I have just had a warning that the plugin has not been updated for 2 years. Is this plugin still being maintained?

I’m using CPT UI and ACF to create custom post types on my site. I can’t seem to get the custom body class block to show up. Is there a custom field name I can be manually entering that would populate your plugin in the same way?

Love this plugin and it a necessary tool to have. But it won’t allow caps in the classes you add. So a class of .myClass becomes .myclass

Has this plugin been abandoned?

Hi. I want to run php only on pages with the body class. Is there a global variable I can test against? Thanks!

Thank you for this great and useful extension ! I noticed lately that it seems it is not compatible with the most recents versions of wp. The field in posts or pages simply disappeared. I can’t add or edit page classes any more. But fortunately I still have those I added previously (but can’t see or change them).

Please add this feature, I see the plugin by Justin Tadlock offers this, a body class field per category within WooCommerce and I’d like that option right now! PS: enabled it on every element via config, still nothing. Thanks.

I’ve just installed this plugin on WordPress 5.4.1 and the option to set a body class is not displayed/available on pages or posts. The plugin is working perfectly on another wordpress installation of mine.

I am getting the message on the plugin: Warning: this plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

I assume that this may be the problem?

With all of the changes to Gutenberg it seems like this plugin is no longer working properly. I can add the first class with no problem, but am unable to add a second class no matter where I click.

I’m currently working through a list of plugins that we use, trying to establish the following.

1. What cookie files (inc. local storage etc) containing personal data are being set by the plugin?
2. Do any settings need to be changed within the plugin, to make it GDPR Compliant?
3. Are we adding all the relevant information in relation to the plugin, to our websites privacy policy?

It’s my understanding that…

• Custom Body Class doesn’t set any cookie files (inc. local storage etc) containing personal data.
• There are no settings within the Custom Body Class plugin, which need to be changed for GDPR Compliance.
• There’s no information that needs to be included in our websites privacy policy, in relation to the Custom Body Class plugin?

Please, could you confirm that this is correct?

I’ve downloaded the plugin and when I go to edit my page or post I can see to the right Post Clases but not Body Clases. Sorry I’m a little green around this but I want to add a child theme class to the body class for a post. Cheers.

My site auto-updated to 0.6.0 and the plugin no longer shows a section in page edit.

Deleted and re-installed 0.5.0: working.

Other plugins activated:

with custom body class activated there is no way to edit a new page with elementor (the ‘edit with elementor’ button disappears. deactivate the plugin and the button returns. happens 100% of the time.

pages previously edited with elementor before activating plugin can still be edited, but no way to ‘enter’ or load elementor on a new page.

My thanks for this very simple and effective plugin. It was exactly what I was looking for. I compared this with one other similar plugin which was far too overloaded with features. Sometimes less is more! ??

I just wanted to let you know I found two bugs in the plugin…

1. If you disable the Autocomplete feature it causes the meta-box to malfunction in post pages of the admin. The problem manifests itself as the inability to relocate any meta-boxes when editing a page. It also causes other meta-boxes on the page to malfunction. In my case one meta-box with multiple tabs was combining all the tabs together. Basically there was a script error from your plugin causing all of this. When I enabled the autocomplete feature the problem went away.

2. The feature for allowing/disallowing of editing fields for editors seems to be broken. I assume this feature is meant to only allow administrators to change the entered classes. I found that if I disabled this feature (to prevent access for editors) it actually caused the meta-box to not appear at all, even for administrators. I saw this issue before figuring out the cause of issue #1, so I don’t know if it’s related or not.

Beyond this everything seems to be working, at least with using the page feature which is all I needed.

Is it possible to make something like this that would apply custom title class to <a href=...> so that it turns into <a class="someclass" href...> to titles of posts or pages?

Hi! I Was wondering if there is any chance I can tweak this plugin so that an added bodyclass can also be simultenously added to all pages and also just as easily removed.

I’m looking for a solution for a customer, where the customer can add and remove the class ‘christmas’ or ‘easter’ via backend. This plugins is so far the closest I’ve come across that would help me out ^^

I need to insert <body class=”nolinks”> into some of my pages. With your plugin I’ve typed class=”nolinks” into the box and clicked update, then the plugin changes what I typed into classnolinks. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, thanx for the help!

When adding a new class to a page/post and then going to another page/post that is going to use the same class it would be handy if we could use a dropdown or select list (preferred) to pick a class or multiple classes that are already defined so we don’t need to type it in for every page.

EDIT: Just realised I can type in just a single character to see classes defined before (related) but it would still be handy to have a select list ??

Hi, thanks for the cool plugin. It seems this breaks js on the page edit pages though.. I’m not sure if this is a conflict with my theme (custom by WD company) or another plug-in, but I only have this problem when your plugin is activated. As a consequence I can’t use the add media button, or close any of the boxes (e.g. yoast or extra fields).

EDIT: I’ve checked with another site, same story
