We have updated the plugin. While every site is configured differently, we hope our newer version will certainly work better than the abandoned version. Please let us know of any issues and we will see what we can do.
]]>Why does the script put spaces around the rules? Because of that the site will stop working cuz the .htaccess file is invalid.
Manually removing the spaces makes the site accessible again.
And then it turns out the rules do not work ??
Waste of time.
Hi,
there is the notice “this plugin is no longer being update. Please feel free to adopt me!” on the plugin description page – is this still true? I’m interested in taking over the plugin.

]]>The plugin php file isn’t compatible with 3.8.1. It broke my website and slightly panicked me to think it messed up the htaccess file. It didn’t. It actually added the necessary lines to enable hotlink protection.
However, the plugin file itself (the single php file that makes it) is NOT compatible with WP 3.8.1 and it will break your website once you successfully activate the plugin.
After manually deleting the plugin folder (via ftp) everything went back to normal again.
The compatibility box should be updated to RED.

]]>Hi. I’ve got the WP Hotlink Protection plugin to prevent hotlinking to my blog, but it is not allowing Google Reader or BlogLovin’ to view my images. How can I fix this?
I would like to allow both Google Reader & BlogLovin’ to see my images, but prevent people from hotlinking to them on forums and such.
Thanks very much for your assistance with this issue.

]]>Hi – I installed the plug-in and every image on my blog is now inaccessible… not on the media control panel, not on the blog.
Also, some of the graphics in the plug control panel don’t resolve properly. I have tried to deactivate the plug in – but whatever files were dropped in do not disappear when the plugin is Deactivated – the images links are all broken on my blog and I can’t find my images.
Can you tell me what files were inserted by the plug in – and where -and how I access them – so they can be deleted. I am sick!!!!
Thanks
