Hi,
Simple question, just wondering if there is likely to be any updates coming soon for this plugin as I’m getting the following errors:

]]>Hello,
Great work, thanks.
I am using “Secure invites” (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-mu-secure-invites/) to limit user registration by email invitation or invitation code, and the registration page will only be visible after user click invitation link or input invitation code. and the only problem is that it alway redirect user to main site registration page.
So I am using “Join My Multisite” for per site registration, it work fine, but the registration page will alway be visible to users even without invitation, anyway to make the registration page invisible for users without invitation? or any other recommend?
Any comment or suggestion would be great appreciated, thanks in advance.
Alex
]]>Hello,
This is great plugin, and I tried for 4 days to make it work.
For now, we send invitation in sub site, and the users will be redirect to main site of Multisite after click the invitation link.
My question:
1# whether it is possible to complete registration only at sub site after click innovation link, while not redirect to main site?
2# if not custom setting for invitation CODE and only for , it will always “Sorry, you must be invited to join this community.” although user indeed have invitation url and clicked that url. and the users can not access to next step of register page, anything wrong?
3# in “Use custom settings” option:
Signup settings
What address do you want the invitation emails to send people to? Please add the full URL to the registration page.
what does mean by “add the full URL to the registration page”? do you mean we need add that url by php code in registration page? or just put that url by text url? whatever, how to do that?
Alex
]]>hi,

And yes, the user was invited.

]]>I have Buddypress installed and have been looking for a way to fight all the spam registrations on my site. This is the only plugin I’ve found that has the functionality I need to keep the registrations a closed community, however I can’t get it to work with Buddypress. I’ve set custom registration options and listed the register URL as mysite.com/register which is the BP registration page, but the redirect leads to a 404 because the link generated is mysite.com/register/emailofinvitee. How to fix?

]]>Is this plugin still working? I added it and the settings page has nothing except the option to choose if signup is only for people invited.
I chose that, open the website not logged-in and can see the whole website, so I am not sure how it is suppose to work..
Hope someone can help me with that. Really want to have my website as an invite-only website.
Thanks!

]]>Hi,
Thanks your plugin is exactly what I need, but in my admin settings, I can not see your what you have in your last screen shot that helps limiting open signup. How can I show the register page only to people who received the invitation? not to anyone entering the registration URL?

]]>I would like to create a feature that, when invitations are sent, the new role of the invited can be specified at invitation time. So, if the current user is an Editor, then invitations send by her could, optionally, have the new user’s initial role would be that of an ‘Editor’, too.
I’m note exactly sure how to handle inviting other roles. An Editor should be able to invite somebody as an Author, but not as an Admin.
Would there be a WordPress-way of doing this? I really don’t know. I could imagine maybe taking advantage of multiple-roles, so you can only only invite to one of your existing roles, or to the default-new-user role.
Motivation: I’m sponsoring the development of a plugin to give each user role their own entry in the admin menu, so, a submenu for all ‘Editors’ and another submenu would list all ‘Authors’. You can see a description and wireframe here: https://www.freelancer.com/projects/php-Wordpress/WordPress-plugin-New-Users-Role.html
I’m hoping to, if the current user has a particular role, then to add a Secure Invites button at the top of each of these pages that lets the current user invite people into that particular role. Maybe a simple URL param could flag the initial role.
I’m creating an backend-heavy site and I want people in a particular role to be able to invite other people into that same role.

]]>Hi,
Thanks for the great plugin. I have a question though, I don’t see any po or mo files in the plugin file. Is there a way that I could translate some strings such as “name of person to invite”, “e-mail of person to invite”, “a personal message” etc to another language? Should I hack the php file? This is really important for my site.
Thanks,
?.

The invitations though is being delivered from the backend.

]]>Hi Chris, Hope everything is going well!
Two quick things I wanted to mention;
1. I found an interesting bug where invites sent via the short code form seem to ignore certain email address. When you have time, I can PM you the email’s that have failed and help you look into the issue however needed.
The basic behavior; when the invite is submitted, the page refreshes and no confirmation or error message displays and the invite does not send. The Admin area invite page however (Invite Friends), processes these trouble email address without problem.
2. This is a feature I thought would be really helpful to drive more signups. If an email reminder could be set to send X number of days before that users invite expires. So, 1 or 2 days prior to the invite expiration, the prospective member would receive an email that there time is running out to register.
Thanks for all your hard work on this and I know you’ve been busy so let me know what I can do to help!
Regards,
Carl

I would like to put a widdget on my sidebar that has a text field for the user to send an invite, and below saying “You have [x] invites remaining”.
Has anyone attempted to implement something like that using this plugin?
Any suggestions for achieving such functionality?
Is the only user-facing interface included in the plug-in in the user profile?

]]>I am using Secure invites with BuddyPress. I want to have a system where a user can invite only 10 members. With the settings it all works fine.
However, I have just found out that a user may bypass this security check which limits his number of invites by:
1) Invite 10 people
2) Delete his account with BuddyPress
3) Click on his invitation email and re- register
4) Start from step 1.
Is this a flawed feature or am I getting something wrong?
If it flawed, I request the plugin developers to ensure that the registration link to expire after registration.

]]>Hi Chris
Love the plug-nothing else like it. However, we’re very stuck and it’s holding up site development.
We are able to send email invite, take the invitee to the registration page. They fill out form, click submit..page loads…and nothing happens. They are still at the populated registration page (minus password). No error message at all.
Your help would be so appreciated!

‘Sorry, you must be invited to join this community.’
Do, i have to edit the php file for this plugin, or change something in wp-login file?

]]>Is there a possibility of adding the feature to limited the number of invites per user. The logic would be similar to GMail in its early days by only allowing a certain amount of invites to be sent within a certain amount of time. After a set amount of time has passed the user would be allowed to send more invites but never more than the defined maxiumn allow in a set period of time. Is this do able in future versions?

]]>I just installed your great plugin, but there is one thing thats missing for me.
I’d like to have a limit for the invitation thats per defined timeframe. Like 7 Invites per Week for each user.
I could add that myself, but that way I would not be able to update anymore. It would be great to see this feature in a future release.

]]>Hi Chris! This is a wonderful plugin. First of of all, I’d like to thank you so much for contributing it to the WP community.
Quick question… I know I can customize the body of the message. But I would also like to customize the subject line of the invite email. Currently, by default, it says something like:
[invited person], [name] has invited you to join [sitename]
(Well, there are no shortecodes for the above as far as as I can tell. It’s just my idea.)
Quite possibly I’m blind and unable to find the setting option someplace within the plugin… If so, could you advise where it is?
BTW, I am not a developer, and I would definitely be grateful for the ability to change it without any custom coding.
Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks,
Mark
