This looks to be exactly what I need, but is it still supported ?

Thanks!

]]>Helloo
Is it possible to use this to add a button to the front end of the site so users can self select whether they want the sweary or non-sweary version of a site? Thanks.
]]>This isn’t a bug and not a complaint, more of an FYI. I have a large filter list, built over many years from different sources. It includes text in several languages. I just copy/paste the text into the word field for this plugin. The total size is almost 250k. Unfortunately the list is loaded frequently by the plugin, so hits to the site are delayed and many are rejected.
I understand that this is probably just a fact of life, that more data requires more time to load and process. I’m just hoping that there’s some way that this plugin can be optimized to use a larger number of keywords. OR: It would help if it supports regex or another mechanism that would allow me to eliminate some common patterns and redundancies in my list.
Thanks!
]]>I have a recent comments plugin, and although your plugin does a GREAT job of filtering out bad words from comments, those words will still appear in the recent comments listing on my sidebar. Is there anything I can do about this?
Thanks!

]]>Is there a way, other than by putting strict filtering ON, to avoid the software breaking URLs with censored words in them?
Or perhaps an update could take into consideration IMG SCR, A HREF and so forth?
Strict filtering has the issue that it is then very easy for people to bypass the system by putting their swearing -inside- *other* #character# or embed then in absoflippinghuge silly words… ??

We’re on php 5.6 I believe in case that matters. Would be great if this was fixed.
]]>Hi!
The plugin works fine on my site – easy to setup, everything is fine. Thinking about going for PRO…
But one thing: My site is in german, so we have special characters like this:
? ? ü ? ? ü ?
I entered the word “?ndern” to the filter list but this did not work. Any idea how to get this done?
]]>Nice plugin but big flaw: if Word Rendering is set to either First letter retained or First/last retained then the plugin uses lowercase as its replacement letter regardless of the original content.
For example: “Porn star” becomes “p*** star”.
Deal-breaker for me – can this be fixed as the plugin has great potential.
Thanks!
]]>Hi!
Your plugin sounds great, so I’m interested if it could filter messages in BuddyPress also. I’d like to protect users from unwanted content so a filter would be perfect.
A dream come true would be a setting to filter depending on the type (userrole) of the user. So a userrole like “underage” would be filtered an other like “parents” are not.
Just an idea – hope you like it!
Best regards,
Jan
I am using customized wp theme. my site is https://www.onfoodie.com.
comments are not filtering out.

Great plugin. I have exclused hat but can’t exclude hat. or hat? . I tried putting in ‘ or ” or using / but didn’t work. Any ideas how exclude other characters?
Cheers
Tim
Hi,
Have you considered flagging problematic posts to the admin, or just store a flag in DB? As a custom tag, maybe.
Would be useful to know which posts contain bad words somewhere, so one can do more than just not showing them.
Alex
Hi,
I am using wp content filter with the classipress theme. The filter works perfectly on the ad title and on the ad description when the ad is clicked on and viewed, but when looking through the full ad listings of all the adverts placed, then the short description of the ad is not filtered.
What can I do to fix this.
Thanks
Sandra.
Hi David,
Great plugin with great features. However, I think it does not support Buddypress content (group names, comments… etc) as of yet. Is there any future plans to implement this feature?
Please let us know.
Thank you
]]>I tried out the plugin – it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. When I uninstall it, the words continue to be edited.
Do I need to remove entries from the SQL database or from functions.php? Pretty annoying to say the least.
]]>This plugin shows related posts below a post. WP Content Filter is filtering the href url that points to the other posts causing 404’s when following the links.
]]>Hello,
I’ve downloaded the latest version of the plugin. It installs and activates okay, but when I go to access the settings I get this message:
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
I have admin rights to the page, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks a lot,
David
I’m building a custom BuddyPress “front” user page and wanted to know if the plugin can be used while I loop through various comments and posts to be displayed to the user. Think foreach loops and WP_Queries. Is it possible there’s a function or way to enact the plugin in these various situations in a more “manual” way vs. the way the plugin works now? Hope i’m clear enough. Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi
I just installed your 2.43 update and it’s not registering in wordpress. I tried uploading twice, I refreshed my wordpress admin page several times but it still says that I have 2.42 installed and that a newer version is available.
thanks

]]>bbPress pages where $post is NULL (such as user profile pages) throw the following warning and the filter returns immediately:
Warning: Cannot access property on non-object in wp-content/plugins/wp-content-filter/wp-content-filter.php on line 265
L264 should be changed from:
if( in_array( $post->ID, $exclude_id_array ) )
to:
if( isset($post) && in_array( $post->ID, $exclude_id_array ) )
I noticed this when adding the biography and other user profile fields to the filter:
]]>add_filter(‘bbp_get_displayed_user_field’, ‘pccf_filter’);
First i will say its a v.nice plugin and perfect for my site
https://drmerz.com/
But when i activate this plugin my other plugin WTI like Post get disturbed. Images of thumbs gets disappeared. When i diactivate WP Content filter thums appears again

Hi! GREAT Plugin!
This is a feature request, or a “how the heck do I do it?” request….. I have a page that specifically lists the bad words that people cant use. The only problem is, they cant see it, because the plugin filters them out. ?? Is there a way to EXCLUDE a page/post from the content filtering?
Thanks!
Ben
