I am using this plugin for years and it is great. No problems even when I deactivate it for research reasons and activate it again.
My wish is that passkeys are integrated in the free versions. Plugins which add this function to the website do not work well together with this one here in my experience.

Very nice plugin with many settings. I also had to contact support via email (because of something I did incorrectly, as it turned out). Support response was very fast with detailed troubleshooting solutions, and friendly. Thank you

I haven’t had one problem on any of the sites I have installed the free version on. Technical support is swift and friendly. Overall very impressed with the plugin.

it works great and support was prompt in helping me sort out some wording customizations.

After researching several 2FA plugins, we chose this one based on strong recommendations and its extensive range of customisable features, including role-specific 2FA methods and custom email templates. We encountered a minor performance issue due to an edge case involving a specific combination of plugins on our site, but the support team was excellent and resolved the issue promptly.

The application is complete with lot of option and services for 2FA.
The Entreprise Plan allows you to customize even the smallest dialog boxes and translate them.
The support is kind and speed to answer your questions and solve your problems.

I have used this plugin for several customers. After a conflict with another plugin arose, this was addressed and resolved very quickly.

Started out with the free version, then switched to the paid version to get the “remember me on this device” option. A great improvement.
Discovered a weird problem that occurred occasionally. It didn’t affect real users, only hackers ??
I am working with them to try and figure it out. Support is great.

After seeing a lot of hacked WordPress websites recently I came to the conslusion that every WordPress installation should have 2FA. Since this is not part of WordPress core, I was looking for a plugin that offers a good user experience and enough configuration options to become my new default plugin for that pupose.
What I like about this plugin is

I was searching for a simple 2FA plugin and found this. I was able to set it up fsirly quickly. I linked it to my Microsoft Authenticator. The plugin works fine. I did find a small conflict but support resolved quickly. The support was responsive and courteous. Over all, I would recommend this plugin to those that are in search of this type for their system needs.

Made an account just to post this. None of the settings in the backend actually do anything. The plugin just does what it wants, directly ignoring what Ive put into the plugin options. Users are getting locked out of accounts, even though I explicitly said that this should not happen. Now we update the plugin and it crashes our entire installation. We literally paid money for the pro version. Such a waste of our time.

Pretty short and simple. Spent some time figuring out how to set this up correctly without locking myself out (there’s almost no documentation that I can find except for marketing videos / articles that don’t actually explain how to correctly set it up).
I ended up setting my 2FA to link to Microsoft Authenticator. Thought I was good to go. Log out of my account and log back in to test, where I enter my code and I’m redirected to domain.tld/wp-login.php?action=validate_2fa. This is a white screen that doesn’t load anything.
I open up the network tab in developer tools and see I get a 402 – Payment required error. Don’t waste your time with this plugin — now I have to go and SSH in and restore from backup.
Edit: I was able to remove this plugin via SSH by going to my plugins folder and simply deleting the plugin. I didn’t have to restore my database. I then found the “Wordfence Login Security” plugin — this was much more straightforward and didn’t require payment. I got that installed and working in under ~3 minutes.

The plugin allows 2FA with an app and/or with email. We chose the app variant. The setup is self explainable and everybody from my team could do it. It works reliable and without any problems even as the free version. First I had another plugin that interfered with 2FA, but the support was great and helped finding the problem. Very recommended!

If a site name is Bill’s Diner then the email subject ends up as “Your login confirmation code for Bill's Diner”. I’m having this issue on any sites with apostrophes and it makes the email look a little broken and unprofessional to the client. Is it possible this might be fixed in the future? No other plugin which sends emails has had this issue for me.

Rarely do we see plugins go down in price over time but with their recent change to licensing we’re getting more for less in 2024. Robert has provided excellent support and we are very happy with this plugin overall.

Using this plugin for years.
I have more than 50 active plugins and W2fa working fine with all of them.
No errors and I`m getting frequency updates.
I used the support team once and I was very happy with the results ( they found the issue was on my side )

Great plugin. But it must be added to documentation how to setup 2FA via user profile.
And would be great to add something link inside plugin which lead to User Profile, so plugin menu will be:
->2FA Policies
->Settings
->Setup 2FA on User Profile Page
because when I checked each possible setting in plugin and did not find how to setup – I decided it does not work at all!

Wow this one did not work well at all. I turned on 2FA to be effective immediately. My site logged out and I couldn’t get in because I didn’t have a 2FA. It never popped up the QR code. It never gave backup codes. On the login page it gave directions to click a reset button, but no button was present. I had to actually do a site restore to get my site access back. Luckily I back up before deploying any new plugins. They really need to set this one up better.

If 2FA can ever be decribed as painless, this is it, easy to set up, even my users can understand (with a bit of help) and the support response is great.
I’ve tested this with Authy, Microsoft Authenticator and email.

Why to pay for a 2FA plugin, when there are free alternatives, you might ask?
I choose to support the premium solution of the 2FA plugin for Melapress, because I much appreciate on how clean and lightweight this plugin is. By supporting it, I also believe that the plugin will be continued to develop for the long haul, while keeping it high performing.
I can set very tight security policies as well using only 2FA app and backup codes, as I don’t trust that an email based 2FA is so secure. I then can see neatly all users who have taken these policies to use, and enforce them, if needed.
Security is to me one of my highest priorities, and I can rest assured that the 2FA needs are taken care of with this solution.
