I am trying to embed an Action Network action on my site but when I copy and paste the given embed code into the plugin and hit “Add Action” I always get an error message that says “This does not seem to be a valid Action Network embed code.” I haven’t made any changes to the embed code and all of the style settings are set to the default settings. All of my plugins are up to date and I have used this plugin without issues on other pages I have managed in the past.
Has something changed, or is there something I need to do to the embed code to make it work with the plugin?
Thanks in advance!
Hi there,
We manually added 6 events and then synced my organisations API key to your plugin on wordpress to sync the remmaining 20 events. The 26 events from my AN appear in the ‘action network’ toolbar of my wordpress site but are not appearing on the website itself. I’ve copied in the events page url above.
There should be 26 events in total.
Any help gratefully received,
many thanks,
Lachlan
Hey team, trying to use more than one embed in a page doesn’t appear to work. Documentation supports it, simply noting that we cannot by default use two of the same embed on the same page.
We will certainly want at least a mailing-list subscribe and a donate embed together, and likely 3 or 4 embeds together on certain pages. Hoping there is a way to fix this as otherwise we will be struggling!
Kind regards,
Tom
Hi, I’ve been using the Action Network Plugin to list all upcoming events on our website, but recently it stopped syncing and adding new events. We tried updating the Full API sync but it did not update or refresh. Also, you can see in the screenshot that Full API sync has stopped since 9/28/2022.
We asked ActionNetwork about this and all the said was to contact the Plugin developer.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Is there any way to include ticketed events alongside non-ticketed events on the Action Network calendar list widget?
Hi there,
our action displayed here
https://www.blockadeaustralia.com/action/
included on the page using shortcode
[actionnetwork id=1]
Was displaying fine, now is showing this error, not displaying action
Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in …/wp-content/plugins/wp-action-network/actionnetwork.php on line 609
We changed the dates of the action. Have hit ‘full API sync’ didn’t fix. I don’t think any plugins or wordpress have been updated to cause it to break…
Any clues for troubleshooting?
Although this plugin used to be working fine, now when I try to import a new action I get the error “This does not seem to be a valid Action Network embed code.” The embed code is this:

Possible to add additional fields to the Action Network sign-up widget? Looking to add Org and Mobile.
Great plugin. Thanks for developing and maintaining.
Hi,
First, love this plug-in, thank you for developing it!
I’m having an issue where 80% of the AN embedded forms are showing up when logged in to a site as an admin, but not appearing for generic visitors.
It appears that it may be the forms using shortcodes appear and the forms using embedded scripts do not (I’m still troubleshooting).
Is there any known conflict between the plug-in and being able to use embedded scripts? Or any other problem to anticipate with splitting between both shortcodes and embeds?
We are using the plugin primarily to import events and display them on an events page. We had been using it for quite a while but one of our editors didn’t understand we were using the plugin and edited the page so for a while it wasn’t being used.
I redid the the page with the new widget but the plugin isn’t automatically updating. If I click on the “Full API Sync” button on the dashboard page it updates without a problem but it would be nice if it would update automatically like it was before.
Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
Thanks
“hCaptcha has failed to initialize. Please see the developer tools console for more information.”
There is no way to opt out of using hcaptcha. But when I go to try and subscribe through the settings link to hcaptcha I get this page, which I don’t know what to do with. There is no option for ‘I just want the free keys to tell this error message to go away.’
Hi,
I am using the Action Network Signup widget on a few pages. When I test it to see what happens when a user submits their info, the page just appears to reload. There is no indication that the submission was successful.
Should there be a “thank you” sort of message coming up, or it is possible to create one? I see no options in the Settings. I can’t find any details on creating custom thank you pages, although this is listed as a function in the plugin.
Thanks for any help!
Hi, I activated this plugin to display ActionNetwork events on our website, but when I input the API that was generated for us via our ActionNetwork account, no actions appear in the plugin. Any tips? Any steps I’m missing? Thanks!
Greetings,
I am a Action Network Partner and have a WordPress website. Currently I post to both action network and wordpress the same content. Is there a way that I can post to one and it’s connected so that the content is both on the action network and the website?
Hello,
We have been using this plugin for a while without any issue. Recently we updated WordPress as well as some plugins which were significantly out of date. Somewhere along the line the plugin has seemingly stopped syncing for any child site on our multisite network (whether it is activated on its own or network activated). We have different API keys for each subsite, and this has worked in the past — but I’m a bit lost as to why it’s working fine on the parent site and only the children seem effected (same theme, same settings, etc)
The sync button itself is disabled and says that the process queue is running all the time (when it’s clearly not). Even removing the disabled flag so I can click the button does nothing (although it gives a notification that the sync has started, but nothing else).
I see no console errors or anything either.
Hi we’re using your plugin to display all our Action Network events using this shortcode
[actionnetwork_calendar]
Its very useful, because the map listing that action network displays isn’t that great by itself, its nice to see all the events listed chronologically.
But many of our events won’t display on the plugins event listing.
I believe the issue is that the events added through the ‘Event Campaign’ by the public, but ‘sponsored’ by our Action Network (is that the correct lingo?) aren’t displaying
https://actionnetwork.org/events/1a3dd26ebebb64b5cbb67b85f94f95f9a7dc3bb1/edit
Its important for us to utilise the ‘Event Campaign’ feature but also list all our events.
Have you got any ideas how we could modify this query to show all the events associated with the Action Network account?
Hey! Great plugin. Is it possible to use more than one API key from Action Network? I work with a multi-location organization and we’ll need to display events across 8 regions.
Hi,
Would it be possible to add custom action hooks to your plugin every time an AN action is added/updated/removed? I’d be willing to submit a patch but I’m not quite sure how to do this.
My use case is that I’d like to automatically create a post with the shortcode prefilled every time the plugin pulls in a new event action.
Thanks!

Hello,
We’ve been using this plugin for several months now on a non-profit site. It works nicely, but the client just pointed out to me that they are getting tons of spam email sign-ups for their newsletter since we launched their new site.
They didn’t have this problem on their old site that used the old ActionNetwork forms. So I started poking around to figure out why. What I found is it doesn’t appear that there is any kind of spam filtering available for the newsletter subscription widget. I’m hoping that I am just missing something obvious. Please tell me how we can filter the spammers while using this plugin.
Thank you!

I am trying to add an action using embed code that is without styles, or with layout only styles. I get an error message that says “This does not seem to be a valid Action Network embed code”
It is valid embed code, and only happens when I select to strip the code of styles. I can send screenshots if it’s helpful.
Here are some sample embed code snippets that are not working. The first is a fundraiser with “layout styles only” selected under options:
<div id=’can-fundraising-area-donate-to-safer-chemicals-healthy-families-2′ style=’width: 100%’><!– this div is the target for our HTML insertion –>

The second is “no styles” selected in Action Network:
<div id=’can-fundraising-area-donate-to-safer-chemicals-healthy-families-2′ style=’width: 100%’><!– this div is the target for our HTML insertion –>

Thank you for your help with this!

Hi There,
I was excited to find your plugin, but have found a series of issues with the email sign-up form. It appears that it cannot be connected to a particular form that already exists? And while my test sign-ups have worked, there is no way to track or send a welcome email if it’s not connected to a particular form.
In addition, the AJAX option to load the thank you text without reloading the page does not work, an error message appears. So without that option when it does reload the page the user is moved back to the top of the homepage. It’s a very confusing user experience. Plus the thank you text, doesn’t replace the form it is above it and the form remains filled it.
Can you please advise me when you’ll be updating the plugin? Specifically the issues I’ve cited.
Thanks!
