“Background: Due to a now-fixed ambiguity in the documentation for the add_query_arg() and remove_query_arg() functions, many plugins were using them incorrectly, allowing for potential XSS attack vectors in their code.”

Somehow, I’ve lost all my widgets from a long running site. Not sure how it happened, I was upgrading a theme to eliminate all warnings shown with WP_DEBUG (and this actually caused the reset of several theme options). But the widgets screen only shows now some WP standard widgets. What is more awkard is that after reverting part of the upgrade, the site shows the right widgets, but if I enter the widget screen I just see the same standard widgets. (And I think I also updated widget-saver recently). So there is no correspondence between what is shown in the site and what appears in the widgets control panel. Since I have a number of backups of the database, I was thinking about trying to restore the settings from there.
Thanks

Is this plugin compatible with WP 3.4.1 ? I don’t want to risk messing my database after I Restore the Widgets following a Theme Change.

The other plugin that seems to be involved is Fluency Admin, although there is a new version for 3.1, and I’ll report when I upgrade.
