If a user comments and forgets to select or fill-up the custom field, it redirects the error msg to a new page.

Can you please display the error in same page instead to go to new page?

Is there a way, either in the javascript code or the php code, to add a maxlength value to the comment field? I would like to limit the comment field to a certain number of characters.

On my client’s website we use Advanced Comment (PRO) and our query monitor is picking up warning from the plugin. I was hoping you could tell me what is causing these errors and how I can fix them if possible. There are three warning I only get when I access the wordpress backend:

so… don’t use if you;re using Pods.

Can we style a custom comment type on a custom post type with page builders like Visual Composer or Beaver Builder, and with form builders like Gravity Forms?

If so, can we use the page builder or form builder on more than one kind of custom comment type without running into any conflicts?

Also, can we place more than one kind of custom comment type in the same custom post type?

I’ve been trying it for hours now, but can’t get it done to translate “Leave a Reply” and the sentence “Your email address will not be published. Required fields are marked”.

Adjusted the .pot file doesn’t change thing.
Translating using Loco Translater or any other plugin doesn’t do the trick eather.

Does anyone have a detailed turorial how to translate these 2 strings?

Could you tell me if it supports any points plugin like MyCred for commenting and rating?

I’d like to edit the default wording int the published comment area. Specifically I’d like to change two things: removing the “said :” after the author name in each comment and, at the top of the comment list, changing “1 Comment on [Post Name]” to read “1 position(s) available on the Job Board”. Any ideas where I find that bit of code?

I’m trying to change the default wording within the posted comments. For instance, if you have one comment, at the top of the comments it reads “1 Comment on [post title]”, but I want to change that to (for example) “1 entry on the post” or “2 entries on the post” (removing the post title).

I found the code to change in comment-template.php but my changes were not displayed on the post page. Is there something in this plugin stopping my changes from taking effect?

I’d also like to edit out the “said :” at the top of each comment, but I imagine it will have similar results. How can I fix this?

I’ve struggled with the WP comments not showing up and no one helping me address the issue so I installed this plugin. It works great and I have it on the posts I want it on; however, there is a huge space between the article and where people leave comments, which may hinder people from leaving comments if they don’t scroll all the way to the bottom of the page before leaving the article. Is there a way to bring the comments up to be directly under the article instead of all the way at the bottom of the page?

I’m wondering if I could just create 1 comment form and add it to the template of a custom post type via shortcode and the comments would be unique for each single post of that custom post type? I simply need the plugin for a more advanced comment form for a custom post type

Is there a way to:

1. have each user comment only once?

2. hide the form after active user commented, in other words have it display only for users who have not yet commented?

Not sure what is going on, but the comments do not appear at all on pages.

Can you help? I see your image has short codes in it, I presume thats to add to the PAGES, correct? Well, the plugin I just downloaded doesnt have that short code column..

So you saying we need to pay $30 just to have the short code so your free plugin works on pages?

I would like to purchase the plugin but I need to know if it’s possible to have a karma field for each user, affected by the like/dislike comments button or at least to make it custom in an easy way. Also if it would be possible to show in the comments other user fields that they have in their profile.

I found this plugin create this karma field, I don′t know f it would be possible to mix it with your plugin in case you don’t have it implemented. Thank you.

Hey where can I find documentation/intructions for WP Advanced Comments plugin?

I’d like to have multiple comment fields on some of my page where each comment field is independent and unique from the others. Right now, multiple fields are not unique as they auto-populate from any comments made in other fields on the page.

Will this plugin accomplish what I need?

if you leave a comment here and then submit your comment, it will show that your comment has been successfully published. and you have to refresh the page to see your comment…

But after refreshing the page, i didnt see any comment. Also at the Backend. No comments are there!
Please, need your help.

I’m looking to alter some of the wording in the form copy. Since your plugin does not allow for this level of modification, I tried making a child page of “shortcodes/commentform.php” which did nothing useful to the website. Apparently it’s an unused file, since shortcodes are no longer supported. So that leads me to two questions:

1. Does this plugin support child pages at all?
2. What file to I need to modify to replace “Leave a Reply” with the comment form title (taken from each custom form’s title) on my post page?
