I downloaded the Gzip and it definitely works well. However, when I tested with the PageSpeed Insights it seems that few files cannot be compressed or I just do not know how.
Would you please advise me how can I compress the following with the WP Gzip Comp:
wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.1
wp-content/themes/mesocolumn/style.css
wp-content/plugins/comprehensive-google-map-plugin/style.css?ver=9.1.1
Thanks
Regards,
Ivan

Hi, I’m a plugin developer, and my plugin has a special API that works over HTTP GET. Is there a way that when my API returns a response, it doesn’t automatically get intercepted by your plugin, compressing data?
Here’s why this was a problem for me. My plugin calls back to a master plugin on a server. That server has your plugin installed. When people register their plugin against my server, it uses wp_remote_get() and that thing automatically decompresses the data. But unfortunately one customer has a hosting plan that doesn’t have the mod_deflate installed in Apache, and so he got garbage back and couldn’t register his plugin. So, the idea was that I find out from you how to send a response back on this API that will never get compressed by your plugin.

Then I tested my website with online website testers, seemed that there was no gzipping going on,
So I uninstalled it, and then my whole website went blank, nothing but blank white screens everywhere. I re-installed the plugin, and site was back to normal.
If I wanted to uninstall, what do I need to clean or fix to prevent this? Thanks

]]>I just installed WordPress Gzip Compression since I have several css files that should be gzipped. After I downloaded it I checked Google’s Page Speed and it changed some urls (shortened them) which is good. The problem is, that I still have all those css files a js files that need compressing. I don’t see options for this feature, is it missing something or do I need to change some code somewhere to include these files?

no idea what this plugin actually does – but it DOESN’T gzip.
