Hi,
Where i can get this plugin or similar plugin (download link would be nice)?
Thank you,
MarxVeix
Wordfence just gave me the following error message for this plugin:
Plugin Name: WP DoNotTrack
Current Plugin Version: 0.8.8
Details: It has unpatched security issues and may have compatibility problems with the current version of WordPress.
I don’t know if this plugin is still maintained, but I wanted to let you know it’s been returning a lot of PHP warnings:
Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 4 in [path]/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/external/php/simplehtmldom/simple_html_dom.php on line 1110, referer: [same site]
I don’t know how serious that is, but I thought I should let you know. Thanks!
]]>… checkboxes for some widely used services, that should be allowed. So for users with a whitelist, it would be easier to choose what to block and what to allow.
… a log file to see, what servers are blocked. Also easier for whitelist-users to choose what to allow. The log file must not be written all the time, it should be written for 5 minutes or so, enough time for testing. Or make it size limited.
But the main point is thank you for this great plugin. It saved me a lot of time.
]]>Hello
I dont really know how this plugin works but I would like to know if its also affects affilite plugins like affiliateWP plugin, since this plugin uses cookies to track affiliate IDs.
Thanks
]]>Hi.
I am interested un use this plugin to stop all cookies. Later, when the user gives his consent, i would like to add that cookies by code.
It is possible? How could i do? Works with wp fastest cache?
Thank you,
]]>Using options:
“Disable tracking for all my visitors”
“Forced”
“Whitelist”
The only domain I whitelisted is my own.
Generally it works (doing before/after-tests) but checking for cookies with different browsers will inform me that a cookie from “pinterest.com” has been set. I have identified the plugin which does it, it is a slider plugin.
How can I block this, using “blacklist” and adding “pinterest.com” does not work either.
Same happens with google.com on a page where I am displaying a pdf using google docs viewer.
Is this a load-order issue?
I can’t use “SuperClean” as it breaks the site:
“Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0”
Thx.
]]>I noticed that accessing the WP DoNotTrack menu from the administrator dashboard sets a cookie: wp-donottrack_feed, which lasts one year. I’m wondering, what is this cookie and is there a way to keep it from being set?
]]>Hi
I refer to a topic that is already more than 3 years old:
?Plugin blocked rendering?.
I have superclean selected and inspecting the dom, i see two inline scripts just before the head closes.
I ran a little test on GTMetrix and as expected received the recommendation to defer parsing of JavaScript (4.6KiB of inline JavaScript).
Since you use the plugin on your blog, i ran the same test for:
https://blog.futtta.be/2011/02/17/why-your-wordpress-blog-needs-donottrack/
Inspecting the dom i notice the inline javascript. But to my surprise GTMetrix
reports 100 for Defer pasring of JavaScript.
How do you achieve this performance with inline JavaScript in the head-section?
Thanks for your time and interest.
regards
theo
Hello
Can you give me any information regarding how WP DoNotTrack will comply with Europe’s upcoming GDPR regulations? For example: Does it send the IP adress of the visitors of my website oder informations about there device to you? Or does it save this information in my server?

]]>I noticed that this plugin hasn’t been updated in a year and isn’t officially tested with the current WordPress version. Is it still maintained and does it still work as advertised?
]]>Hi,
I have found this particular problem on my website. Maybe it is something that can be related to the plugin.
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function clear() on boolean in /home/XXX/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/wp-donottrack.php:188 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: wp_donottrack_ob_filter('', 9) #1 /home/XXX/wp-includes/functions.php(3727): ob_end_flush() #2 /home/XXX/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): wp_ob_end_flush_all('') #3 /home/XXX/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters('', Array) #4 /home/XXX/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #5 /home/XXX/wp-includes/load.php(679): do_action('shutdown') #6 [internal function]: shutdown_action_hook() #7 {main} thrown in /home/XXX/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/wp-donottrack.php on line 188
I never had problems with the plugin.
This Fatal Error was reported to me from a visitor who clicked the link on facebook.
Maybe the Later WordPress Release 4.9 has changed something.
I really don’t know.
But I have thought that it was the case to report this particular problem to you.
On mobile, it works on browsers. Just only when the link on the blog page is facebook this problem is visible. So, maybe there is something that is missing on the facebook and the plugin return this error.
Kind regards

]]>after enabling WP DoNotTrack the visual editor stopped working on WP 4.7. Is there a way around it? Thank you!
]]>Hi,
I have installed the plugin “Rotating Tweets (Twitter widget & shortcode)”, which fetches tweets to display them in a widget. Unfortunately, Ghostery finds a twitter button on my blog (https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js). There is no visible twitter button and I also cannot find anything related when opening the html source via the browser. Nevertheless, Ghostery finds this tracker, even when I do not use the widget at all, but simply have the “Rotating Tweets” plugin activated.
Even with DoNotTrack in whitelist and super clean mode, I couldn’t get rid of the supposed twitter button that Ghostery indicates. Is there a way to solve this with DoNotTrack?
Thanks and regards
Ira
]]>Hi there,
I am very interested in using this plugin but it hasn’t been updated for a while.
Are you guys planning to maintain this plugin?
Warm regards,
Sebastian
Just recently activated the plugin since I do not want any of my plugins/themes to perform track on my activity nor my visitors.
How can I perform a before/after test to see the difference? Similar to how I can run online page speed tools to see the different from your other plugin, Autoptimize.
]]>I love the idea of your plugin but I have a question before using it:
How can I be sure it works for all browsers – that is that it will recognize the Do Not Track signal of any browser? Is there a way to test for this before and after it is installed?

]]>Hi – we use Google Tag Manager to add event tracking to some links on the site. I installed the DoNotTrack plugin, and it seems to render any tracked link un-clickable (I click the link and nothing happens). I whitelisted googletagmanager.com and tried every combination of settings. Any ideas on whether this is something I can fix? Thanks!
]]>The actual version of the plugin inserts javascript, that results in a warning about mixed content in Chrome browsers.
The source is the replacement of script, img and iframe sources with javascript:void(0).
For images the solution may be the replacement of the url with “data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACwAAAAAAQABAAA=” (transparent gif 1×1, pixel), for script and iframe “about:blank”.
]]>Hi,
So great you developed this plugin. Really thankfull for it.
I have a question, I am using google fonts on my wordpress website, So if i’m correct google will probably be able to see the ip addresses of my visitors?
Or is the plugin already blocking googlefonts if set to ‘superclean’ mode?
Thanks a lot.

]]>Hi, I’d love to use this on my retail site. Customers should have more protection.
I will be using either Paypal or Romancart shopping cart which will link to payment processor SagePay.
Would WPDoNotTrack interfere with any of the retail processes?
Thanks so much.
]]>Hi,
I just did the latest version update and it broke the site — the update never finished (it timed out) and now both front and back end are inaccessible, just returning the “down for maintenance” message. Renaming the plugin directory temporarily in an attempt to deactivate it made no difference.
Any suggestions? The only thing I can see to do is contact the host and have them restore the site to a backup from earlier in the week (which I can’t from here), which means the site will be down till they get around to it.
]]>Any suggested sites to blacklist ?
I can’t see what my pages are calling, it’s too fast …
What I have right now under blacklist are :
media6degrees.com, quantserve.com, lockerz.com, d.textsrv.com, ads2srv.com, pixel.quantcast.com
Thanks
]]>Hello!
google page speed complains that wp-content/plugins/wp-DoNotTrack/DoNotTrack-min.js?dntver=0.8.4 rendering blocked.
How can I fix the problem?
]]>Hi,
I just tried installing this plugin, but found it doesn’t work. I ran an external test and discovered the problem.
The plugin appears to have the following script path hard-coded into it:
[domain]/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/donottrack-min.js?dntver=0.8.4
The problem is that the website’s content folder is no longer called wp-content; I changed it for security reasons.
Is there a way to update the plugin to allow for that? I could try to hack the code, but I’m leery of doing that because it will just disappear the next time you update.
Thanks!
]]>Something — not a plugin —?is calling Quantcast on my site. I tried this plugin in all its modes (normal, forced, etc. + blacklist/whitelist) but it was unable to block the Quantcast script from loading.
I have no idea where it’s coming from… I disabled all plugins and it’s still there. Running a WooThemes theme.
]]>There is a bug in your code in this file:
SyntaxError: invalid increment operand
https://example.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/donottrack-min.js?dntver=0.8.3
Line 1
The offending code seems to be caused by your minifier? (possibly)
The code is:
(this.id=”ui-id-“+++n)
Javascript interprets this is trying to do a ++ operator on the string which is obviously impossible.
It should read:
(this.id=”ui-id-“+ ++n)
As I believe you are meaning the first plus to APPEND and the next two pluses to increment the n variable.
This broke my plugin in firefox since it meant my functions didn’t get defined – I have advised my client to remove your plugin until you fix it.
]]>That sounds great but does this plugin works with wp 3.5.1?
Thanks
]]>My PHP-Error-Log shows me this:
PHP Notice: Undefined variable: prependJS in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/wp-donottrack.php on line 111
PHP Notice: Undefined variable: appendJS in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/wp-donottrack.php on line 111

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: appendJS in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-donottrack/wp-donottrack.php on line 111
Just FYI ??
]]>I’m not sure, but 0.8.3 doesn’t seem to work on my site. Version 0.8.2 does.
I didn’t change any options. Are there any new options available between these two versions that I should check?
Also I noticed that you’ve incorporated some of Mozilla’s Content Security Policy in the latest version. I already have CSP set up in my site. Could there may a conflict there?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
