Hi All
Love this plugin Simple but effective and supports shortcodes from other plugins
i am designing a page with full screen slides as adverts with the site content to be shown on a tv screen
so far i have hidden the coda-nav , coda-nav-left and right
i wish to make the contents centred on the screen at present they are slightly to the left just cant figure out which setting to change to centre the posts
Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way for the horizontal menu of the slider to become vertical. I would like to have the slider on the left of the page and on the right the vertical menu.
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to get jQuery-animations (mostly animate()) to play inside the slider? I have tried with one animation which works fine in the post but doesn’t work in the slider.
Is there any way to get the animation to play?
Hi there, i have seen numerous instructions for integrating the new liquid slider (a new version of the original coda slider) into a wordpress post template.
However, is there any way to upgrade this plugin to use the new liquid slider code?
I want to provide my own custom style. I followed the instructions:
Copy the coda-slider-3.0.css file and move it to your themes root directory and rename it to coda-slider.css. When outputting the CSS the plugin looks for this file. If not found the defualt css will be added.
This didn’t work. When I view my page, it is still reading the coda-slider-3.0.css file from the plugin directory, which I’ve confirmed via my developer toolbar. (I’ve tried clearing my cache, didn’t help.) Is there something else I need to do?
I just installed the latest version of the plugin (3.6.2). I am using WP version 3.5.1.
I had previously used this plugin on a different site and I used the meta boxes to configure the sliders I had on a page. Now, I don’t see the metaboxes using the lastest version. Where did they go? Am I restricted to only using the shortcode with arguments now?
Hello!
I got the plugin to work flawless. Thank you! Great work!
I do have a quick question, how can I choose the order of the posts? Currently they’re being displayed nu post-date. Is there a way to order them manually?
Thank you,
David
Hello, is it possible to show latest category post as per users are reading?
Installed plugin, ZERO directions on how to use it… I can appreciate someone taking the time to make this and offer it for free, but hotdiggitydamn at least tell people how to use it.
Can I choose which posts to display (like favorite posts)?
I want admin to have a possibility to define which posts to display in slider. Is it possible with this plugin in easy way?
Hi,
I’m using wp-coda slider 0.3.6.2 and WordPress 3.4.2, and when i use the shortcode (or template tag) in post’s or page’s body, the slider duplicates every post i have. Example:
<div class=”panel-container” style=”margin-left: -1087px; width: 2800px;”>

In my personal experience, i can see that 2 loops are running, but i can’t discover exacly which one is duplicating the content…
The code in the page template:
if(have_posts()): while(have_posts()): the_post();
the_content();
endwhile; endif; wp_reset_query();
the shortcode in the page body:
[wpcodaslider id=myslider cat=3 show=2 args=”autoSlide:true, dynamicTabs:false, autoSlide:true”]
This problem is theme independent…
Thanks!
The code for using template tags is incorrect. It is missing a closing ” on the class for this div… <div class="coda-slider preload id=" myslider">
It is also putting a space in front of the ID.
Thanks.

also, how does one use dynamic tabs with the template tag? Its not finding them automatically.
I’ve been trying to make the coda silver work for a week now and won’t seem to work. I’m sure I’m doing something stupid, beeing new with wordpress.
I want the coda silver to be displaying my posts, one at a time, the newest first, obviously. But when I put the code:
<?php if ( function_exists(‘c3m_wpcodaslider’) ) { c3m_wpcodaslider(‘myslider’, ’81’, ’10’, ‘autoHeight:true’);} ?>
I see the slider but only one post comes in. What am I doing wrong? Where do I put the blog loop?
I am trying to create links to each of my slides from a different page.
So, for example:
https://mysite.com/page/#3
should take me to my page with the third slide of my slideshow displayed. However, the page just loads with the first slide showing, no matter which slide I try to link to.
Any idea why this isn’t working?
I noticed that when I am clicking through my slideshow, the url doesn’t change in my address bar. Although when I hover over the tabs, I do see the appropriate link (with the hashtag and number) in the status bar at the bottom of my browser.
Hello, this is a nice plugin, however, i need to display featured image and title for posts.
Thanks!
Hi,
I recently updated my site with 3.4.2 and the latest wpcodaslider, and now any images inside of the slider don’t contain padding.
The images are using a special class called .staffphoto if that makes any difference.
Example can be found here:
https://dev.leportschools.com/who-we-are/
I’ve also lost the ability to retain a “#1” or “#2” for each slider so they can be linked to. How do I enable that. Thanks.
Hi, there aren’t any instructions about how to add images. Because you have “Category to get posts from” listed in the settings, I can guess that means we need to create a specific category for content. Took a wild guess and simply added a photo with caption inside the WSYIWYG editor.
Done that, but the result is just that the page just shows all of the images from the category – there’s no slider function at all:

Our settings:

Hope this feedback helps so you can include more complete instructions (and hopefully explain what’s going wrong!)
Been using this plugin for about a year now, and love its functionality.
However, on my latest project the current version of the plugin (0.3.6.2) never loads.
It shows up in the admin area, and I am able to setup the functionality I would like, but when the page is loaded, the JS never loads. jQuery loads, but the jquery.coda-slider-3.0 file or the jQuery easing never load.
I also have the following using jQuery
– google maps api
– curtain.js
– mediaelements.js
I’ve tried turning these off and it still doesn’t load.
However, if I install the plugin on a clean install using 2011 theme the plugin works as expected.
Thoughts?
I am using your latest version 0.3.6.2
I need the featured image for each post show in the slides. I’ve tried to add this using some code used on templates for this purpose but I’m not having any luck.
Can you either add this feature or/and tell me how to add this myself? I am using you slider on a client site and need this function for them to be able to manage the whole site themselves.
Thank you.

I have been using version 3.4 without issue. I never updated to 3.5 because I was not aware there was one. When I just tried to update to 3.6 the plugin would not activate and I received these errors:
Warning: require_once(/home/learn75/public_html/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-coda-slider/lib/coda-slider-options.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-coda-slider/wpcodaslider.php on line 16

I had a copy of 3.4 so I have downgraded to the last working version 3.4 and it works fine.
I then tried using the 3.5 version found on the developers page and I got this error and the site then fails to load at all:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class wpcodaslider in /home/username/public_html/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-coda-slider/lib/deprecated.php on line 70
So I have downgraded to 3.4 again and everything works fine. Please let me know what I can do to help you assist me in resolving this upgrade issue.

This is what is should look like:

I believe the WP Coda Slider was used to create this. I have deactivated and then reactivated the plug in. I have updated the plug in. I have delted it and the reinstalled it, but nothing has worked.
All suggestions and help are welcomed and appreciated. Any ideas on how to make this work again?
Hi,
I’ve been using WP coda slider and it’s been working fine until the latest update. (0.3.4)
Short code is still working fine though but template tag is struggling.
For example, previously I used below template tag to get it to work,
<?php if ( function_exists('c3m_wpcodaslider') ) {
c3m_wpcodaslider(
'myslider', '10', '3',
'autoSlide:true',
'autoSlideInterval: 9000',
'autoSlideStopWhenClicked: true'
);} ?>
Now it looks like there is a new template tag as below,
<?php if ( function_exists('c3m_slider') ) {
$args = array(
'id' => 'myslider',
'cat' => 10,
'show' => 1,
'slider_args' => array(
'autoHeight' => 'true',
'autoSlide' => 'true',
'autoSlideInterval' => '7000',
'autoSlideStopWhenClicked' => 'true',
'dynamicArrows' => 'true'
),
);
c3m_slider( $args );} ?>
Contents are showing but without the slider effect. Am I doing something wrong with the tag here?
Please enlighten me if I am doing wrong here….
I am currently using it in front of my website.
Thanks,
Hi there,
While using your plugin we noticed a different behavior when using the shortcode and the php method.
Looking into your script I saw hat you’re using different procedures to generate the markup in both cases, which is inherently wrong.
I went ahead and moved the code for generating the markup in a new method and after some other simple formatting we are now using this:
https://gist.github.com/1969952
Not much has changed but the markup is now the same for both methods.
after updating WP to 3.3.1 my coda slider code no longer works. I call it from a page template like this..

<?php c3m_wpcodaslider('myslider', '12', '12', 'dynamicArrows:false, dynamicTabsAlign:"left"');?>

The coda slider menu is correctly populated and the titles of the post are displayed, however none of the content of the posts are displayed.
Hi all,
I was hoping to be more contributory in my first post, well let’s see how this works out.
I’m currently porting a page to wordpress, this page made use of the Coda Slider 2.0. Now currently I’m just using the JS file of this plugin, the rest comes later as I’m in a little hurry here.
Now without thinking much I updated to WP 3.3, which is when the codaslider stopped working. Now as the theme still has a lot of rubbish, due to the porting I activated my old call to jQuery 1.4 and everything came back fine. As this it’s not the way it’s supposed to and my js skills are, well not existent, I’m posting here and see if somebody can point me into the right direction.
The page is located here https://bit.ly/uMOChE the call to jquery 1.4 is located on line 54 of the source. To to see the error just use Firebug a uncomment that line.
Thanks upfront for your assistance

How do you suggest getting the slider arrows on the side to move down beside the content and not stick up top with the title?
This plugin is not coded correctly for use with a HTTPS / SSL secure site. Uses an old convention or PHP variable to get to the plugins directory, and that old method only makes use of http: instead of https:
The fix — add this code to your “functions.php” file:
remove_action ('init', 'c3m_coda_scripts');
add_action ('init', 'c3m_coda_scripts_https_aware');
function c3m_coda_scripts_https_aware() {
wp_enqueue_script('coda_slider', plugins_url() . '/wp-coda-slider/js/coda.slider.js', array( 'jquery' ));
wp_enqueue_style('coda_slider_css', plugins_url() . '/wp-coda-slider/css/coda-slider-2.0.1.css');
wp_localize_script( 'coda_slider', 'Plugin_Url', array( 'plugin_url' => plugins_url() ) );
}
And that should fix it.

Hey there,
i’m just wondering if there’s an option in the current version to add the featured image of a post under the title in the tabbed navigation?
In the comments of this page https://wp-performance.com/wp-coda-slider/ i found the approximate description:
“It would require modifying the loop to include”

<?php the_featured_image(); ?>

Unfortunately i’m not very firm in PHP and can’t find out the section, where i have to do this… seems like the ul for the tabs are generated in the js-file.
I’d be very very thankful, if you could name me the document and the section where i have to modify the code, in case there aren’t any easier ways…
Sorry for my noobish question and thanks in advance fpr any answeres!!
