I have been using SMS text message for several years – obviously it is no longer supported by WP repository. Also I cannot find any contact information for the developer of it since the plugin site is directing to another website with no information about the plugin.
Anyway, the issue is that my client has been unsuccessful in sending out text messages for the last 2 days via this plugin that she has used the entire time. It says it is sent but it is never received. I have deactivated, activated, deleted and uploaded the plugin to try to get it to work to no avail.
So my question is – I have about 150 subscribers total in the system and am wondering how or if it is possible to replace the existing plugin with a new one that works and import the contacts into the new plugin.
Thinking about switching to WordPress Text Message.
Thoughts? Suggestions greatly welcomed.
Thanks

]]>Great plugin by the way, thank you. I am getting text messages without any problems from the specific Buddypress forum page ID I set in the plugin settings. However, the content and formatting is not quite what I’m looking for. Below is an example of how a text is shown after writing a topic to a particular BuddyPress forum:
My website title <email [email protected]>:<Subject: A new post has been created > – message has no content. subject: A new post has been created
The post title or its contents do not come through and it seems to repeat the subject twice. How can I get the post_title and post_content to come through? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

]]>When I try creating a scheduled backup with BackupBuddy, I get these errors:
Error scheduling: Error scheduling event with WordPress…Error #3488439b.
Error #874784. WordPress scheduled cron event not found…This may be caused by a conflicting plugin deleting the schedule or manual deletion.
The BackupBuddy Error Codes page says,
This means the built-in WordPress function wp_schedule_event() is returning false. The only thing that can cause that is another plugin or something filtering/blocking scheduling of events. So can try deactivating/disabling all other plugins and then see if it clears it up. If it does then one of them was conflicting and can reactivate the plugins one at a time to find which one causes it again.
I found that deactivating WordPress Text Message solved the problem. When I reactivated, the problem returned.

]]>I’ve manually set up several mobile numbers as subscribers and created a post, but apparently none have received a text message. I also tried using the manual text message send feature, saw it added to the queue, and then shortly thereafter disappearing from the queue, presumably after being sent. Still, no evidence that any of the subscribed phone numbers have received it.
So how to troubleshoot this? The site happens to be hosted by GoDaddy. Are there some settings I need to check on in my hosting account there?

]]>Haven’t been able to get this work. The sign up form using the shortcode does not write to the database. The only way to add subscribers therefore is one by one manually. The message is not received when it was sent, at least with my test messages. Time to look elsewhere for a plug-in that works.

]]>Hi, I can manually send out texts, but so far I have not been successful in getting the plugin to send a text when a specific page is edited. I have tried various configurations, but none worked for me. What I am trying to do is have a text sent to subscribers when one news page is updated. These updates are not separate posts, just additional information added to an existing page.
Here are my questions: In options, what is the correct page format that should be entered for Post IDs? Just the page name, i.e. members-area, or the actual path to the page? The second question is: After putting the page you want in Post IDs, do you still check the box that says “Send all subscribers SMS text message each time a new pages or posts are published or when posts are edited and republished”? I don’t want texts to go out for everything that is changes on the site, only when news is added to a specific page.
Thanks!

]]>Hiya
I am a UK user of this plugin, which means I’ve been updating the carriers’ table specifically for UK users.
However, when I used the shortcode on a sidebar to encourage visitors to subscribe via SMS. I gave it a go by putting in my phone number but it is only accepting 10 digits long phone numbers. So I tried dropping the 0 at the start and it didn’t works.
So, really, I need it to accept UK mobile numbers which are 11 digits long.

tags to the title…I’m not sure why.
Most other plugins ignore this but WordPress SMS does not. Since the ALL IN ONE SEO plugin is used by hundreds of thousands of wordpress users…could someone tell me what should be done to filter span tags out?

]]>Hello, I am curious if the plugin can be modified to act whenever some other item transpires.
Could it be made to send notices to subscribers for example whenever an event is posted with the plugin <a href=”https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/events-made-easy/” ?
Seems like an adjustment to the function mrt_sms_send_email($args) could get there but I don’t know enough about WordPress to know if an action in one plugin can trigger an event in another?
Your thoughts?
