Hello!
THX for this useful plugin.
Unfortunately, the dashboard widget isn’t display for superadmin (multisite).
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for support!
Andreas
]]>This is a great simple plugin perfect for what I needed except that it lacks private messaging. It would be great if users can message between themselves, or at least make one way private communication between admin-writers.
]]>Hello and thanks for a useful plugin. Here are links to translation files for Swedish. You are very welcome to include them in Your package:
]]>How to add a microblog on some page (not for admin but for other users ?) Is is possible ?
]]>We have a very large userbase and this plugin is used like a meta forum for our platform.
Is it possible to add a feature that restricts specific posts to users on specific roles?
To explain this, we have 3 high ranked roles:
Administrator
Moderator
Editor
Whenever they make a post, is it possible to add a checkbox with something like “Restrict post” and if it is ticked, the post is only visible to users on these roles?
This way, admins can have internal discussions that are not visible to normal users.
Not sure if you find this addition interesting but it would definitely make this already powerful plugin better. Please let me know if I explained this correctly.
]]>I received the following from one of my users:
I seem to have come across another issue, though It might just be me. Whenever I refresh the page, it asks me to confirm page resubmission or something of the sort and the last post I posted gets deleted and reposted. I tried it again and this time my post was completely erased.
The steps he took as to post a reply, then refresh the page, the dialogue box appears, he clicks OK and then it behaves like that.
I tried this myself. I was not able to replicate it at this very minute, but I have come across similar problem before. Although then, I refreshed the page after an hour or so (to check for new messages). Does that make any difference?
I know this is a vague bug report but I thought I would send it through anyway if it helps to further improve this plugin.
]]>We have used this plugin for almost two years now and we have had numerous reports about it not working on various devices.
I will list some of them here.
When you hover your cursor over a post, the Reply/Edit etc row appears (div class “wpam-row-actions”). I suppose it is a jQuery effect to make it show/hide? The problem with this effect is that it is not working on all devices. Not all users provided their browser and respective versions, but for example, I can confirm that it does not work on Safari for iPad. I could make it work on Firefox for Android but it was a bit clumsy. So most touch screen devices are problematic, but there seem to be other browsers that is experiencing issues with this. I personally suspect Internet Explorer (the devil), like IE7 and IE8.
Another issue we had a report about just recently. The user used browser Internet Explorer 9, and the OS was Windows 7.
I will quote this user:
When I click the “Reply” link, I get a text box. At the bottom, there are two buttons: “Submit Query” and “Cancel”. When I click the Submit Query button, it “depresses” but then nothing changes on the screen. Refreshing at that point re-loads the page with no text box or reply. Everything seems to work until that point.
Just thought I would share this with you. If you ever have any interest to improve browse compatibility for this plugin, this would be a good area to start.
]]>Hi Michael,
Is it possible to change the ordering of how the entries are displayed? Currently they are displayed with the latest entry at the top.
Is it possible to change the order to the latest entry that received a reply comment?
So basically, the ordering will reflect on the activity rather than latest main entry. Whenever a reply is added to an entry, that entry goes to the top.
Is such thing possible? We have had requests about this from many of our users.
]]>There is one bug, or design fault if you may. If a user posts an entry, and then refreshes the page after a great while, the entry is reposted. I am not certain, but I believe that there is something in place to stop reposts like this, but I am guessing that it is time based. Is there any way to improve this so that users cannot repost the same entry by refreshing the page regardless of how long it has been?
My users use this as an Editor message board, and there are A LOT of entries daily, so users refresh the the page continuously to see if they receive replies, which is why this issue happens daily.
I hope the plugin author is around. Thank you kindly for your time.
]]>Just a thank you to the plugin author for still updating and maintaining this great plugin!
]]>Hello, Love your plugin very helpful! I am having an issue with one of my sites though. For some reason when I post a new comment its not sending an email to me or anyone I listed. PLease help! Thanks!

]]>Hi – how would one go about adding the ability to display code within the microblog, I want to use it for little development notes and include ` tags, ideally using SyntaxHighlighter. I tried a couple of tags but they all came out as literal strings.
]]>My users have continuously reported that there is an issue with this plugin. When posting slightly longer messages, they receive this error:
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.
I tested this myself and it seem to happen when replying to an entry if the reply is lengthy.
I have done some research and it appears that this plugin is abusing GET. Is there any way we can use POST to deliver the data? Please read more about this issue here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2891574/how-do-i-resolve-a-http-414-request-uri-too-long-error
It would be very helpful if you could update this great plugin so that we can continue using it. If you decide to perform an update, can you kindly reply with what exactly you updated with, so that I can add the modification manually.

]]>When a user replies, they can simply refresh the page afterwards and it will repost their reply. I believe the URL contains the code that does this. I noticed this issue when A user made 50 reposts of the same post.
The reason of why my website benefits from reloads is because it is highly trafficked, I have over 300 authors that is using your plugin… I hope you understand why this is an issue in this scenario.
Nonetheless, cheers for the plugin, very handy for us.

]]>I have a Multisite install of wordpress.
I first used Microblog only on one of my sites (say it is called “site1”) – without any problems.
Then I thought it is a good idea to have the microblog for every site.
So I deactivated it at site1 and then network activated it for the whole multisite install.
Now I can use it at site1 – including all the blog entries which I have made before.
But I cannot use it on any other site: The entries I make simply disappear.
Looking into the database I found out, that only the _admin_blog_meta table exists for sites where I tried to create a blog entry. But none of the other three tables necessary for WP Admin Microblog.
Workaround: When I create the missing tables by hand I can use the Microblog.
So, Michael: Is there an easy way to adopt the plugin so it works without problems on a multisite install? I do not want to create the tables all by hand for each site … or: Is this a problem with WP 3.3.2?
Thank you for this otherwise great plugin!!!

]]>Editing in the Microblog page: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-admin-microblog/wp-admin-microblog.php
doesn’t work. Editing in the dashboard works though.
Getting the error:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/admin.php on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

]]>I moved my site as well as changed database prefix.
Now there are no post list entries in the Microblog except the number of entries and tags. Everything else is blank including name of user. Only avatar shows up.. and tags. When I add a post, nothing happens.
The dashboard lists older posts but no new posts show up.
How can I fix this or fix the ‘configuration’?

]]>When I submit a post on the microblog, it immediately says the post has been posted 6 hours ago. This happens every time I post something on the microblog.
Could this be fixed?
Thanks!

]]>I really like this plugin, but the widget won’t show up on the dashboard for other users. It only seems to work for me (an administrator).
I have another question: Is there a way to change the settings of this plugin? I, for instance, don’t want the ‘as WordPress blog post’ to show up, as it may mess up things for users.
