Tried installing this. It needs a companion plug-in. It then tried to install a Maxmind geolocation database from a URL that doesn’t work. Why it couldn’t find the one I’ve already got installed as part of WooCommerce integration I’ve no idea. But, since it fgell at the first hurdle, I can’t really recommend this.

Two things that I would suggest to improve your plugin is that:
1 I am missing information in the orders overview the column VAT, I am used to see that in the order overview. Your plugin does not provide this information to activatie this column in screen settings.
2 An error message would be great in case a VAT number failed to validate. Currenctly VAT does not vanish as a result of invalid VAT number. Improvement would be a error message so users will be notified there VAT is invalid.

VAT is so complicated, and I was really struggling to make Woocommerce’s automated taxes work for our EU-based business. This plugin is easy to set up and works the way I expected the default Woocommerce automated taxes to work!
– Educates us on EU requirements on the plugin settings page
– Updates tax rates for EU with a click of a button <3
– Doesn’t disable the tax display options, so you can show prices on product pages tax included

As far as I can tell right now, this is absolutely the best solution available. I was using uther solutions until now but when I came across this plugin I downloaded it and it works superb!
