This plugin seems to have been abandoned. It’s the only one of its kind that lets you modify how a category page looks in WordPress — which is not only one of the most requested features from WordPress users year after year, but is something that WordPress refuses to include as a native part of the software for some unknown reason…regardless of how simple it would be for them to do it…
While this plugin works, your Category page will appear severely broken depending on what WordPress theme you’re using. For instance, your theme might force code on to the page that cannot be removed, and the content you add through this plugin will appear above it.

good for title, description but for content there are some bugs still

Great work! Still, I found this plugin to lack certain pieces that could really make it the right one for me. I’d like to :
– toggle post display options for date, author, excerpt
– set global options for the above that can be overridden by category-specific options
– control over header output of titles on the page (h1, h2, etc.)
There’s a widget and shortcode plugin that does some of this, but I didn’t want to create pages for each category (and shouldn’t have to).
Writing this inspired me to simply work up the category template that I wanted, but I sure as heck would have appreciated that in a plugin form instead! Keep at it!

Just an awesome plugin. I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time, and usually have to hack my themes to get a solution that’s not even remotely useful.
This plugin not only makes your cat pages more search AND user friendly, it makes life on the content manager a lot easier too thanks to the fact that it allows for html and has the WYSIWYG editor.
Just awesome guys. Thanks. -B

This plugin helped me optimize my category pages for SEO and helped make them better landing pages for users.
