Is is possible to modify the save/edit buttons to create multiple row submission forms?

eg/ if the SQL db had NameID–JobID–Weekending–Date–Hours

and We wanted a form to be Weekending–Name–Job–Mon–Tues–Wed–Thrus–Fri–Sat–Sun

can we modify the form to allow the additional editalbe fields and then allowcate the form submission to post 7 rows of data back to the sql.

I likely have a silly newbie query and would be most grateful for your assistance please?
I’ve purchased the Premium license and all is working well with my app which is set as type “Data Management” but something I’m battling with is that I’m unable to hide the field for my primary key column (named “ID”) on the “New row” form.
What’s weird is that hiding the same column works perfectly on the row listing screen as well as the Edit form – it’s only on the “New row” screen that it’s my ID column is always displayed no mater what the visibility of that column is set to.
Is the something I can do to hide my primary key “ID” field on the New Row form please?

Hello,

In Premium App Builder I get “Error Invalid response. Please contact support.” when clicking on “Manage” or “Run and Build”. I also get the error when trying to delete the app.

I get this with two older apps I made. I also created a new one, after creating I receive the same error when clicking on Manage or Run and Build.

WP Data Access Version:5.5.17 lifetime lic.

WordPress 6.7

Server architecture Linux 5.4.185 x86_64
Web server Apache
PHP version 7.4.10 (Supports 64bit values)

This used to work, but has stopped. I don’t know when or why.

When I use the search box, the table refreshes as if to show entries containing my search data, but always returns a blank.

Is there a way to create form-input fields of the type (multi)select, other than changing the type in the db table?
I’d like to have a select field with a few predefined choices, for populating a ‘varchar’ data field.

Kia ora – with WP Data Access Premium, V5.5.16 the table on the above page – displayed by shortcode – has been working fine for some months. Strangely, it is now longer rendering (nothing has changed in the configuration) – from the back-end, the test preview displays fine.

I’m using the WPDA Premium version.
I have a table of music scores with about record a thousand records and a related table of the author of about 250 records.
I usually manage the record in my tables via the admin interface. Cause the number of records I use the search to find the records I have to work on. This works fine until few days ago.
Now I’m experiencing problem only with the music score table, search on the authors is working fine as usually, while on scores table does not. And even more, the search on scores obtain a list of about 200 records (with little differences on different search) apparently with no relation on what was searched.
I’m not conscious to have modified anything about the table description.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello, I have some simple flat SQL server tables for stock management on a remote server.
At the moment I modify the table’s quantity and price columns via MS Access and an ODBC connection.
I would like to do this work from a WordPress site presumably using the WP Data Access plugin.
Is it possible to generate the needed forms from the existing tables with this plugin or do I have to redefine the forms completely ?

What are differences to wpDataTables?

I need to make a buy decision.

I have a stored proc and I want to run it on my WP site.

The good news is that everything is configured properly so that I can run it via Query Builder.

I *do* have a query called “spDeriveData” and it does this “call spDeriveData (23,8,3)”

And that works fine.

But all of the “App” tools seem to expect me to query a table (and not to run a stored proc).

Am I missing something?

I have been using WP Data Access for quite some time. Today I clicked the switch to change the Data Explorer to the new format. This triggered a critical error. I can get back to my admin page, but every time I try to access WP Data Access from the admin menu, I get the critical error notice – so I can not longer access the plugin.

I’ve cloned my website (using Duplicator) creating a new database (of course!) I noticed that in the table wpda_project_page, entries in the column page_schema_name still contain the original database name rather than the new one; corrections have to be made manually. Could this be automated?

1. How do I change the label of this button (from “New Row” to “Add new Book” or something
2. Is there a way to disable/enable this button in the Parent-Child form based on a condition, so if a field (e.g. Status) = “OK”, display Add-record button for child form, otherwise hide/disable the button

I purchased a monthly upgrade for my dev1 server, and unfortunately had to abandon the dev1 server, I no longer WP-Access on Dev1, but I want to continue trying it out on Dev2, is it possible to transfer the licence, or do I need to cancel the first one and then buy new licence for Dev2

In WPDA ver 5.5.14 I have created apps and stored them. After having changed column settings to some of the columns, I have stored the changes. When going back to the App Builder, the updated apps don’t show any more. When trying to create a new app with a similar name, WPDA refuses to store it, claiming an app with that name already exists.

The app shows in a WP page, but not in WPDA. Why? Where should I look

In a data administration app, when I click “New Row” to add a row to a table on which a one-to-one relationship is defined, the form for the main table is displayed, but the form for the detail isn’t. The form for the detail table is only displayed after I have saved the new row (of the main table) and then click the eye or pen icon next to the newly created row. Can this behaviour be altered so that the form for the detail table is displayed below the entry form for the main table?

I have a network installation and started with WP Data Access, then upgraded to Premium. I am seeing 2 entries on the plugin list for Premium. Is it safe to delete the one showing DELETE as an option? A directory listing of plugins shows folders for wp-data-access and wp-data-access-premium.

I’m new to this and have a few questions:

1. Is it possible that a front-end user could add a file (.doc, .pdf, etc.) to the database? (Not a .doc file containing rows of data, but our current form permits uploading files as part of the form entry.)
2. Our current form has drop-down menus with pre-defined options (e.g., “Yes”, “No”, “N/A.”) Is this an option in the Form Builder?

Hello, I’ve been trying to figure out how the plugin works for a few days now and I just can’t seem to start. I have used table designer to create new tables in the wordpress database. In the designer tool, they’re all listed as created and in the right database. Now when I go to explorer (or when I try to select them in other tools like app builder or forms builder) they’re not listed anywhere.
I’ve tried refreshing, clearing the cache, I have even disabled all other plugins, but they’re still not created.
What am I doing wrong ?

In Data Explorer ==> Manage ==> Settings there is a field named “Use Hard Estimate” that allows input of a row count and an icon to calculate the count.

I run a semi-automatic process to add rows in batches of several thousand. I’d like to programmatically update this value. Where can I find the value?

My client is looking for a simple app for him to manage his affiliates.

The affiliate can sign up, and each will be assigned a coupon code that he can use to get his referrals discount offline. A form will capture the discount code when a purchase is made.

The manager can view the performance of his affiliates, and also the affiliates can login to see how much he has earned and being paid.

Can this be done with this app?

Evidently I am missing something. I created an app in the app builder, connected everything to a table, assigned roles, and can see the data in the table just fine. I can click on run & build, or view it from a webpage on my site when logged in, perfect.

Except I can not figure out how to EDIT the data. There is an eyeball which leads me to a form where I can view all the data on a row nice and neat, but I can not edit it.

What am I missing?
