Hi, i have two questions.
theme is overridden and looses all formatting when plugin is enabled.
]]>I have a client site that I’m working on and we’ve downloaded the Wired Impact plugin. It’s working great so far! But while testing, we realized that if someone signs up for a volunteering opportunity, then is REMOVED (e.g., they can’t make it, etc), they still get reminder emails about their upcoming event. Is there a way to turn this off / stop these reminders without modifying the plugin code?
Thank you!

Hi there,
Is it possible for the volunteers to update/change or delete their own sign up?
Thanks!
]]>Is it possible to create different ‘jobs’ within a specific event?
For example, the event might be a Pancake Breakfast with the following positions that need to be filled and the number of volunteers needed:
Setup – 4
Cook – 4
Serve – 6
Clean Up – 8
Is this possible under one volunteer event?
Thanks
When clicked, “More Opportunities” at the bottom of the page just reloads the same page instead of showing the rest of the opportunities.
]]>Hi,
I have to edit the form fields, like the names, adding a checkbox,… How could I edit it? Have changed the file and it all works on frontend, but it’s not saving in the database and in the backend.
Hello! I’m aware that this plugin has not been tested for WordPress 6.2, which probably explains the issues, but we currently can’t add start/end times to one time opportunities. Looking through the other topics on this forum, it seems as though a calendar is supposed to pop up(?) to choose dates and such, but nothing pops up when we click the box, and we’ve tried manually inputting dates in different formats (ie month-day-hr-min-sec, etc) as well with no success. We simply end up getting a blank time for an event, which then gets filtered as a past event. Would it be possible for you to tell us how the timestamps should be formatted/written in the date boxes to workaround this issue or is there another solution?
Also, is there a way to display opportunities in a calendar that is from another plugin?
Thank you for your time
]]>Hi,
While creating a new volunteer opportunity, when I click on the Start Date & Time option, the calendar appears after selecting the specific date and time. The calendar is no longer hidden, and the same for the End Date & Time option.
thanks in advance,
Madhan
Hi,
I am using DIVI (Elegant Themes) and would like to use this plugin to display several opportunities to attracts helpers for a triathlon. I can create opportunities, but I can’t find the code to display them on my website.
Where are the codes?
thanks in advance,
Petra
]]>How do i display a message after a volunteer signs up saying “Thank you for signing up”?
Thanks
]]>Hi there,
I’m trying to insert form data from custom fields (specifically a date of birth field and a checkbox) that I added to the template file ‘opp-single-form.php’, and I would like to save the submitted data to the database table ‘fsvvolunteer_rsvps’, and then fetch the data to be used as one of the email template variables. I’m wondering how to properly catch and store the data.
Thanks in advance!

]]>When someone signs up to volunteer they are being unsubscribed from Mailchimp.
In the Users profile, the “Mailchimp subscribe” checkbox is being unchecked and then when it syncs with Mailchimp they are being unsubscribed from our list.
Only consistent thing I see between all users that this has happened to is it coincides with when they have signed up for a volunteer opportunity.
How can I prevent this from happening?
Thanks!

how to add signup module in volunteer plugin
]]>I cannot seem to get the “Volunteer Mgmt” section to show up for other users unless they’re granted full site admin. I’ve given the role the ability to do anything with posts (full) but it still will not show up. What capabilities do I have to assign the role for them to get the ability to manage everything in “Volunteer Mgmt” and see it in the wp-admin panel?
]]>To be clear as suggested in this post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/duplicating-opportunities/, the Yoast post duplication plugin DOES NOT work for the volunteer opportunities custom post type. I will have to resort to duplicating the ones I need duplicating the post record in the database.
Are there any plans to either add shift capabilities or the ability to duplicate opportunities so that one can create multiple shift opportunities for one event?
]]>I get “Error 406” everytime I try to save the settings.
Error 406 – Not Acceptable
Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.
I see others have reported the same issue I saw reported in these posts:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/406-error-mod-security/
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-406-when-trying-to-save-settings/
As reported before, when the error occurs there is NOTHING in the error logs to indicate what the issue is. My host (InMotion) could not solve the problem, so they cannot tell me what exactly is triggering the failure with this plugin. Since it is not recommended that I turn off Mod Security, the problem is not resolved. However, I found a workaround for those who are in need of this plugin. (since the options for a similar plugin is zero) That said, I am concerned it takes such extreme measures to simply get this plugin to install and function properly.
Given that two of us reporting this issue are hosted with InMotion, it would appear that something with this plugin isn’t playing nice with InMotion. InMotion is a SOLID hosting company and I’ve never had issues with my host and a plugin conflicting until now. I will be keeping an eye out on our error logs to see if there’s any residual impacts from this plugin.
]]>I downloaded and installed Yoast per a previous thread but don’t see how to use it with opportunities. Also, we have weekly events that have different volunteers each week. Even if I duplicate one, I’d still have to edit everyone to change the dates.
I love the simplicity of the user experience and hope you can give me some guidance on the best way to accomplish what I need.
thanks!
]]>Hi, Our church thrift store is staffed by volunteers. We would like the volunteers to be able to easily sign up to work on various days. I read in the FAQs that the best way to do this is to set up a one time opportunity for each day that the thrift store will be open. Since all of the information in the opportunity will be the same except the date, is there a way to duplicate opportunities and then just edit the date? Thanks.
]]>Before I commit to using this plugin, will it continue to be updated?
]]>When using plugin CSS the submit button doesn’t work. If not using plugin CSS submit works but all error messages show. Happy with plugin CSS otherwise. Any suggestions?

Can you consider adding SMS support such as via Twlio? With their API and their donation of services to non profits, it would make an excellent reminder option.
]]>I am making a new volunteer website and wanted something that users can “register” with the site to sign up for volunteer opportunities that will also track all their volunteer events and admin being able to see that. I thought Wired would give me that, but I can’t seem to figure out how… Would love the help!
Thank you!
]]>We are operating an emergency food bank and I am going to create a volunteer flexible opportunity for each food parcel delivery request with volunteer limit of one. Once a volunteer books the one opportunity it updates from open to closed but still displays on the list of opportunities. Rather than manually resetting each closed opportunity to draft, is there a way of changing something that makes the opportunity list automatically not show the closed ones?
]]>The volunteer opportunities are now showing up when i use the block on the block editor. It says ‘Sorry, there are no volunteer opportunities available right now.’ even though there are 2 current set up.
]]>Hi there,
first of all: thanks for the great plugin!
I wanted to translate the plugin into the German languages and I did so by creating a .po file using the wired-impact-volunteer-management.pot file in the plugins /languages folder.
Now my question: how do I active the new .po file? Where can I change the plugin to use this instead of the .pot file?
Thank you very much in advance! ??
Best regards and Merry Christmas!

Great plugin. It responds exactly to what I need, a way of managing voluntary surveillance at an exhibition. It’s a pity the missing of two features that I believe are very important: being able to copy the opportunities or import them with a CSV and the possibility of publishing the list of volunteers in a grid or calendar mode. I hope it is possible for a very useful plugin.
]]>Howdy,
Is there a way to include the Opportunity name in the subject line of the emails that are sent? Using the current format {opportunity_name} in the subject of the email would make it really great for sorting.
Thanks,
Tom
Is it possible to export the volunteer opportunities with the associated volunteers to a CSV.
I have tried https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/import-users-from-csv-with-meta/ which gets me the volunteers, but not the opportunities.
I have tried WP All Export which exports the opportunities but not the volunteers.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
