The Plugin “WooCommerce Bulk Discount” appears to be abandoned (updated February 1, 2021, tested to WP 5.6.11).

We want to give a free gift to people who subscribe, but not to people who buy one-time. We are using WooCommerce Subscription and All product for WooCommerce Subscription. Can we do that with your plugin?

Creates a bug in the cart with Woocommerce and Woocommerce Product Add-on.

If the same item is added twice with different quantities within the product add-on plugin, having the bulk discount plugin activated on the site generates an error, that duplicates the price of the lowest priced item for both items.

For example, adding ‘gravity grip’ to the cart with a custom length of 30 ft (97,50$ CAD),and them a second gravity grip with a custom length of 15 ft (48,75$), will adjust the price of the 30ft to 48,75$ as well.

I ran a troubleshooting on the site using only Woocommerce, product Add-On, and the Storefront theme, and found out the problem only occurs when I activate Bulk discount.

(I had to de-activate it for now to prevent any further money loss)

When I see my cart and see the subtotal of whatever item has the bulk discount applied, it shows properly. However when I see the cart totals, it’s not the same as the subtotal in the items list table. And when the user pays, they’re also paying the full amount rather than the discount.

I am trying to put a discount on a variable product when 2 or more are purchased, but it only discounts when the products are the exact same variation. I read another post or FAQ that said to get the latest update, but I already have that. What can I do to make it so that customers can but the same product but in different colors while still getting the discount?

The configuration is the same in all languages, can you tell me if bulk discount is compatible with polylang?

I look line 83 – in add_action( ‘woocommerce_single_product_summary’, array( $this, ‘single_product_summary’ ), 45 ); but if I change woocommerce_single_product_summary to woocommerce_get_price_html – price hide and I look only discount without price.

This plugin doesn’t seem to work with any multi currency plugin such as WOOCS for example.

I have noticed a problem with the pricing on variations though… when you add two variations of the same product it will deduct the same discount twice.

The bulk buys thqt we have added:
Buy 10 for $9 each ($2.00 off!) <br>
Buy 20 for $8.50 each ($2.50 off)<br>
Buy 30 for $8.00 each ($3.00 off)<br>
Buy 40 for $7.50 each ($3.50 off)<br>

For instance:
(10) Blue Powder Free Vinyl Gloves 100 per box TGA Approved – Medium
normally $11, discounted to $9 for bulk buy of 10 units
Total: Normally $110, now $90 (discount of $20)

This is Correct.

But if we then add a different variation from the same product it *doubles the discount* for the two:
(10) Blue Powder Free Vinyl Gloves 100 per box TGA Approved – Medium
(10) Blue Powder Free Vinyl Gloves 100 per box TGA Approved – Large
normally $11, now $8.5p for bulk buy of 20 units
Total: Normally $220, should be $170 (discount of $50)
but instead it applies the total discount twice so the total is now $120 instead.

So your code is picking up that this product now has 20 items ordered and thus a better discount for the customer of %8.50 per item, but it deducts the total discount for EACH of them. If I add a third variation it triples the discount and so on.

Can you look at this please? Or does this product not support variations at all?
If so what else would you receommend?

We want a different policy, for example if the customer orders more than 5 items of different products (NOT 5 items of each products) a discount of $10 will be applied only on the subtotal price.

So after moving my whole site from BigCommerce to WooCommerce i noticed that the “Bulk Pricing” sync did NOT match up properly.

The original bulk pricing on my BC site was displayed as a fixed Price for Unit based on volume, whereas this plugin does a Fixed Discount amount.

So now my entire pricing is messed up. Is there a way to make it so the numbers I have in my system simply display as the total dicounted price and not a percentage or discount amount?

I hope that makes sense, or do you know of another plugin that will work for me to be able to do this? Thank You!????

My cart is broken and I’m noticing the bulk discount plugin has not been tested with WordPress 5.8 and Woo Commerce 5.5.
Is it in fact incompatible and if so when will it be updated?

If the product A is included in a bundle, this plugin takes the price of the bundled item (wich is 0) to show it in the cart and minicart.

However, the cart total is correct, which is quite weird.

the plugin seems to be 100% translated to german, but neither in the backend nor in the frontend the correct language is displayed at language de_de.

The word discount on the checkout page cannot be translated with plugin ‘Loco translate’. This is probably because it is hardcoded. Can you adjust this in the future? Or if I’m wrong can you explain how I can translate this word?

I work with different prices on the same product (example: I have professional, public and wholesale prices) the plugin works great with the normal price but when trying to apply it at the professional price, this is applied in the subtotal but in the total price of the purchase does not apply, can you help me?

Any multi currency plugin at all. I’ve tried three:
villa themes – multi currency
woocs – currency switcher
tiv.net – multi currency premium

All of them have one issue with this discount plugin. The Cart/checkout page calculates the new price twice. This only happens when this plugin is active. Are there any code snippets or workarounds you can share?

I had made some modifications to the plugin in the past to extend things a bit (and fix a possible bug), but I couldn’t find anywhere to submit them. Since the plugin has updated again, I figure I’ll open a thread here to try to get them to you.

The changes I made were:

1. Added a Filter for the Quantity of each Cart Item that is used for the Bulk Discount calculation so that it could be programmatically adjusted if desired.
2. Adjusted the calculated Discounts to be per Cart Item rather than per Product ID. This is important as there were potential issues where if a more than one Cart Item shared the same Product ID it would inherit the Discounted Rate of the last Cart Item with that Product ID rather than be assigned its own based on its Quantity.
– This is often not a problem in normal usage, but if the two Cart Items had differing Cart Item Meta it could cause them to separate in the Cart. Then if the first Cart Item of that Product ID had 5 items and the second had 2 and the threshold for the Bulk Discount was 5, the first Cart Item would not get the Bulk Discount despite qualifying as the calculations would be based on the last found Cart Item of that Product ID.

I’m not super SVN-savvy, but I could get these changes to you as either a Git Diff or I could send you a ZIP of v3.0.0 of the plugin with my changes applied. Whichever you prefer is fine with me.
