After activation and installing Books Gallery. This is not working with Elementor 3.27.6, it is showing blank page. No error was reported in the log.

After adding some text to the gallery page for each book, the page now displays as a single column in desktop mode despite the number of columns being set to 4 as before. Change the no. of colums has no effect nor does playing with any of the layout settings. The page displayed perfectly before the edit.

Hello again, help!, the details of the book have suddenly disappeared. I put a link so you can see it, but it happens in every page book. Now the buttons are up. I don’t know what could have happened. Thanks in advance! ;D

Hello, I’m new here, I just became a pro, sorry if my question is very basic. I want the buy and download buttons to open on a new page, not on the same one, and I can’t find the option.

I provide a link to a page, so you can see the problem: it is never a good idea for navigation to lead you to leaving the website. I would prefer to open in a new tab. Can you help me?

Hi, Is there any issues with “Import Books Import API” at the moment. Tried to import 2 books of mine from Amazon (have 90 books to add) was sort of hoping the import feature from open library via api would work.

When I clicl import book get a message that “Info!?Books Already Imported!” but it has not imported.

Any tricks I need to know how to get this working?

Since the last update of the extension (4.6.7) now in the gallery there is an entry for the price of every books, even if the book is free (“$0” in green).

I am using the import from CSV plugin and populated the sample spreadsheet with a small sample of 8 books that I wanted to add. First time worked a treat but then I decided I wanted to make a small tweak to the name so deleted those books , amended the spreadsheet and tried again.

No luck , I got a message say “0 books imported successfully” and indeed there weren’t. I have not been able to work out why the books won’t now import

Hi, I just upgraded to basic to be able to post more books. I thought I would try changing some search settings and now all of the search functionality stopped working. (I was trying to replace title with “keyword” search since it is just placeholder text. I took out “keyword” and left it alone but it still doesn’t work.) I can send a screenshot of the search panel settings if that will help troubleshoot. (Also, I tried to chat but it’s broken.)

Hi – I’m getting this error when adding a book category shortcode “No books found. Please add one.” There are about 8 books in the category and they appear fine when I use the [wp_books_gallery] shortcode. Could it be because I’m using the free version right now?

Hi, newbie question here. I’ve started using this morning and upgraded to premium version – everything looks great except for one major problem: my book covers are not displaying in the main view.

I have set them as featured image and they show when click through for product detail, but I’m just getting the default red My Book Cover on gallery view/ front page. Obviously this is pretty important – would appreciate any help!

Since I started using this plugin, it has been great. Also members of our writers club love it.

Recently I noticed that the link from the gallery page to display a member’s book does not work. The link to Amazon, or anywhere it is sold does work. I made sure everything is up to date – WP, Theme and all plugins. Nothing seems to help.

The text highlight on the book title changes showing it is a link, but it does not try to open a page.

Please advise.

Hello, I’m creating a book gallery for a client and they said there needs to be a text disclaimer at the bottom of the gallery page that says:

“As an Amazon Associate, we earn commission from qualifying purchases”

I know I can create a new page and use a shortcode, and place the disclaimer below the shortcode; and that does work, but then the back button will take you to the “real” gallery page which does not have the disclaimer.

Is there a way to customize the gallery page itself?

Hi, love this plugin! I have a problem when books appear on page 2 of a gallery, the permalink on the Author name has /page/2 in it, so books by that author produces “nothing found” error. Any ideas?

In the free version of WBG plugin, it is not possible to assign a category to a book. I can create a categories, but it not visible in the Book liste. So the short code argument “category” in the call says “no book found”.

I have set my gallery details page several times to show the Book Gallery sidebar on the authors detail page, as checked in the Detail Settings page, but it seems to be overwritten by the actual wordpress theme sidebar.

I have managed to get it to show up a couple times, but the next day it is back to only showing the theme sidebar.

I would like both to show up in their purposeful places. How do I fix this.

I am using basic pro.

but when I click it it navigates to a page that does not exist. (https://www.bookabooka.com/book-author/)

I guess this only works when you use the new “authors” entity??
