This is a smart way to add Amazon Affiliate ads to a blog post. The only problem I found was that the remove “powered by” did not work. But I didn’t think that was enough to give it 4 stars. It’s also nice to have the option to donate to the plugin via a percentage of the affiliate links that will use the author’s id. I do hope this plugin continues to be updated as time goes by.

I have been using this since about last July/August 2013.
As the other reviewer pointed out, if your not familiar with adding code to php files in your child theme, you will need to understand how to do that first. It’s not hard to set this plugin up and it is still working in wp 3.8.
My only thought with this addon is that I’d like to know if it’s actually working. Since I can’t test buy something from Amazon, I have no idea if the plugin is actually working, nor do I know if anyone actually clicks on the ads, so I’d love to see some kind of counter inside the admin to at least know what’s up, but otherwise, this addon is nice and is the only affiliate addon I found still working for posts and pages on wordpress.
As a side note here, if you change your theme (like I just did) you will have to add the line to the php file again, so this is a reminder that you’ll want to be sure and remember that about this plugin. If your theme has an update it will also need to be fixed in the child theme.
Edited to note the update of versions, still works as of 4.2.2

It’s a little hard to figure out first due to the thread you need to insert in the loop and the need to familiarize yourself with the custom fields of WordPress (I’ve never need to use that feature until now), but it’s pretty awesome once you figure it out. The fact you can edit the look of your Amazon box is pretty cool. Message for the developer: I left 5% commission for you. Each of my contributors receive 50%, me 45%, and the developer 5% when another author on my site makes a commission. Otherwise, it’s 95% for me and 5% for the developer. Cool stuff.
