Howdy, I’ve just switched to Worth the Read instead of another plugin I was using. The other plugin also displayed the word count, and although it’s not a deal breaker or necessary, I’m just curious if it’s possible with custom css or something to also display the word count with your plugin? (since the plugin must be using that data anyway to figure out the reading time anyway?)

Hello there,
Hi,
Your plugin is very useful for me, but I have a multilingual site and I can’t improve the translating, because the string “min read” it’s not recognize in the Polylang Pro’s strings list.
How can I resolve this issue?
Something related to redux-google-fonts-wtr_settings causes a Google Font CSS to be preloaded all over the site, even on pages not intended to show any plugin element. I think there is another ticket about that.
Is there any documentation or settings?
Hello, sorry for my English, I am French speaking using google translation… On my site, in the lessons I created via the lms tutor, I installed your pretty progress bar which I find brilliant. The only problem is that when we reach the end of the lesson the progress bar stops before… I have tried the different settings to fix this problem but it would be necessary to put a negative number ( I think) in the Offset content, which is currently not possible… Do you have a solution? Thank you in advance and again thank you also for your plugin.

Hello WordPress community,
I recently discovered an issue on my website (https://gadgetgalore.org) where a previously used MonsterInsights plug-in left behind broken images on most of my pages. I’ve since deleted the plug-in, but the broken images are still detected when I’m logged in as an admin.
Here’s a link to the broken image that appears on most pages: https://gadgetgalore.org/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/assets/images/monsterinsights-badge-light.svg
Since the image is part of the WP-content, you won’t be able to view it directly, but it’s the MonsterInsights badge that used to appear at the bottom of my site.
here is a screenshot I did:
https://gadgetgalore.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/broken-image.png
I’ve checked my Elementor footer and there’s no reference to the MonsterInsights plug-in there.
I’m not sure how it’s still being detected as if it’s present on my site even if I deleted the plugin weeks ago….
To make matters worse, my SEO crawling tool has identified this as a problem on hundreds of pages such as:
https://gadgetgalore.org/travel-and-outdoor/types-of-fish-finders
https://gadgetgalore.org/home-and-kitchen/smart-home-gadgets
and many many more… but I can’t see the image from the pages as a user…
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on how to completely remove all traces of this MonsterInsights plug-in from my entire site. I want to ensure that my site is free from any broken images or other issues that may negatively impact my SEO.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards, Mose
Hello,
Thank you for this great application.
I can’t seem to use the bar on the “product” pages of my site.
I have tried indicating the “slug” of the categories but it doesn’t work.
If you think it’s possible, thank you in advance for the answer.

This plugin was reported today as having a Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF). Would you please check into it so I can safely install it? You can read more about it here: https://ithemes.com/blog/wordpress-vulnerability-report-march-29-2023/

Unfortunately the latest update have resulted in the menu item jumping to the top of the admin menu. Before main items e.g. link to dashboard.
… with the positioning of the plugin since the last update.
I can understand moving it in the back-end from it’s original lowly position, to just below the posts or pages, but shoving it all the way up to the top and above the WP Dashboard is a little over the top IMHO.
Hey there,

Hi,
When Worth The Read is activated with LearnDash, the Focus Mode menu text seems to get removed.
I launched a staging site and disabled all other plugins and the main theme (Divi) so Twenty Twenty-Three is active and the issue persists.
The LearnDash menu that should show the profile link and course “home” link appears upon hover, but the text itself is missing.

With Worth The Read deactivated, all the menu items display properly, and the above element renders like this:
My Programs
No error appears in the logs or in the console.
Any idea what could cause this, or how to troubleshoot?

Hi guys,
I am trying to add the WTR bar to only specific pages and not posts.
I tried adding the slug for my about page in the link:

However, the progress bar still didn’t appear on the live page.
Hi there,
This morning I noticed an issue with the plugin. This is the first time that it’s happened in the several years I’ve had it active.
Essentially it’s causing. For example, if you visit any page on my website (https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/boot-styles-for-men/) with images, it shows strange code underneath some images:
[14 min read” data-jpibfi-src=”https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/7-Awesome-Boot-Styles-4-Men-Hero.jpg” >]
And in most instances it doesn’t show an image at all instead has all this code in place of the images:
[" data-medium-file="https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot.jpg" data-large-file="https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot.jpg" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-3767 size-full" src="https://gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot.jpg" alt="Thursday Plain-Toe Boots | GENTLEMAN WITHIN" width="1500" height="845" srcset="https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot.jpg 1500w, https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot-768x433.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" data-jpibfi-post-excerpt="" data-jpibfi-post-url="https://www.gentlemanwithin.com/boot-styles-for-men/" data-jpibfi-post-title="7 Boot Styles All Men Should Know (and How to Wear Them)14 min read" data-jpibfi-src="https://gentlemanwithin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Plain-Toe-Boot.jpg" >

When I disable the plugin, all of these issues go away.
Any ideas on what may be causing this or how it can be resolved as I would hate to have to permanently disable the plugin.
Thanks,
Khoi

As a workaround, if we return null on the line 402 of plugins/worth-the-read/options/inc/classes/class-redux-functions-ex.php, it works, apparently well.
This is a regression. We previously ran version 1.7, where this problem was not present.

Hey guys,
I use a plugin called Recencio Book Reviews. I can’t figure out how, or if I’m able to to use Worth the Read with this plugin.
Recencio effectively creates a secondary posts area (Reviews) so that’s why it’s not recognising the content I guess.
Can you help with this at all?
Thanks.
Hi, first of all, thank you so much for this plugin, it’s really great and exactly what I was looking for.
I have a couple of issues (might not be an issue, might just be me). I can’t seem to get the Reading time to display on my Posts (Blog) page.
Screenshot of this is here:
https://happydistraction.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/reading-time-1.png
Is there a way to insert the x minutes to read beside the title of the blog post on the posts page? I can set it so that it appears on pages, however, it still missed this one out.
It displays on the post page absolutely fine:
https://happydistraction.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/readingtime-2.png
Secondly is there a way to move the progress bar to where I’ve highlighted in the below screenshot, and have it so it stays fixed there, and will start to fill in once scrolling past that point?
https://happydistraction.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/readingtime3.png
I guess this is the offset setting? Just can’t seem to get that right.
Figured that bit out, thanks!
Thanks in advance!

I have custom post types without a content area. I think it is because of that that the read time is always 1 Minute and the progress bar is not shown.

thanks a lot.
