I was cautious after reading some reviews, but this is super easy to use. First, I created two new test products — both simple, not variable. Then I added them to a new category I created called “Test”. Then I navigated to the WordPress Products Tab and clicked the plugin “Bulk Product Manager.” It opened and then I chose the “Product Category” as the identity type. I ticked all 3 attribute settings and, here is the important part: held down the “control” key and clicked on every single one of the 10 variants I was adding. I then clicked “next” (over on the right side). It worked! So then I did it for a category with just a few variable products to see if it altered any pricing or other information already entered – – it did not! It just adds the attributes. Of course for my products which were simple, I still had to go through and change them to variable and add the variation to cause WooCommerce to display them, but this plug in saved sooooo many repetitive steps! Thank you!

I so wanted this to work. First, because of other reviews, I was weary about it deleting existing attributes, so I ran a test…. Yikes (wish I would have picked a category that I hadn’t finished yet). All existing attributes were gone and only the one I selected in this plugin was there. I thought, well maybe I should not have selected the Update Attributes button. So I ran it on a different category without selecting Update Attributes thinking that it should leave all existing attributes alone, but it wiped them out as well. I so wanted this to work. Now I have another hours work replacing the attributes it wiped out. I know it’s an hours worth of work, because that is when I got tired of doing it manually, so I went looking for this type of plugin to start with. If it can be fixed and work correctly, I would gladly give it 5 stars… If you want to try it yourself, do yourself a favor and try it on one product id first to see if it behaves right for you before wiping out a whole category’s worth of attributes.

I contacted the developer and explained How & Why this don’t work.
Promised a working update but it hasn’t arrived yet.
Just be careful if you Do use this it doesn’t deliver and the results can be VERY unpredictable!
f you do get it sorted Developer, let me know and I’ll use it, it’s exactly What I need ….. anyone know of a similar product I’d be pleased to hear about it

I don’t know what the heck this plugin made but it had put all my products unavailable for sale and replaced my attributes. Lucky I had a database backup on my server and could recover all the lost data.
Not recommended, would rate half star if possible.

if you have any current products with attribute variations (and they have price differences), do not use this plugin.
i wanted a plugin that would allow me to bulk add an attribute to multiple products (disregarding and price differences). what i got instead was a plugin that overwrites everything already set up………
at that point, i had 2 options: 1) backup the database from a daily backup (yesterday), or 2) fix every product….

Be very careful before using this plugin – it may be just what you’re looking for if you’re starting using attributes for the first time, but if you already have lots of products set up you risk killing your site!

This plugin overwrites all of your product attributes and consequently your product variations.
I used it to bulk add one attribute to all of my products. It erased all of the attributes that I manually assigned to 400 products. That’s 3 days worth of work down the drain.
If you ignore all the user review warning, then be sure to back up your database table before using this plugin.

As per the previous reviews, (which unfortunately i did not read before downloading), it messes up the product variations and makes them disappear when you add attributes to your products.
Also, if you have Simple Products (one variation per product), it still does not work, as when you refresh your page, or check again overnight, the attributes will keep reducing. Eg 108 Attibute Gold becomes 23 Attribute Gold the next day.
Do not download as it will mess up your site.

For some reason rather than update the attributes it creates them as variation/attributes and sets the product type to variable.

Do not buy this plugin!!! It will screw up your entire wordpress.
I soon as I ran the plug-in it directed me to the WordPress Installation page. Saying that my page o longer existed.
If you are looking for a quick way to do attributes and variations, do not get this it will only slow down the process.

I was eager to find this plugin because I wanted to add many product attributes to the ones I already had in place. Instead, this tool replaced my existing attributes and oddly changed my simple products to variable products. This would be a helpful plugin if it were less risky and damaging. Ended up recovering my site from a backup to resolve.
