Do you think your plugin can do the job? Thank you !
]]>Hello,

]]>Hi team,
WordPress has ‘retired’ some older jQuery versions in their 5.5 update, which causes previously deprecated functions to no longer work. We’ve installed the ‘Enable jQuery Migrate Helper’ which includes those older jQuery scripts again, but according to WordPress this plugin won’t work from WP5.6 onwards.
Your plugin is raising a warning that jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated in the file wp-backitup-admin.min.js, which would cause the plugin to no longer work without the helper plugin. Do you have a timeline in which you will update this script (and maybe others) so they’ll be using the newer jQuery methods?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Vivienne

]]>So, I was reading your article at:
https://www.wpbackitup.com/blog/manually-restore-wordpress-plugins-themes-media-files
And you don’t seem to describe how to restore the database. I was wondering why that is? Can you explain?
So then I thought I would check if the plugin actually does backup the db by reading your description at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-backitup/
(Maybe it does not backup the db and that is why you do not describe it in your manual restore article)
I found it interesting that there was no mention of the database being backed up in the first paragraphs. So I searched for “database” in the page and found:
Complete backup, includes database, plugins, themes, uploads, media files, everything
later down the page.
But ok so the plugin does backup the db but why not mention the restore of the db in your manual restore article?
And come to think of it, if as you say the plugin backs up “everything” why not have an article that describes how to restore everything. Why would you limit it to
Plugins, Themes, and Media Files since this is not a full restore?
To be more clear, I dont see the point of writing an article about how to do a partial restore since that does not lead to a functioning restored web site….
]]>Hi there – Presale question:
I have a massive WordPress site I would like to migrate.
(25Giga uploads folder + 500MB DB).
My questions are:
1:Can the premium version handle this size?
2:Are there any special procedures I need to take? (or the premium version alone is sufficient)
3:Does the premium version support any type of hosting? (Shared hosting).
Thanks

Does WP Backitup work with PHP 7.2 or 7.3? I want to update but get 18 warnings with PHP Compatibility Checker.
These are the most common warnings:
268 | WARNING | Function create_function() is deprecated since PHP 7.2; Use an anonymous function instead
4 | WARNING | INI directive ‘safe_mode’ is deprecated since PHP 5.3 and removed since PHP 5.4
188 | WARNING | INI directive ‘sql.safe_mode’ is removed since PHP 7.2
I’m currently running PHP 7.0 and don’t want to break anything by updating.

Even restoring a backup doesn’t bring the quizzes back. I have various copies of databases backup, but I am not an expert in recovering data from a database. By just copying the entire Wp-Pro-Quiz from various backup did not bring back the quizzes. Any way you software WPBackItUp can extract tables from a SQL file backup and then I can insert them in the current database?

Error: (2122) Unable to backup your uploads. Please try again
I changed settings, increased the time-out to 3 mins and ZIP file size to 1G, but that did not make any difference. The batch size for uploads, I set at 50,000 when I first installed the plugin and has been set at that since.
All worked fine before, but suddently this error keeps repeating.
I set the plugin to generate a log file, before I retried backups. It has been several retries and the log file is not generated.
What can be done about this?
]]>This red exclamation icon is in the Admin Toolbar. On a cursor hover, it says “Backup has encountered errors!“.
I click the button and it takes me to the backup page where the backups are listed. Looking at the page there is nothing there that mentions or shows to be an error, everything appears good and normal listing successful backups.
As a note, I maintain 2 websites on the same hosting server, so if there was concern about a database or server issue, it likely is not because the 2nd website does not show the warning icon and all is good there.
Is this a glitch and everything is fine, or is there something wrong that is not showing and needs to be fixed?

]]>I am hoping to find some answers and clarification to some questions about this plugin.
Thus, I went to Settings > Advanced – Batch Size. I changed each value that was under 10,000 to 10,000. I am supposing the number refers to number of files??
Then I tried the backup again and this time the folders saved were not split like the default setting.
Q: Was this correct in what I did and what is the value limit that can be entered ti to the batch size boxes?
Q: Why does this plugin not save the root files of the WordPress install, such as “wp-config” and the htaccess file?

]]>Hi.
I just finished building a website. It took me 5 days working piecemeal. So I decided to download your plugin and backup my work.
Upon downloading, activating your plugin, using your defaults, I backed up my website.
After backing up my work – i discovered I could no longer upload media – images, PDF etc. I was getting generic 500 error messages.
So I began the process of troubleshooting that issue – I disabled all the plugins one by one – then all, then enabled them one at a time and the issue persisted. I checked the htaccess permissions. Nothing could solve that issue – which remains unresolved since using your plugin.
Upon troubleshooting that issue, I discovered that my root directory for houseforhomelessyouth.org, on my FTP SERVER was gone. In its place were a number of backitup folders given generic names. backup-1520266630-plugins
I managed to find my media library folder which WAS MOVED after using your plugin from houseforhomelessyouth.org/wp-content/uploads to a generic folder.
I have another 4 websites with wordpress on the same FTP – THIS IS THE FIRST TIME, I have encountered this issue.
I suspect the solution is a full reinstall, which means I have lost 5 days of work, but on the off chance, is there any guidance you can provide about restoring all the wordpress files into a parent directory?
Really disappointed to have to write this support ticket.

]]>Since November I can no longer do a backup with WPBackItUp. It’s constantly stuck on “Validating backup.” I once left the page online for several hours and still nothing moved. I have the latest version of WordPress. On the right side of the screen, I get “Congratulations! You have performed 4 successful backups.”, but I haven’t really because 3 of those were attempts which had to be stopped after several hours as it would not continue from “validating backup.” My first backup too about 10 minutes in October, but was not able to do another one since then.
Is there anything I can do? I sorely need to backup the site.
]]>I needed to migrate a site and found your software. From what I read I thought that your product would be the job
Boy was I wrong!!
Now I need to buy a premiere version of your software
I am not happy at all.
I will probably buy the premiere version
I will get the migration done and immediately request a refund
I have to wonder if the offer of a refund is false advertising also.
