I can′t see what is in the upload folder, and manually start the sync. I would rather start the sync manually then have the system do it automatically.
I have uploaded via ftp and sync 3 batches with more than 200 files without an issues, and then…. it stop working.

I found something in the process of upload the files and then synch them via the WPFU plugin that I would like to bring to your attention.
I do name my files, so they can be sorted alphabetically and that would also be chronological.
After I have my files uploaded via FTP to my folder of choice, when I go the Media Sync screen in the plugin I realize that the list of the files to be processed are not alphabetically sorted. This, maybe coupled with the fact that the files are synched in chunks that may not keep the orginal order, the end result is that my images in WP library can′t be sorted by the IDs and generated a chronological list of images….
This makes things very hard specially for weddings, where the images will not follow the schedule of the day….
Can you verify if my theory is correct and if so, if there is any way to get this sorted out?

]]>I am not using the default wp-content/uploads directory. Using the WP Original Media Path plugin I′ve changed it to a different folder: /home/paulotebet/public_html/wp-prd/midia/imagens
The WP Original Media Path, uses folders relative to the root of the WP Site, so in order to get the Images folder above to work, I had to enter this in
../wp-prd/midia/imagens
The site I am in right now, is /public_html/wp-dev/midia/imagens, but I want my images to be stored at:
/public_html/wp-prd/midia/imagens, so the way to get there was to use the ../wp-prd/midia/imagens
This is working just fine, if I use WP Media Library to upload the images.
If I upload an image to /home/paulotebet/public_html/wp-prd/midia/imagens/bem-vindo-ibere.jpg Sync Media Library does recognizes that the file is there and sync it with WP Media Library.
But then I′ve got a broken image item in the WP Library and the File URL content is: https://midia.paulotebet.com/imagens//home/paulotebet/public_html/wp-prd/midia/imagens/bem-vindo-ibere.jpg
instead of
/home/paulotebet/public_html/wp-prd/midia/imagens/bem-vindo-ibere.jpg
I have multiple sites for development, testing, staging, pluings test, and production.
Besides the disk space consumption that I would have if I kept all the images directory replicated on every site that I use, I would not be able to use GoDaddy Clone future, that doesn′t handle the change for the images URL from site to site.
Somehow, WPFU is not being able to proper process the ../wp-prd/midia/imagens. It does correctly recognizes where the files are located, but somehow it creates an unvalid File URL at the end of the sync′ing process.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Uploader works fine but when I want to use Sync, it produces a screen full of errors one by one like this:
Notice: unserialize() [function.unserialize]: Error at offset 0 of 1 bytes in /home/my-path/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-flash-uploader/inc/wfu-sync.php on line 415
the only difference is offset 0 of 1 bytes where second number instead of 1 is sometimes 2, 5, 13, 19, 23 etc.
How do I fix it?

The fact that something like this (being able to choose your upload folder) isn’t already in WP is mind-blowing – so thank you.
I have a brand new site (WP 4.0)and am uploading images. The first ones synced instantly and I didn’t have to do anything to see them in the library. All the pics I’ve uploaded thru WP Flash uploader since do not sync for a while and I do not see them in the library – not a problem, I go hit “Sync Media Library”. But every time, duplicates of images previously loaded are added – ie:
original file: blue sky.png – WP makes its’ smaller images
duplicate file: blue sky 150×150 150×150.png
duplicate file: blue sky 150×150 150×150 150×150.png
And so on. I believe I have 11 original images and there’s something like 26 showing in the media library because of the duplicates.
Am I using the plugin incorrectly? Is there something going on? I’d love to keep using this because I want my files to be organized – and not in date/month folders!

– I installed WordPress Flash Uploader 3.1.3 and activated it, but didn’t run any part of it
– Checked my site — no images showing! Media Library appears empty!
– Checked my …/uploads/ subfolders — all the jpg files are gone!
– Deactivated the plug-in
– Added the alternate cron line to wp-config.php
– FTP’d my back-up images up to the …/uploads/ subfolders
– Re-activated the plug-in
– Still no images showing on the site, and the Media Library appears empty
– Went to Dashboard / Media / Sync Media Library
– It shows many files to be imported, so I click “Import Files to Media Library” button
– It appears to import each file, and when it finished, it said that all files are in sync, 0 only in upload folders, 0 only in Media Library
– But still no images showing on the site, and the Media Library appears empty
– I went to the Sync Media Library page again, and now it says:
“No files found which are not already in the media library.”
Files in upload folder and media library which are in sync: 0
Files only in upload folder: 0
Files only in media library: 0
I can’t think of anything else to try, so tomorrow I’m going to rebuild the site from backups.
But if the detailed description of the problems above help point the way to any fixes to this plug-in, I’d still really like to use the Sync portion! (Not interested in the Uploader portion, so I’d like to see the two plug-ins offered separately.)

]]>Hello, I love this plugin and am using it to keep the media libraries of several sperarate wordpress blogs.
Now I have a multisite wordpress installation and was hoping to be able to synchronize the different library folders between all blogs.
But there is a problem I can’t solve: In each blog WP flash uploader indeed sees the files in all library folders and syncs their data but in the media library only image placeholders show up.
I think there is a problem with read access but don’t know how to bypass that.
Any advice would be very welcome.

]]>Hi, I need to import over 200.000 images which are contained in folders and sub folders. I need the images to not be moved and to keeep folder structure and i need the thumbnail to be generated.

However I have some speed issues, it took about 2 hours to import 18.000 images. What can I do to improve the speed.
I’m ruining on localhost then after I import the files i generate a cvs and import everything in w e-commerce as products, will upload on the server after i’m done importing cause i’m on a shared server.
Not too good with servers, I have xampp latest version and I changed memory allocation in sql and in php.
Let me know what I can do to speed this up.

We are planning to use the Flash Uploader plugin on our multisite, but now something unexpected happens: the upload isn’t uploaded in the expected folder, actually I can’t find it anywhere, but the uploader acts as if everything was alright. No error messages, the images is quadrupled in different sizes, and it it added to the Media Library.
When I then look in the Media Library, it is there, but no image to be viewed. Then I edit it, and see at File URL:

But in the settings I have at Upload Path:
/home/testuser/domain/public_html_cgn/images/cose/
Am I not using the right settings?
I changed the Upload Url Path to ‘cose_upload_url_path/’, but that did nothing, nor did changing the Fileupload Url to ‘https://cose.domain/fileupload_url/’.

Version 2.16.1 was working fine, so I tried downgrading to that version and then all was fine again.

That would be the button I would press all the time instead of waiting for an automatic sync interval and checking.

]]>When I activate this plugin, and then go to the Media/WP Flash Uploader page, I get this error message:
“WordPress database error: [Table ‘db024961_cgn_wordpress_tst.wp_ps_groups’ doesn’t exist]

The message is correct: the table doesn’t exist. Bu why is WFU trying to get info from it? What should it contain? Shouldn’t WFU create the table, or at least check for its existence?
What is the purpose of get_user_groups() anyway?

]]>This is driving me crazy. I changed hosts and imported my WordPress site. Everything works perfectly except an issue with images that are in the uploads folder, but not in the media library. WP Flash Uploader seemed like the perfect solution. However, when I try to sync the media library, I get an Apache error. No matter what I do, it’s an error. Upon researching it, I’ve found that I need to edit my php.ini file to lengthen the time before it times out, but I didn’t have access to it, so I followed instructions and made one. That didn’t work. If you’re on a cheap server and can’t modify things easily, this will just be a pain. If anyone knows of an easy way to get it to work without it timing out, I would be so happy to know about it!

When I try to activate the extension, WP answers that it is activated but the fact is that it is not activated: not activated in the extensions list and non entry is visible in the WP admin menu.
Finally, I did desactivate Media Library Categories (simply named Media Categories in the extensions list) and WP Flash Upload works…
