The plug-in stopped deleting the original images from the server
]]>Hi,
I’ve downloaded the plugin and unable to save the changes once the images are optimised having clicked ‘Regenerate rectroactive’
Anyone else had this issue and know of a solution?
Thanks,
Monica
No need this plugin at current revision – it’s a full bullshit!
All my images was moved into one folder! (IBANUTSYA!) All images which was uploaded during some years… 100k+… And now no possibility to restore previous version without manual db changes.
I am using the recent version of WordPress and this plugin. I installed it a few days before.
I have used the correct API key and have done proper settings.
I have also used bulk image optimiser setting which shows that it successfully optimized all old uploaded images. I am not sure if it really optimized it or not as it doesn’t show any change comparison like WP Smush.
Anyways, here is my real issue:
When I upload any new image via media or post editor, the uploaded image has the same size as it was before on the local desktop. There is no “Statistics about the compression results” as shown here: https://github.com/win-site/winsite-image-optimizer/raw/master/assets/screenshot-2.jpg
What’s going wrong here? If there is no change in file size, will it display anything? Please help with this.
Ome more thing-
If I continue to find that this is not helping me with image optimization and I deactivate and delete it, will it have any adverse effect on my images. Do remember that I had run “bulk optimization” option with ” do not save original image” enabled. Does this plugin rename the image or add “pre-fix in the image filename?
I see that the plugin was updated six days before hence I feel that the developer is active with this. So, please help me with these two issues.
Thank you
]]>Little confused. I ran the WinSite Image Optimizer WordPress plugin to optimize a site’s Media Library retroactively.
It appears to have only worked on 67 files. Yet there are 1,184 files in the uploads directory alone.
Running ImageOptim for Mac on my local machine resulted in 454 images being optimized.
Any insight?
Hello,
Firstly thanks for the help previously! I’m using this plugin on multiple sites and its great so far!
But, at present the optimised images have a different filename than the original. Can they not just have the existing filename? (It was the case that in one site I had to relink every image as it had renamed all the files). It’s a potential issue now as the site I’m working on has files liked via the css code which I may not have access to.
Thanks
Declan
I have a couple site on the latest compatible version, and the plugin works great. Unfortunately, I do have three sites already updated to 4.6.1 and it does not work.
Is there a timeline for adding support for the latest version of WordPress?
]]>Hi, this may sound dumb but I’m totally confused as to how to use this plugin!
I’ve downloaded and activated it. Created an api (added my username to it). Whats next, does the plugin automatically optimise new images that i upload? Is there a way for it to optimise existing images?
The documentation read as mush to me! (Not very clued up on coding!)
Thanks!
