Last version WP. Using Safari you see a blank page instead of the pdf text. On some windows pc (collegues) it gives a red error under the pdf menu bar.

Is there a filter or setting to allow/whitelist subdomains when embedding PDFs?

Ideally, some PHP filter that allows me to whitelist domains when embedding PDFs with the shortcode. As the current behaviour stops even subdomains being it against the CORS policy implemented in the plugin (or possibly in the PDF.JS used)

This is an old issue, but I encountered only since a few day.

The proposed solution in the old topics does nothing (absolute or relative path).

I just installed this and would love to use it. However, the first PDF that I tried–which displays fine in its own browser tab–throws an error in the reader: https://viewpoint.kinsta.cloud/wp-content/uploads/Guidance-on-Vaccines_ViewPoint.pdf
The error text says the PDF is invalid or has errors. I know its a valid PDF, but is there something I’m missing about PDF standards or size limits?

I have a client trying to use this plugin on an iPad (Safari, latest iOS). The popup works fine, but when they go to print, the print preview is of the webpage page, rather than the PDF. This happens with the demo on https://www.wonderplugin.com/wordpress-pdf-embed/#lightboxdemo as well.

There seems to be and error loading external links in the embedded pdf.
We have recently embedded a pdf that contains links to articles in bloomberg and a few others.
Some links are able to load whereas others get “www.prnewswire.com refused to connect.”

Is there a reason why some links can load and others are not able to?

I cannot zoom my pdf use “pinch” in Android phone – Xiaomi and Motorola, but in Iphone is working. Where is the problem?

we were using version 2.0 and plugin was working fine , as we updated recently to latest 2.7 version , we start getting Nginx 404 error on the page , we had to revert back to 2.0 to see the plugin and working fine again .
please update if u know something we could have done or any one else has experienced similar issues after update ..

Is it possible to change the default page zoom from ‘Automatic Zoom’ to another setting, such as to ‘Page fit’? I have a number of pdf embeds all with slightly different sizes, and it would be best if the dimensions of the embed remained universal while the pdfs were fitted to their respective bounding boxes.

Hello. PDF files published since the update to 2.3 are not showing in tablets (tried Safari on iOS and Firefox on FireOS).

All PDF files load fine in phones and desktops.
Previously published files load fine in tablets.

Curiously, newer PDF files load with a light-themed viewer, while old files load with a dark-themed viewer. The light-themed viewer disables zooming with your fingers in phones (you have to use + and – to zoom).

Tried rolling back the plugin but can’t find previous versions.

Any help would be appreciated. Really puzzled…

Hello, i am presently developing a wordpress website and Wonder PDF embed is the plugin used for PDF viewing. I updated the plugin to the newest version just a few minutes ago and the pdf’s that were showing before stopped showing and now has a white background. How do i fix this?

I am new to wordpress. I am trying to get query string parameter for src attribute in wonderplugin shortcode dynamically.

The short code with the filled in src parameter appears on the html page not the file.

I have Wonder PDF Embed installed on my multisite & I am embedding pdf’s through shortcodes.

Many of pdf files contain third party links.
Hyperlinks in pdf’s to other web pages are not clickable and links to pdf’s are clickable but upon clicking returns blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have you wonder plugin installed for a website I maintain. I use it to embed PDFs. I recently embedded a pdf as a blog page. I also have a shortcode for the front page which pulls in blog excepts. However, the block in which I used the embed code does not show up properly on the home page excerpt, but when you click read more it does display properly. Is there anyway to resolve this issue?

I am trying to have my PDFs pop up in a window overlaying the page. I tried the WonderPlugin LightBox with the PDF Embed. I guess you need both. After I installed I , my page speed got much slower. PageSpeed Insights shows “Preload key requests” /wonderplugin-lightbox-trial/engine/icons/css/fontello.css 5.19 sec

This wrecks my website performance. Isn’t there a way around this?

I’m having issues with gray overlay on some documents (screenshot: https://prntscr.com/nbcl9x).

I understand this can be specific to that document file itself, because other documents are showing without problems. I assume that we have something in our PDF files that is not being parsed correctly by PDF.js

The document opens in Chrome normally when it’s viewed with browser’s native viewer (screenshot: https://prntscr.com/nbcm6n)

I don’t have any errors in browser console log.
