Hello,
I made several tests and it seams like the plugin is not working with versions of WordPress above 6.0.
Any chance to update the plugin to make it work with the latest versions of WordPress ?
Thanks

Hi, I’ve set up my bing custom search and entered the info in the plugin as your documentation instructs. I know I have my custom search set up correctly because I’m able to test it with the javascript snippet that Microsoft provides. However, whenever I search using a themes native search I don’t get any results. I’ve tried on a default WordPress theme and on my chosen theme. Would you be able to assist me?
]]>Hello, the plugin stopped working after the new WordPress 5.6.2 update. I have deactivated the plugin at the moment to use the basic WordPress search feature. I am using the Hestia theme.
]]>Hey,
I’ve been using the plugin for a while now and have no issues with it’s functionality. My issues is mainly with the way that Microsoft limits the number of domains to 400 per instance, which sucks.
In order to try and get around this while still utilising the plugin and the Bing Custom Search service, I’ve been playing around with Piklist integrations whereby I can use multiple instances of custom search for a single search term. This, however, isn’t super user friendly for our users so I was wondering whether there was any way of merging the two (or possibly more) instances into one tab?
Thanks in advance for your help with this.

]]>I cannot get this plugin to work with my page. I currently am using the yada wiki plugin and want to have search results from each wiki page and an additional website of my choosing. Does this plugin not work with Yada Wiki? When I activate the plugin I get no search results, but will get them if bing plugin is deactivated. Can you help me solve this issue.

]]>I’ve noticed that when using this plugin, if a user enters an empty value into the Search box and hits Enter to run a search for no value (usually possible using Search bar in sidebar widget), the search reverts to an internal site search and returns all pages. Wouldn’t it be better if the search sticks to using Bing custom search instead of reverting but simply returns a warning stating “You must enter a value into the Search box” or something of the sort since an empty Bing search would obviously be undesirable?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
I’m really loving this plugin and find it very helpful for including Bing search on my site and seamlessly plugging in to the in-built search to be displayed as the theme, however i have one issue i’m hoping i can get some help with.
I would like to consolidate the local search (internal site search) and the Bing search (via plugin) so that only one search box is needed and the results show on a single page. Before delving into some custom coding, i was wondering if anyone had a standard way of doing this?
Currently, only Bing results show up when using the Search and i’ve had to introduce another search plugin for internal site search thereby having 2 searches…which is not ideal.
Also, i tried including the URL of our site in Bing custom search and “super boosting” it but that does nothing.
Thanks in advance.

Hi –
Is there a shortcode or other way to place the search text box in the body of a page?
We are using Google Custom Search right now and are planning to switch to another search engine tool. A requirement is to place the search box on the home page. This requirement is in addition to using the theme search box.
See link to the page for an example.
Thanks,
Virginia

is what I was getting at line 154 with each result that has a different domain than my current WP site: $bing = apply_filters( wp_bing_search_result_data_array, $bing );
It appears the quotes are missing from the filter tag “wp_bing_search_result_data_array”. This fixes the issue and no PHP notices are gone.
Please confirm this bug and include it in your next release.
Best,
Anand.
I’ve tried things like this:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[wpbsearch]’); ?>
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[wp-bing-search]’); ?>
But the first one does the normal search and the second one does nothing.
I also can’t find this plugin under Widgets.
What am I missing?

]]>Hi I have installed this plugin in wordpress default theme like – twentyseventeen and it’s working fine but I have installed the same plugin to other wordpress theme but it’s not working. I have tried it with 3-4 themes.
This plugin is working only wordpress default themes or it should work with other themes as well.
I am trying this with 2 days but still not getting any solution.

]]>Hi folks
When people search for our products they always omit the space within the product code and sometimes the desired product page does not come up as a result. E.G. searching for “X 77” people will just type “X77” and the result will show “X 77 S”. I know it doesn’t help that the product codes are so similar either.
Is there anything we could do to help this situation.
Kind regards
Mark
Hi,
Im having trouble with this plugin. Search results not showing. I have a blank white screen. Do i need to edit my search.php file?
Regards,
]]>Hi Steve,
we installed the plugin on our website and so far it’s working fine. However, the augosuggest function doesn’t seem to work correctly. Basically it stops suggesting search terms once you enter more than one word. You can try it on the url below, just enter a word like “tile grout” or “tile adhesive”.
We’d appreciate any help on this topic.
Thank you so much.
]]>Bing Search Results output specifies if the page is a PDF. Is there a way to display that detail on the local site? Either in the featured image space or as a prefix/suffix to the page title.
]]>The search results output on our local website is different than the actual Bing search results output, and the local display has undesirable results. The same pages are referenced, but the page description is corrupted by the detail and coding from sliders & menus. I understand that the plugin integrates some local site elements overlooked by Bing. In some cases this is a good thing (e.g., display of a featured image, stripping out the company name), but on pages with sliders & submenus, it corrupts the page description output. We have commented out the code that tells the plugin that it is looking at a local site, so now the plugin thinks it is displaying Bing output for an external site. Is there a way to tell the plugin to ignore just certain elements on a local webpage?
