Ive encountered an issue with the plugin where it seems to be blocking all countries, not just the UK as intended. Ive double-checked the settings, and everything appears to be configured correctly, but users from other countries are still being blocked.
Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Is there something I might have missed in the setup, or could this be a bug?
Looking forward to your support. Thanks in advance!
]]>Hi,
I have set the plugin settings to: Catalog Visible (non-purchasable)
Then, I blocked some countries for certain products, but surprisingly, the plugin does not work properly on all pages when viewed from a blocked country.
Below are images showing examples of countries where the product should be visible but not purchasable:
For example, the following image is of a product available only for the United States and Canada.
And here is an image of another product available for the same two countries.
And here is an image of a third product also available for the same two countries, which is ideal.
And below are images of the settings:
I need your help to understand the cause of the issue and how it can be resolved.
Thank you in advance to everyone!
Hi we have some products that has Country Based Restrictions for WooCommerce where this product is only for Belgium, Netherlands, US and UK. The problem here is for example I’m from belgium and I put the product in my cart, if I then keep my browser open en refresh after 10min my cart is empty and I get the error ‘Product is removed from cart because it’s no longer available…’.
So how comes it automatically deleting my product even so my product is in stock, my country is correct and I can put my product in the cart and go to checkout but after a refresh of the page after like 10mins the product isn’t available anymore.
]]>I did the required settings in plugin like visibility and force etc when I go to product page set specific location to show only in that country, after hitting update the product or save the the product, page lead me to post section, also selected countries is not saved when I go back to check, I updated wocommerce plugin as well,
]]>We are using the free version of the plugin on our website. Our Catalog Visibility is set to be Catalog Visible (non purchasable). I configured a simple product to be available only to US customers. I then logged in as a customer whose shipping country is Canada. However, I can still add the item to the cart. We have another variable subscription product where there are options for US and options for Canada and this product correctly displays only the Canadian options when logged in as this customer (the US options aren’t visible). The only difference I can tell is that one is a simple product and one is a variable subscription.
]]>good morning, I’m using the FREE version of the plugin. all users in the world, except those in the country where the site works (Italy), must have restrictions.
in the products with restriction I inserted the attribute “visible only in the country Italy”.
if I insert the “force geolocation” flag everything works.
if I do not insert the “force geolocation” flag, until the user logs in, the products appear with the restriction.
by doing so, however, if there are users located in countries with restrictions, even if they use a shipping address located in Italy they cannot purchase the product subject to the restriction.
How can I solve this problem? thanks
]]>Good morning, I’m using your plugin but I’ve noticed that when using WP Rocket, the localization doesn’t work correctly. It seems that the page saves the location on the server side, and therefore doesn’t allow me to prevent the user from selecting a variation with a restriction. How can I fix this?
I can’t put all the product pages in cache because they are too many.
Thanks for the help
Hello,
I have 2 variable products one for the USA (price $8000) and Australia (price $7500). Each are restrict to only that country using your plugin with MaxMind Geolocation.
The USA product should only display the top price as $8000 and the bottom price once the variation is selected as $8000.
But in the top price it displays $7,500.00 – $8,000.00 it is picking up the price from the Australian product when its restricted. How can I fix it so it will not use the restricted countries pricing?
Kind Regards,
Daniel G
]]>Hello,
I have excluded certain items for sale in the USA and yet customers in the USA can still buy the items.
Is there a plugin problem with the free version? What can I do so that the item is no longer sold to the USA and Canada?

Since implementing the plugin, we noticed that all our product pages weren’t being indexed anymore due to 404 errors. We were finally able to track down the issue and something about the way this plugin hides the product is also preventing Googlebot from accessing the page. This happens to all products that have either “product available for all countries” or “product NOT available for all countries”. Normal web browser user agents will pick up the pages just fine but it blocks certain bots which can have negative impacts on search rankings. Imo, this is a pretty serious bug that needs to be addressed.
You can test the issue with this: https://botsimulator.com/index.php
I can provide more details via email.
]]>Hi
is it possible to hide certain category products from the list in the left sidebar depending of the country ? I mean, I need to even hide the name of the category on the sidebar.
]]>Hi, any plans to add the EU as it’s own ‘country’, so it appears in the dropdown selector and when selected it includes all 27 member states? This would a great feature. The previous plugin we were using, Product Visibility by Country for WooCommerce by WP Wham, had this feature and it was a real time saver.
]]>I have detected an issue with the Country Based Restrictions for WooCommerce plugin. The plugin generally works well, but I have found a loophole that allows the purchase of a prohibited product in a restricted country. Here is the operational scenario:
If a product is added to the cart from a permitted country and then the user proceeds to the checkout page, and subsequently changes the country to a restricted one in the checkout fields, the product is not removed from the cart. This allows the purchase and payment for the prohibited product to be completed. The plugin does not perform a check at the moment just before the purchase is finalized.
]]>Hi,
I need to know how to edit the restriction message that pops up when you add a restricted item to cart. Also, I get a ‘sorry you cant purchase this item’ message when adding a non-restricted item to cart. When will this be fixed?
Thanks!
]]>Hi,
I’m having some trouble with the plugin showing the restricted products in the search bar. I saw on another thread that the problem should’ve been fixed with the latest update but that was 3 days ago and it’s still showing for me?
Also, the products restricted for my country arent showing on the backend either. They only show up when I use a VPN. Is that normal?
The plugin works perfectly otherwise so I really hope this can be fixed!
]]>Hey there,
I’m new to WordPress and currently building a website using Tutor LMS. Unfortunately, I can’t provide a website link because I’m developing it locally using Local by Flywheel (localwp software).
Ive encountered an issue where the country-based restrictions Ive set up dont seem to work as expected. Ive configured it so that certain products should not appear for visitors from specific countries. However, when I test this by searching for the product in an incognito window, it still appears.
Im wondering if this issue could be related to my local development environment or if there might be compatibility issues with Tutor LMS and its courses. For context, all my other plugins work as intended.
Is this plugin compatible with Tutor LMS and courses? Any guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
]]>Hi there
I plan to use this plugin to limit the sales of our products in some countries or regions. Since users in my main market are used to filling in only one address, I selected Default to customer billing address in shipping destination, so that users will be required to check the box and fill in the shipping address only if the shipping address does not the same as the billing address.
I would like to know if this plugin can determine the actual shipping address of the user? I found in testing that it uses the user’s shipping address by default, so when the user only fills in the billing address, a bug occurs.
Looking forward to your reply, thank you!
]]>I have set in the general settings that the catalog is visible but not purchasable in certain countries. By testing with GERMANY for example (a country under restriction), the purchase cannot be made, unfortunately however the prices remain visible. This isn’t good for me. In countries with restrictions, in addition to not being able to purchase, I would like the price not even to be visible. It’s possible to do it?

thanks so much
]]>We have the rule set to Product Available for selected countries – Canada, Mexico, United States (US). But a customer in the US says he’s unable to make a purchase. I believe he just sees “Sorry, this product is not available to purchase in your country.” and there’s no add to cart button available for him to place an order. See images below.
We checked the page at our end, cleared cache, used incognito tab but the page automatically restricts purchase.

The “add to cart” button on the product page is not showing up (great!), but the Product Restriction Message isn’t showing up after the product price like it should be.

Major issue on new version. Clicking skip has no affect on the pop-up.
Clicking Allow simply refreshes the pop-up.
The popup is not closing no matter what?
Hello, for example, I have restricted shipping to France and on the other hand, it does allow this product to be sent to France, as you can see if you do the simulation.
What could be the reason, since in the country of France it should be possible to send but some products are not allowed, the prohibition is placed on the product but instead it allows the transaction to be completed without any problem

Everything works fine, except if you go to “shop page” , its still visible , of course you cant access it , not even buy it (it show up “read more button) , but still visible in the main shop archive page.
I tried with a couple of different countries, since i have access to different VPS (ip/country) servers, result is same.
