This widget is a dream come true for me.
Being able to reliably create custom locations for widgets, is great. Being able to do the same with MENUS, for me is a game-changer.
Thanks so much to Kishor Khambu!!

Wow! Thank you for this awesome plugin! It does everything you said it would do — which is precisely what I’ve hoped to have for a very long time. BTW: I tried it to place the WP RSS widget in the middle of a page and it worked like a charm. I’m using WP Version 4.8.1

Totally happy with this plugin. Does exactly what I was looking for. I was able to create a widget on my photo blog for showing ‘recently viewed photos’. Needs a little studying before you get it to work, but the Help tab is a great…, eh…, help.

I LOVE this plugin! The time where I was restricted by a theme is over. Thanks to this plugin, I can add stuff where I want on my website. I also appreciate that when creating a widget area, we get a class for the future widgets that will go there. We can even create a class for widgets titles. That’s great!
Also the doc is clear and easy to follow.
It would be even better if we got a class for the created area itself (not only for the widgets in it). In some cases, it can be useful. However it’s easy to wrap the code in a DIV and give that DIV a class.
Thank you for this great plugin that enhances websites easily!

This is a very simple, rather technical solution. Make sure that you are really looking for something like this. I don’t say it’s bad, but it’s nothing an average content manager would use.

Just installed it and tested! Works like a charm!
I had hard time finding it… but it was in plain site! Look at the bottom for CWA Settings (has a gear to it’s left) as of current wordpress viewing.
Piece of cake to work with.
Thanks for this wonderful plugin.
Kind regards
Samir

I employed the “Custom Menu Location” function of the “WP Custom Widget Area plugin” (this plugin) in parallel with the “BuddyPress Direct Link” plugin to create dynamic mini-menus with BuddyPress links that alter based upon the logged-in user. It is absolutely amazing. The trick, however (as the CWA author will advise) is to understand the class ID output and link it up with your CSS. By doing this, my 100% CSS menus are beautiful, and customized for every user.
This is an incredibly valuable plugin.

I think this plugin is a GREAT idea. I wanted to pull some of my widgets off my sidebar onto a new static home page. And it works.
EXCEPT – you can’t put it anywhere on the page. I wanted it to go UNDERNEATH by [one-half]….[one-half-last]
Instead the newly created “widgets” display at the top of the page. Doesn’t seem to be a thing I can do with it.
Other than this — the widget is very easy to create & use. I would try it again if this were fixed.
