]]>There’s no sidebar on my main shop page. I installed the plug-in Woosidebar to make one. I did every step as the reference pictures but there’s still no sidebar.
I want to have a sidebar so customers can search for products or choose product’s categories. How can I do that?
]]>Hi.
I understood that this plugin is no longer maintained but is there any way to make it works with PHP 8.2 ? It is currently in version 1.4.6 and already contains the indicated change for line 170. But when PHP 8.2 is enabled : Error thrown Call to undefined function create_function().
The website is then broken, including the admin console.
I have 2 sites that cannot use PHP 8.2 because of this plugin issue. Does that mean all websites using this plugin and willing to use PHP 8.2 must be rebuild totally ? That’s a huge deal as I don’t see an alternative to have different sidebars according to the page / products displayed which looks like a basic thing.

What would cause this.

]]>Is it possible to have different sidebar for lowest level product categories (has no child categories) and different for categories with a child category?
I wouldn’t like to select each one of the categories, since there are many.
Thanks
I had to modify the code to enable this plugin for PHP8, but subsequently discovered it’s missing the advanced setting option in the latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce, so it’s unusable for me as I only wanted it on the blog pages :{

thank you
]]>I’m having an odd problem when I add a new sidebar (new widget area) when I add a “Filter by Attribute” module to the new sidebar.
1. I added in new “Filter by Attribute” to the new sidebar. Let’s say I add something like: Color: color (attribute) / Size: size (attribute) / Style: style (attribute)
2. All the attributes look fine in all the sidebars including the new one. Great.
3. Then I do a CNTL R (control refresh on the page- did this by accident first time)
5. Now in my Filter by Attribute Color: size (attribute) NOT color (attribute) and Size has style (attribute) not size attribute. What just happened? This messes up every sidebar using woosidebars. Not just the recently created one.
6. If I re-enter the page by using the left hand WP Nav – Dashboard / Appearance / Widgets menu and click, all the attributes are back to what I want them to be.
Why are the attributes getting messed up by refreshing the page? And yes, I’ve shut down all plugins and changed to a base theme. Same issue. Also have a second site using this, and having the same issue on it.
I know how confusing this sounds. I could problem screenshots if needed.
]]>Hi,
A while ago, I created 3 widget areas and they show up and work fine.
Recently, I created another 2 widget areas but, they don’t show up in the Widget panel.
Basically, I went to Widget Areas, clicked on Add New and then proceeded to complete it with my conditions and then saved it.
Then, when I go to Widgets, I can’t see them. I only see the first 3 I made many months ago.
What could be preventing it from showing up?
Thanks.
]]>woosidebars seems isn’t compatible with PHP8
When enabling, this fatal error is generated:
Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier "a" in /wp-content/plugins/woosidebars/classes/class-woo-sidebars.php:170
Tested with version 1.4.5 (latest)
Rolling back to PHP 7.4 run fine.

]]>Hello,
I’m using this plugin to customize the wordpress sidebar on certain pages / post types. The problem is that this plugin doesn’t seem to be compatible with the WPML plugin: if I disable WPML, wooSidebars works great, but if I enable WPML, the WooSidebar plugin stops working. Is there any solution to use both plugins without having any problem?
Thanks in advance!
]]>woosidebar is braking the product page header lay out pls resolve
]]>Hi
I love this plugin and thank you for that!
Two things:
1. Is this product safe to use anymore? Are you putting over 300.000 installations at risk or is it perfectly safe?
2. Is anyone responsible for updating this plugin or should we consider it completely abandoned and look elsewhere?
With Kind Regards
Poul
Hi,
I have an issue with WooSidebars distorting the layout of several WooCommerce shops that I look after.
Within the admin area I can see the Products page, however, “Custom Sidebars” appears vertically (one letter above the next) which makes for an overly large table row.
It also affects other table rows in a similar way. I can’t provide a link as it’s within the admin area, but you can see a screen grab here: https://ibb.co/Fh8bFy9
Is there a way to fix this, or to stop Products from displaying custom sidebar info?
Thanks.

]]>Hello!
I am trying to create a custom sidebar that will appear on all my “bbq tips posts” that ONLY includes articles with bbq tips.
I am then going to create another custom sidebar that will appear on all my “recipe posts” that will ONLY include articles with recipes.
I have created a custom sidebar for bbq tips. I have gone to “taxonomy terms” and chosen “all posts in category x” (because all of my bbq tips are also in 1 or more categories, for example “grill cleaning”, “charchoal grill”, “lighting your grill” etc.
The only one I have not chsosen is “all posts in category Recipe”.
I have also made sure that the custom sidebar is checked to replace the old sidebar, called “sidebar”.
I have also checked the box to use the “custom sidebar” on all of my posts, one by one. Except for the 1 recipe post I have so far.
I still cannot seem to get it to work. It still shows the original sidebar.
Can you please help me?
Best regards,
Isabella
Hasn’t been updated in over a year and nobody responding to the post. Tried alternatives but they also have issues.

I tried your plugin to remove the sidebar from some pages on my site, it does work to a certain point.. but leaves a blank space instead of letting the page show full width, it was recommended by the theme provider and in some tutorials.. but have not been able to make it work as intended.. any suggestions? or am I using the plugin incorrectly.. thanks

]]>How do I use this plugin with WPML?
]]>Hi Using the latest Avada theme (Ver 5.6.2) I have a Sidebar set to display on all product categories called “help-sidebar”
I have around 100 product categories and I need to assign a unique sidebar for each.
I started adding Widget Areas for each one, and each one was assigned to replace “help-sidebar”.
The sidebars produced for each category in widgets (I have only tried 6 so far) are set with a unique menu set up for each category under menus.
The first couple seemed to work, then suddenly all the categories showed the same sidebar rather than the ones that have been set for that category?
Ive tried saving the other widget areas again, and have checked that they have the correct product categories selected etc, they do…
]]>Hi,
I have widget areas for various categories for posts. In some cases, multiple categories are applied to a single post. Is there a specific way to ‘force’ certain widget area to be used, when this occurs?
I have tried to apply the Custom Sidebar option from the Posts page, as shown towards the bottom of this page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woosidebars-2/
But it does not work. It causes the browser to ‘reload’ but I only see a zero at the top left of the page.
Thx–
