In the plugin settings I chose to display both Hebrew and Gregorian. When I use ex. Elementor Post Info widget, the date is displayed correctly. But shortcut displays only the Hebrew date.
Is there a way to set a date format through the shortcut?
]]>Hello, and thanks for the wonderful plugin!
I would like to know if there is a way to change the configuration of the date so that it does not display the thousand at the beginning of the date but only the year (instead of “?’???”?”, only: “???”?”)
Also, is there a way to change the names of the months (for example if I want to write “????” instead of “??????”)
Thank you!

]]>Thanks for a very useful and maintained plugin. Some sites that use this plugin are primarily not Hebrew sites. I would like to request that the Hebrew portion of the formatted date be wrapped in a span with a lang=”he” attribute so that the display can be targeted by CSS (to change the font for example). I guess this can be limited to sites that do not have the primary language as Hebrew. Samples for Gregorian/Hebrew and plain Hebrew output with the proposed span can be seen below. A span should cause no issues for those who do not need it, but I guess it can be made optional.
Thanks
PS: you can change the URLs to your site in the plugin header to use https. Note that the batchgeo.com link returns a 404 and charges now, and whatsmylatlng.com redirects to a url with https with an expired cert. The Google link should be changed to https.

]]>Hi,
I would like to use this for my Hebrew Archive page but not my English Archive page.
Is ther any way for me to set the date meta to use this plugin only for the Hebrew language but not for English?
Thanks
Have the settings on: heb-greg on the settings page – tried adding this shortcode to the page with no luck [today_hebdate] – have added the widget to the page also no luck. Is there another shortcode I can add to show both Gregorian date and the Hebrew date – am not good at going into the code to add PHP – do not want to mess with my templates.
Thank you! Plugin looks great
]]>Hello and thank you very much for your plugin.
I used it for several years on my website “ornaki.org” (used to be “nogezel.org”) and it was great.
But now I moved my website to a new host, and I get a critical error warning when I turn this plugin on.
Do you have an idea what could be the problem?
Hi
This is a great plugin which I’ve used for many years. Howwever I’ve just upgraded the server to nginx and PHP7.2, and the plugin shows the following error:

]]>Thank you for your plugin! We have a question. Most spellings of the current Hebrew month refer to it as “Cheshvan” and not “Heshvan” as your plugin does. Can this be changed to “Cheshvan”? Thank you! We have not used your plugin long enough to review the other months, but we are hoping that they are spelled as follows…
Nissan
Iyar
Sivan
Tammuz
Av
Elul
Tishri
Cheshvan
Kislev
Tevet
Shevat
Adar
Hello,
The plugin is really great, and it works on pages and comments, but the shortcode [today_hebdate] is not working on my child theme (I am adding it in a top menu as a custom link with # and instead of showing the date it showes the code. It is working on the parent theme though….what can be the problem?
Thanks
Hi, the plugin is working everywhere but not for the header date.
I manage to add it using the <?php today_hebdate() ?> on the header.php file but now on a “Managed” installation I have no access to the Editor and there is no widget to add anything to the header.
Is this a problem on the plugin or the theme? Can be fixed from the Plugin side?
A suggestion, if this is “fixed” could a new functionality be added to add “B”H” to the header next to the date?
thanks
Hello. I just installed this highly recommended plug-in. When I go to edit the options, I get the following error message:
Hebrew date format
Fatal error: Call to undefined function gregoriantojd() in /data/demo/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-hebrew-date/heb_date.php on line 17
This is a brand new WordPress installation. How may I correct this error?
Thank you for your time.
]]>After your last release I noticed that the following (from your install page) doesn’t work anymore.
(Optional) if you want to add the hebrew date of today than you need to add <?php today_hebdate() ?> where you want.
Once I added “echo” it started to work again:
<?php today_hebdate() ?> OLD
<?php echo today_hebdate() ?> NEW
Just thought you might want to update your installation page.
]]>[today_hebdate] Works great, but there it is formatted for at the end of posts.
When attempting to inline the Hebrew Date, the formatting has some line formatting and inline spaces. This makes it impossible to inline.
Is there a way you can create a short-code that also allows inline placement. A raw string such as “2 Shevat 5777”. No inline or spaces before or after.
It would be epic when placing a Gregorian Date with the Hebrew Date side by side on the front page or a widget in whatever format someone wants.
Thank you.
When i activate the plugin, all the posts date changing to the date when I installed theme.
I use a theme: NewsPaper 6.
You know this problem?
Thanks!
