Words I need to change is a combinaison of 2 words.
Let’s take an example.
Expression to be changed : BLUE CAR
Changed into : BLUE CARS
This seem to work perfectly, BUT it will also change already existing “BLUE CARS” into “BLUE CARSS” (double “s”).
What’s the correct syntax in order to change ony if “BLUE CAR” is found)

]]>I have noticed a rather big bug with the plugin. It works fine, until I have to edit or update a page on the site. As soon as I edit a page that has had words or phrases replaced, it reverts back to the old text and each instance has to be edited manually.
Is there a way to make all the changes stick? rather than having errors popping up all over the place whenever I make updates.

When editing the replacements, the checkbox columns consume a LOT of space. If you minimize them, the label still takes the half of space.
Why not changing the labels into shorter descriptions with a full description title tag?

I’m using Word Replacer partly as (html/js) code snippet inserter, and I think I’m not the only one who does this. Big benefit is to prevent WP’s “auto screw-up” of manually edited code.
It would be very handy to implement the syntax highlighting editor EditArea to the replacement fields (you’re already using it in another plugin).

]]>Just wondering if I can replace the word on only one selected page. Like if I have a cleaning business and want to specify a certain suburb on different pages. The way I am doing it, I clone the page and use word replace but it changes the word on both pages where as I only need the cloned page changed. Does this make sense to any one?

]]>Do you have any plans to optimize Word Replacer as PS3 Profiler says that it takes more than 27% of the load time for one of the sites I work on? I know it differs based on the site, but over 27% is a lot.

Scenario:
– Page is requested
– Plugin does the magic
– Plugin saves the changes to db and put the post/page id in the “done” list
– next time the page is served, plugin does not intervene because the page/post is whitelisted
Great Plugin. For some reason though when I go to my bbpress forum the top dashboard bar goes away. Is this supposed to happen or is there a fix. Otherwise the plugin behaves very well with all other plugins I am currently running which is quite a few.

1) I activated the replacement and ticked
Posts/Comments/Pages/Titles/BBPress/Insensitive
2) The newly replaced words appear in:
– Post (Front End)
– List of Posts (Admin)
– XML sitemap and feeds
3) But when I clicked the “Edit” or “Quick Edit”, the content still looked the same.
What exactly does the “Whole Word” option do?

First of all, thank you for your wonderful plugin. I am using it for a while now, but I have two major problems. When I click on “add a new field”, it takes up to 8-9 minutes to load and now that I have too many words, it doesn’t add more words anymore. Any ideas?

I have only one problem,,
I use regex to replace word with url to the current post.
(hot|sexy) with <a href=""><strong>$1</strong></a>
The plugin works, all word “hot” and “sexy” replaced with url of the current post. But matches word on “<img src=” also replaced.

its not working for me wit WordPress 3.1.1.
The table wp_word_replacer in “original” contains strange signs and nothing work. If I change the word it still not work.

I want to filter some objects automatically, so I try to replace it with an invisible object such as “<!-- Filtered Ads -->“.
So I enter the following text in the Original left field to create my first rule
“<p><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.anydomain.com">Advertising Links ? Item</a></p>“
but after clicking ‘Add/Update Words’ my code text is modified to
“<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https://www.anydomain.com\">Advertising Links ? Item</a></p>“
The result of course is not what I’ve expected as it replaces the full posts content. I’ve tested to enable/disable the “Insensitive” checkbox but it changes nothing. “Posts” is checked and “RegEx” is unchecked.
I know this plugin hasn’t been made to replace some parts of the posts code but I can’t find a good filter plugin that would suit my needs. So any help on using Word replacer would be very welcome…
