so, how? I’ve had no luck whatsoever trying to use the “Exclude by URL” functionality.

]]>Hi,
I have been using your plugin for a year or so and it worked like a charm until today.
I have several widgets shown on certain pages on the basis of the Show Widget on Selected logic by declaring their URLs.
Now I am trying to add a widget with a menu on a certain page.
I add a Navigation Menu widget, choose the menu, select Show Widget on Selected with Target on URL and specify the page URL slug like I have been doing so far and many times.
However, the widget does not appear on that page.
I am using WP 5.8.2 and have restored the classic widgets through the plugin made by the WP developers.
I have a total number of 44 widgets so I wonder: does the plugin have a max. number of widgets supported?
I can not supply the page URL because it is published in a private area of the website.
Thank you
]]>Hello Widget Context Support,
I’ve created a widget that shows a header image from a series on each page view. Now I want to show a specific image on the home page, so I don’t want that random image widget to appear on the home page.
I’m trying to use Widget Context plugin to “hide widget on selected” but what do I put for the selected URL? “/” doesn’t work, the full URL of the home page doesn’t work — https://wciv.eliza.tech in this case — fails with OR without the trailing slash.
Note, the page I want to target, is designated as the “front page” in WordPress.
What to do?
I know Widget Context is working to “hide widget on selected” if I set a different URL that has a permalink, such as “product-category/classes.”
Widget Context has worked well for me on a few other websites, but I have not needed to select the website’s home page specifically before. Please help!

Since two days I notice that my photos in the right columns are no longer visible. When I check the Widgets plugin, everything is just fine. Even when I disable Classic Widgets it makes no difference.
Does anyone have this problem and a solution?
]]>Hi,
note concerning the plugin.
When i choose “show widget on selected” i can’t make a selection
I do that in “view” before I could make a choice directly but nothing happens
I need a different widget to appear for each product page (Woocommerce) without deleting the rest of the content.
If I join Widget Context Pro do I have this functionality?
After troubleshooting and narrowing down the plugins, I finally found out that the Widget Context is affecting how the credit card is functioning in the checkout page. Everytime someone try to fill out the credit card info, when they input the last info in the form, the credit card form clear and they had to start over again to input their credit card info.
How do I fix it?
]]>I trying to show widget on search results page with URL mydomain.com/?sfid=678&_sfm_country_parachute=Italy.
If I put sfid=678*
in “Target by URL” field, widget appears in sidebar, but also under each search results item.
I’ve tried different patterns, even absolute URL, but the result is the same.
Items are custom post types, search is performed by Search & Filter Pro plugin.

]]>I see that a wildcard can be used to include (or exclude) all child posts in a URL structure (like, domain.com/services/*).
But, can Widget Context be used to target specific slug fragments (or specific keyword fragments)?
Set-up: I have a tool that creates hundreds of pages and spins the page titles to vary things up a bit. But, I don’t want to target *all* child pages created – just certain ones.
Example: I would like to target just the pages with the slug fragment “air-conditioning” (or just “air” or just “conditioning”) in the URL – and no others pages.
Example URLs:
domain/services/top-rated-air-conditioning-replacement-service/
domain/services/best-air-conditioning-installation-contractor/
domain/services/air-conditioning-maintenance-company/
domain/services/affordable-furnace-replacement-service-available/
domain/services/thermostat-replacement-contractor/
domain/services/quality-duct-cleaning-service/
Goal: I would like to target just the “air conditioning” pages and be able to display a coupon for, say, “20% OFF on A/C Work”. I don’t want this coupon on the furnace or thermostat pages. And, I don’t want to look-up numerous individual page IDs for the air conditioning pages and manually enter a long array for the logic in Widget Context.
“Coupon display” set-up aside, is Widget Context able to target slug fragments in the URLs?
Thanks & Best

I have 2 widgets that are configured to show in the left sidebar on
The widgets show on my blog page, my date archives, my category archives, and my tag archives. They do not show on any posts, nor on my search results page.
I’m using this plugin on a subdirectory multisite, running WP 5.6.2. My PHP version is 7.4. I’m currently using 1.2.0 of the plugin. I upgraded to 1.3.2, but then the widgets didn’t show on any archive pages, so I reverted to 1.2.0. On my dev site, reverting to 1.2.0 got the widgets back on posts, but, sadly, that didn’t work on my live site.
Any thoughts about how I can get the widgets to show on all posts would be most appreciated.
